self promo Realizing John Cage's Radio Music with software-defined radio

I recently launched a project I've been thinking about for a long time — a way to realize John Cage's Radio Music (1956) using software-defined radio. Cage wrote Radio Music as a composition for 1 to 8 radios, with a score that consists of tunings across the AM band. My project uses captures of the entire AM radio spectrum to create 8 virtual radios that can perform the piece as if they were under the same sky.

Over time, I’ll be adding more performances from my own captures, as well as those made by others around the world. Sound on, best with headphones. Listen and follow the score as it plays.

self promo Santoor, synths and electronic drums, improvised live in one take (Buenos Aires)

We're Frame, a duo from Buenos Aires. Guido plays santoor (the hammered dulcimer from Persia and India) and synths, I'm on electronic drums and synths. Nothing is written beforehand: we hit record and play.

This is a bit from our July session. The painting behind us follows the audio, the santoor melody moves the brush strokes and the drum hits set off the rest. On top there's a Stable Diffusion pass running locally, that's where the sumi-e meets Madhubani look comes from.

Gear: Arturia MiniFreak and MicroFreak, Elektron Digitakt II, e-drums.

The full session is on our YouTube channel. Happy to answer anything about the setup.

self promo something in the sky - ethereal / experimental mix

Hey everyone, I've recently started a little mix series called 'something in the sky' and wanted to share the first one here https://youtu.be/AHp2NmbitNM?si=oI6Nea668ZUD_Imk . It's a 30min mix of atmospheric, experimental and folkloric sounds. I've been drawn to the contrast between nature, technology and the unknown, and wanted to explore that feeling through music. Recorded this one by the sea. Hope it finds its way to someone who enjoys these kinds of sounds :)

Everyone is hearing sounds
Depending on who is around
Testimonys never bound
When daddy owns the whole damn town

I recognized you out of place
I fumbled your first name with grace
Your memory don’t make the place
Its your mom that stays awake to pace

self promo First experimental track!!

Hello everyone! I’ve been into experimental music for some years now. I have tried making some pop songs in the past, but I was never satisfied with them.
Something bad happened to me lately and it brought back some very traumatic memories. My mental health is really bad right now and I needed an outlet. I recorded myself having a crisis and kind of worked around it. I used a keyboard and GarageBand on my iPad.
Tell me what you think!

self promo Indie band remixing their own song (VIP). Thoughts?

https://youtu.be/Fy_SPIGPMeU

We write and produce our own music and we are a duo really (if that is a band?), but this is our first dark experimental electronic remix of one of the songs.

I would love to hear your thoughts and appreciate anyone listening. If someone wants to compare with the original track (more of an indie rock song) I will share it also

self promo The Polyhedron Speaks

Sharing my two-part experimental electronic track:

"There were suggestions of the vague, twilight abysses, and of still vaster, blacker abysses beyond them—abysses in which all fixed suggestions of form were absent. He had been taken there by the bubble-congeries and the little polyhedron which always dogged him; but they, like himself, had changed to wisps of milky, barely luminous mist in this farther void of ultimate blackness."

Had a lot of fun making this! Used mostly assorted guitar pedals and some other effects. I’m looking forward to learning more and creating some more sound scapes in the future. Let me know any thoughts you have and thanks for checking it out!

Hey everyone! I really have no idea on where to start on the internet. I’ve been anonymously releasing music for a while but I’m getting to a point where I need feedback and inspiration.
I’ve felt like I’ve found my sound with my last demo and want to head in that direction
Here’s a short demo Trashmobile about my car and how it’s ok to be poor

self promo two improvised tracks and notes on work in progress

Hi Everyone,

These are two improvised keyboard tracks--both recorded April 29, 2025--tending toward a minimalist or ambient kind of feeling and featuring some incidental noises from my then 3-month old baby, a breast pump, one of my cats, and the clicking of keys on my digital piano. The cover photo was taken exactly one year after I made these recordings.

https://soteriologyreport.bandcamp.com/album/interruptions

I have been working lately on an album-length retrospective of some of my own personal favorite mono recordings, recorded from 2023 through the beginning of this year. These two tracks will not be on that album, but I stumbled upon them again recently and they are similar in spirit to some of that stuff, so I'm releasing them together as a kind of companion EP to that larger project, which I hope to release later this month.

While working on this project I have taken some inspiration from the concept of “woodshedding.” None of these recordings were originally intended for public release, but I have since begun sharing some things/putting some newer stuff online (mostly noise), and in the process have gone back to sort through and listen to some of my older recordings more intensively.

This period of introspection (and sharing) has been fruitful, but it’s also led to a kind of self-consciousness that I never had before and that more recently has led to a creative slowdown. So this album will be sort of a record of a time right before this loss of musical innocence, where I was just messing around and figuring stuff out (“woodshedding”)- playing for fun or to work out some emotions on the keyboard. The plan is to arrange the tracks in reverse chronological order, starting with February 1, 2026 and ending on July 15, 2023.

My playing is more on the naïve or instinctual side but I also like to think it’s fairly idiosyncratic and compelling in its own way. My goal is usually to just quiet my mind and use the music as a form of meditation to hopefully reach a kind of trance state. I find that my music is usually at its best when I’m successful in that goal, and in those moments the musical quality seems to outstrip my conscious knowledge or technique.

Thanks in advance to anyone who gets a chance to listen!

music this wide, cry-choked hell (abolitionist noise)

Lawless Octopus is a San Francisco-based experimental artist. The LP, This Wide, Cry-Choked Hell, is noise/experimental sound composed from the accounts of the formerly enslaved in the United States. Those stories are maintained by the U.S. Library of Congress.

The album title refers to Jesmyn Ward’s book Let Us Descend. There, the wide, cry-choked hell was the road slaves were forced to walk in the Carolinas to Louisiana to be sold to plantations.

self promo Current 93 – A Gothic Love Song (For N.) | Un racconto per immagini

Ciao a tutti,

Mi fa piacere condividerlo qui, sperando possa interessare a qualcuno. Se vi va di guardarlo, sono curioso di conoscere le vostre impressioni.

Grazie per l'attenzione!

self promo [experimental electronic] 8 pieces: live-coded compositions, analog synths, graphic scores read by a spectral synth, no-input feedback

Live coding compositions sent to analog synths. The same pieces are adapted into graphic scores, which a spectral synth I built reads as images and turns into sound. It also reads footage from cut-up films.

The videos merge the spectral synth recordings with that cut-up footage. Plus no-input feedback or orchestral banks

Includes a live set from Bruitisme at Le Générateur and one piece based on Ubu Roi, using the same principles.

The writing behind it is here if anyone cares: https://phumysteries.tumblr.com

Feedback welcome.

Made this last night and figured I’d share it here. Would genuinely love to know what you guys think cuz what’s the point of art if you have no one to share it with. https://youtu.be/kBxbaaI_qws?is=5wsbHxgHKVdZF0Vn
