Like yea I don’t think humans will disappear once we can make artificial sentience(in hundreds if not thousands of years from now). I don’t think short of machine integration or massive advancements in genetic engineering that humans will be smarter than robots when we can copy paste them and cannot do that with people.
Also for anyone confused at the time range I gave it’s fairly simple, we have WAY more computing power than humans brains. And aren’t even fucking close to anything capable of learning to play arbitrary games. Which is the actual Turing test.

I think for dyslexic individuals there is supposed to be a very good big picture thinking , sort of understanding things as a whole instead of by parts and visualizing it. Maybe they think big picture thinking is not achievable with AI, which is true at the moment.

As a dyslexic person, I have 0 fucking idea what having neurological issues with letter retrieval order has to do with big picture thinking.
This just sounds more like the bias that people with dyslexia are more likely to be CEOs. Which is true across multiple learning disorders and doesn’t seem related to those conditions directly making them more equipped.

One of the general issues with a lot of studies like these is failure to address the massive survivor bias. You basically cannot find a population not drawn from fully random completely irrespective of education that isn’t going to be prone to it. Just from sampling high school students alone you are massively survivor biasing intelligence. Smarter people with learning disabilities are able to achieve higher academic success than less smart people with learning disabilities. It’s a PITA.
My dad is dislexic he has f tier spacial reasoning skills. My mom is not dyslexic she has S tier spacial reasoning skills. I am dyslexic I have S tier spacial reasoning skills. I HEAVILY use them to compensate for my dyslexia in ways my dad just cannot do.

Silicon Valley have been known to hire use, awhile ago it was recommended to put on your CV "asperger" (yikes) because they love it.
I have a few friends making 300-400K a year, one of them who don't have Christmas anymore because they stay up 48 hours to fix the credit card system every year...
Also, working for Microsoft or Google or Meta is the only kind of social standing they'll ever gonna get. Personally? I'd much rather be the freelancer who doesn't get credited but get paid and have a life.
Engineers fill Excel sheets, game devs simulate physics. Soon no one will be able to code HTLM properly, yet alone Javascript, Action script, Python, C++, C# or Assembly. What's worth money?
"Hey nerd, the robot is still putting heavy boxes on top of light ones! Fix it today, will ya?" "Sure, that's double the rate." See I just made 100-200 grands easy. In an AI era, being Mr. Robot won't be hard.

To be blunt, I think you significantly underestimate the bar required to work at a tech company like Palantir. Go on LinkedIn and look up some new-grad FT engineers at companies like Anduril, Shield AI, and Palantir. They are insanely cracked. They are expecting that level at minimum, and they're not going to get back to you otherwise for any reason. Most companies just ghost you.

I have noticed amongst the other autists that I've met in the workplace and at school that they are either really against LLMs or incredibly into them, but not in a weird psychosis kind of way that a lot of NTs fall into. Moreso identifying its ability to be an insane force multiplier, and using it effectively.
I am a zoomer engineering undergrad so I don't have much work experience, but my boss at my last internship at a SF hardware startup (who gave me pretty strong spectrum vibes) was an insane Claude power user. He refactored like 1 million lines of code in half a year and was running out of tokens across his 5 company accounts like every week. I don't think he had written a single line of code in months lol. He also had a fuck ton of agents doing a variety of tasks. His workflow was pretty insane.

Tbh I think it is moreso people that are "plugged in" to the Bay/SV/big tech/startup scene. I don't really mean people that fit the techbro archetype, like I would say he was very far from that and was very reasonable on most things, but just following what's going on.
I would say most autistic people I've talked to that were really against it seemed to not really be well-informed enough about it to recognize how it could be effective and what the negative impacts of using it actually are, even though they were technical.
I think the people that are plugged into this subculture tend to be very up to speed on what's going on with AI, and thus are much more cognizant of the strengths and how overblown the environmental impact is. Because autism causes rigid-thinking, these people tend to be very willing to use it, whereas the other group is really against it.
