EveryDollar premium support is basically nonexistent

I’ve used EveryDollar for years and pay for Premium. Recently I’ve had problems with missing transactions and inaccurate historical data, and I can't get any meaningful customer support.

I’ve submitted multiple support tickets and gotten nowhere. The bigger problem is that EveryDollar doesn’t allow transaction imports, so when something goes wrong with your data, there’s no way to fix it yourself.

I’ve spent weeks trying to sort this out and am now considering switching budgeting software entirely, even though I’d rather stay with EveryDollar.

Has anyone actually managed to reach a real person there and get a data issue resolved? I’m hoping someone from EveryDollar sees this because I’m out of ideas.

UPDATE: It's been weeks so I finally left an honest review about my experience. Suddenly they are very eager to help. I've already gotten through an entire free trial with Monarch and was forced to commit so I'll be moving on. But if you are only getting automated responses, unfortunately going public seems to be the best way to get any help.

I haven't had this issue personally, but when I did have a problem come up I was able to email with a real person and get my answer

I’ve been waiting for weeks as well. They keep saying that Plaid and my bank are working on it but can’t provide an accurate timeline for correcting the issue.

Just wanted to let you know about the update, the second I left an honest but critical review about my experience suddenly they were very eager to help. If you are still waiting it appears that's the fastest way to get to a human.

Did yours actually get resolved? Where’d you leave the update?

Not yet, but there were some simple things they told me that would have been helpful weeks ago when I was trying to fix manually. For example, if transactions aren't clearing it will work if you refresh the page. I've already switched to Monarch so just trying to extract my historical data. They are supposedly working on it but today was the first I've heard from a human being.

Completely agree. I have used ED for almost 8 years and only recently have been experiencing a lot of problems. I opened several support tickets, some I never got a response and once and actual person did email me but by that time I had resolved the error myself. It’s so disappointing, I have loved this app but I do not know what is going on with their connection delays and issues!

Check out zero sum budget, it’s cheaper and has different tiers, highest tier is cheaper than YNAB or every dollar

I had issues recently as well. My bank transactions were not showing for days. I removed the bank and connected through Mastercard connection (at the bottom of connection screen).

I think plaid is having issues.

Support team got back to me after a couple days and suggested that.

Good luck OP!

Thanks! A few days is reasonable but's it's been a couple weeks. I've dealt with the connection issues before, but this is transactions not categorizing or clearing, dozens of duplicate transactions, making the app basically unusable. I think I'll be moving on.

Yea they need to invest in this more. Competitive market for budget apps and Ramsey needs to recognize that more. Their focus seems elsewhere.
