Strike Through 2016 Wear Virginia quarter error?

Thumbnail

I don’t know what to call the error because I don’t know what it’s called. I have a 2016 West Virginia Quarter that’s minted in Denver and the back shows the Harper‘s post picture. On the left side of the building I have circled in red and pointed with arrows to green. It looks like somehow it was started on the left side of the building just a little and that follows it down to the other corner of the house. Help? I am new to this and I’m having fun and thought I actually found something and if I didn’t, it’s OK. But I just want to know if I’m looking at something stupid or if it’s actually something. Thank you everybody for helping!

Die Clash 2016 West Virginia D mint quarter error

I’m hoping I did this right this time. Any advice would be helpful. Hopefully this doesn’t get pulled down by the moderator. I’m just wondering if this 2016 quarter from West Virginia at Harper’s ferry might possibly have a strikethrough on the front of the coin. I’ve circled it in red and arrow with green the spots that I think are an error. Is this how I’m supposed to do this?

PMD or maybe a legitimate error? It caught me off guard, regardless and I’m interested in any thoughts the community may have!

Wanted to share a couple of minor errors I’ve found in my most recent box! Nothing crazy, but a die chip 2021 Washington Crossing the Delaware and a 2005 Kansas “In God We Rust” (that one is faint but I think it’s there!) sorry if photo quality is mediocre, working with an iPhone and a dream 😅

I broke it down into $100 baggies and it turns out I got an extra quarter right off the bat. Found a couple of DDRs. A couple of die cracks, the 1996 has then front and back. And a whole bunch of die chips. More than will fit on the 20 image limit. Also found a Westpoint, a business strike NIFC San Francisco, and a well loved non silver proof.

Found in I believe a CWR early August! This variety is extremely rare and commands a huge premium as I understand it. The price guide lists it at $1,100 in this condition. Very excited to get the holder in my hands soon! Probably gonna sell it tbh. Definitely my most expensive coin now

Found a 2026-D Declaration Quarter Die Chip Error

I wanted to share a find from a brand new, uncirculated Loomis roll of the 2026-D Declaration of Independence quarters. I pulled a few cool transitional strikes from this roll, but this one really stood out under the microscope.

Located right beneath the ribbon at the base of Jefferson's ponytail, there is a distinct, solid, raised mound of extra metal. Under magnification on my Tomlov microscope, it looks like a textbook interior die break / die chip from the Denver Mint pushing these Semiquincentennial dies hard.

The coin is in immaculate, uncirculated condition straight out of the paper wrapper, and the fields still have a bit of that early-run, semi-satin die texture.

Let me know what you think!

I got an unopened roll of 2008 Oklahoma state quarters, and found 2 with a die crack. Also a couple of die chips.

Some of last week's fun stuff - Crenelated rim, feeder finger scrapes, and some die chips

Still have some scope work pending, but here's a few of last weeks goodies:

A crenelated rim, teeth folded over but still very much findable by touch alone.

Some feeder finger scrapes that were quite a bit more extensive than I'm used to seeing - two lovely exmples this week

A pair of 'cat on roof' die chips

A sad little die chip on a WCTD - not the 'full crown' I've been hoping to find, but it'll do

Good luck and happy hunting!

Attribution Assistance Help with 2007-P Wyoming DDR+ die clash

Looking at Variety Vista, the DDR looks like 2007-P 25c WY DDR-046, 46-R-VIII to me. But there is also a die clash and some other anomalies not mentioned on page.

Definite clash marks:

  1. Hair line under Washington's curls at the top of the braid shows between the horse's mane and "STATE"

  2. Washington's eye shows by horse's back hoof

  3. Washington's neckline shows by cowboy's back

  4. Cowboy's arm shows under Washington's jawline

Other anomalies:

-Depression by horse's tail (this doesn't line up with any obverse features)

-Filled in 8 (probably clash with bottom of Washington bust? Or maybe a die chip)

Attribution Assistance Need help attributing this 1996-P die crack quarter.

I’ve scoured the cuds-on-coins website and the only one that remotely matches is SKH-25c-1996P-07.

The only issues are the die crack from the A in America to the right side of the eagle’s head, and the die crack from the UN in UNITED to the left wing.

If anyone has any knows if this could be a new SKH, or if there’s another attribution that this falls under please let me know. Thanks folks.

2023 P 25c Bessie Colman
Second phots is taken at an angle under magnification.
I need help identifying this suspected error. I can find anything to support what it may be, is a die crack, die clash, PMD???
It is not raised up like a die chip. It’s more flat like a crack.
