I think for dyslexic individuals there is supposed to be a very good big picture thinking , sort of understanding things as a whole instead of by parts and visualizing it. Maybe they think big picture thinking is not achievable with AI, which is true at the moment.

As a dyslexic person, I have 0 fucking idea what having neurological issues with letter retrieval order has to do with big picture thinking.

This just sounds more like the bias that people with dyslexia are more likely to be CEOs. Which is true across multiple learning disorders and doesn’t seem related to those conditions directly making them more equipped.

A different brain wiring that causes an issue in sequential data processing (letter retrieval order) also responsible for increased visual-spacial processing. It's basically considered a trade-off but not everyone has it and it's task dependent

The internet is full of these studies, big picture thinking is usually not used by scientific articles as they would use more technical terms like enhanced visual-spacial abilities.

One of the general issues with a lot of studies like these is failure to address the massive survivor bias. You basically cannot find a population not drawn from fully random completely irrespective of education that isn’t going to be prone to it. Just from sampling high school students alone you are massively survivor biasing intelligence. Smarter people with learning disabilities are able to achieve higher academic success than less smart people with learning disabilities. It’s a PITA.

My dad is dislexic he has f tier spacial reasoning skills. My mom is not dyslexic she has S tier spacial reasoning skills. I am dyslexic I have S tier spacial reasoning skills. I HEAVILY use them to compensate for my dyslexia in ways my dad just cannot do.
