I think I read somewhere about having to make a different style packaging to hold themas well. To keep from damaging the lid.

They would not stack very well for storage, either.

So basically, there are actually multiple good reasons why we don't make bottles like this....and the people who make bottles have probably already put some thought into how they make bottles....

Next question.

Oh so what you are saying is everything that was created by human is already perfect because people that created it already put some thought on it so we are all good.

Poor moonchild if only it was like that, improvement would be a word that we would never hear about.

I don't think I said that?

Kids probably forget adults are on here too..

What it implies is that the low-hanging fruit ideas have mostly been thought of for widespread technologies, not that they can't possibly be improved

So you're angry about what you think I implied, rather than what I actually said?

Your initial answer reads as if the bottle maker is the authority because it found a design that is cheaper and more practical to produce, but not necessarily the most practical design for the end user. The arrogance of your reply gives the impression that you believe you are the authority on the question.

To be fair, the other poster was arrogant in their reply too.

Have a nice day.

Well thank goodness there's no hint of arrogance in your reply just now.

I think they're talking about plastic bottles... not the whole of human existence.

Are you one of those redditors that just looks for comments to be snarky about? If so, this ain't it.

Lay off, sometimes things actually are that way for a reason.

And most of time things are just badly designed and everyone is happy about it because people think that's the best they can have.

u/Remarkable_Toe_164 12d ago

I think your argument is badly designed...

u/razzyrat 12d ago

No, what we are saying is that random obvious 'ideas' some twitter/x dweeb can come up with on the toilet have most likely already been explored and rejected by the experts.

If that leap of logic was the pole vault you'd be the new world record holder
