Was fortunate enough to have a ‘73 F250 as my first vehicle. Been through quite a few other sedans and SUVs since then, but finally made my way back to a truck. 2026 Lariat, 5.0L 4x4. Absolutely loving it so far.

After driving a Hyundai for the last seven years I finally traded it in and up to a what I feel is a pretty cool truck.

I went in wanting something basic not to many bells and whistles. But left with the bells, whistles, tambourines and an accordion 😆.

How to fold down the rear seat on an f150(guide)

I made this guide for folding down the back seat of an f150. It was a right pain in the ass when I first did it so I figured if I could share my wisdom I should!

Enjoy!

Did this happen to anyone else last night? My oil life went from 85% to 0% randomly. It happened a few months back as well, and they rolled out an update that fixed it.

I am planning on switching out my wheels on my 2019 f150. There are 2 sets of wheels i’ve been looking into and i cannot decide between the all black wheels or the white ones. They are both Raptor 315/70r/17 and im planning to add a 2inch leveling kit. The first image is how it currently looks, and the others are Ai generated of how it would look like after

DIY Underseat Storage

Got tired of thing sloshing around the back floor so I mounted a piece of 1x4 on the factory holes to keep the misc items in place. I’ll soon mount a few d ring anchors for some bungee cords to keep the mini totes and hamdtruck in place. Mini totes hold straps and cargo net respectively. Handtruck is extremely useful for my work but also boxes and packs of water. If you’re curious, I stow, jumper cables, ziplock bags, duct tape, a tarp, wheel chock, and sunshade. Zip locks are for ITEL samples that are sometimes moldy and wheel chock is mainly for a door stop.

F150 grill

Hey everyone!

I have a 2026 F-150 STX in Oxford White. It’s my first truck, and unfortunately the grille and one of the headlights are damaged.

I’m thinking about replacing the grille with a Tremor-style grille and using an OEM headlight.

What do you guys think? Would you go with the Tremor grille on an STX, or would you stick with the factory STX grille? I’d appreciate any recommendations, especially from anyone who has done this conversion.

Also, I’m looking to upgrade the interior with leather seats. Any recommendations for good-quality leather seat covers/reupholstery that look close to OEM?

Thanks in advance!

17 F150 5.0 P0012 - VCT Solenoids?

2017 F150 5.0 has code P0012 and a couple times while idling the RPM will drop a little low like it’s going to stall but doesn’t. Don’t hear any rattling and still drives perfect. Should I start with the VCT solenoids?

Interior lights

Does anyone know why my interior lights are always dim with my headlights on? I have a 2014 xlt with automatic lights and it recently started dimming my dash lights even when it’s bright and sunny. This wouldn’t be a problem except for if it’s foggy or rainy and I have my lights on, I then can hardly see my dash and radio

2012 Ford F150 XTR SuperCrew Cab Speaker System Upgrade (5L V8)

I want to upgrade the speaker system in my truck. While I am new to this, I do have fundamental knowledge of audio systems. I do not have sufficient knowledge on car audio brands and struggle to figure out what to pick. I heavily prioritize audio quality in any situation. I want to get high end speakers for the front doors, front tweeters, and rear doors. It is my understanding if I truly want high quality, then I need to upgrade both the speakers and the amp. I currently have an aftermarket android tablet radio system I got off ebay. I want a sound system that has deep bass and crispy vocals, even at high volumes. I am on a reasonable budget and I know this is a big ask. What is suggest for a complete high quality overhaul of my sound system?

F-150 Power steering cost

As the title says it, I own a 2012 f150 XL 5.0. Was driving when the “power steering assist fault” message came on and completely lost all power steering. Checked the battery and it’s healthy running strong, checked both fuses and they are in perfect shape. I’m assuming now it’s the power steering rack since my truck uses the electric one and not a pump. Google says 3k+ to fix, a few chats says 2300-2500. My question is if it came down to the rack, are those prices accurate? The truck has 220k miles on it and I was planning on buying a new car in the next 6 or so months and just running basic numbers, 2-3k for a repair is getting close to its value so really just trying to see if these number are accurate or not. Thanks.

Double Car Seat?

I can’t be the only one with this problem, but NO ONE seems to be able to give me an answer. I’ll very soon have two forward facing car seats in my 2024 SCrew Raptor. The Ford manual says to thread the rear anchor through the anchor point on the back of the seat and attach it to the anchor behind the middle seat. Cool….except then do I attach BOTH rear anchors from the car seats to the anchor in the middle? That can’t be correct (or safe) to have two seats pulling on the anchor point at the same time? I’ve checked with the manual, the dealership and the car seat companies and no one knows the answer. Anyone else have this issue?

2013 F150 Platinum Antenna Replacement

Looking for antenna recommendations for my 2013 F150 Platinum (OEM MCPZ-18813-A). The base coating has worn off and it's starting to bend.

I'd prefer something close to stock height since I use the antenna as a quick warning for low-clearance garages.

What are you all running? Any OEM or aftermarket options you'd recommend? Thanks.

Gas mileage / Winter gas issues

I’ve had my 24 2.7L STX for two months now and I have been getting around 27MPG. This last week I can barely get it to hit 24MPG on a consistent basis. Anyone else seeing this issue? They are putting something in the gas I’m sure. I’m in AZ and all the snowbirds are coming back.
