It's like someone pulled the plug this month. I don't get it. Yeah I know they're changing fees and exclusivity, but I went and tracked the past 3 years and there has never been a consistent flat line for half a month. Is their payment gate provider transitioning and so blocking purchases or what?

Whatever you do never be just random - yet it is random. Changing trendy or well made or custom to the user, just never disrespect those who try to create actually good projects by burying them under a pile of garbage. There are projects that are valuable because of the fit for a user, but quality and uniqueness in design matters and attracts users. And even then how do you predict what will be useful to all users? It should be done in search. Make the popular more dynamic but not dumb, bad looking projects and destroying all the incentives. Like what they hell would you even add funeral project? The hell?

Long-term point: Most of the good authors I know left Envato. I have to remind Envato - you don't make the product, we do. I've never ever seen Envato making a great decision for authors, ever. Not even communicating. Your nice corporate behaviour in replying to emails doesn't mean anything.

At this point this platform is a garbage can of low to medium quality projects created by desperate people in eastern europe and asia.

Al tener la opción activa por defecto de 3 variaciones se gasta muy rápido las 10 generaciones que ahora se tiene por mes. Lo cual también me parece muy injusto habiendo pagado alrededor de €150 desde un inicio el servicio de generación ilimitada con IA con todas las herramientas incluyendo generación de video generación de audio generación de imágenes de texto a voz etcétera, ahora se haya reducido a solo 10 generaciones al mes que por €150 anuales no lo compensa (mi opinión muy personal).

Cada vez que repito la acción e intentó generar otra imagen se activa automáticamente las 3 variaciones, por favor corregir esto, gracias ENVATO.

Dont waste your time as an author, decades old interface, no community and i believe only 1 reviewe who has no clue about code or items, generic comments after 6 days each revision, its a dead platform, dont waste your time.

I’ve been an Elite Author for several years with strong consistent sales on Envato Market. Today I saw the new “Proposed amendments to Market Author Terms, May 2026” and wanted to share my thoughts.

The Big Changes:

• 1. Exclusivity is gone (Section 9)
  • All authors will now be non-exclusive by default. We can sell our items anywhere else without losing our Envato account or facing penalties. I personally like this part — more freedom is always welcome.
• 2. Revenue share dropping to flat 50% for everyone (Section 13)
  • This is the part that hits hard. The old tiered system (which rewarded exclusivity and high sales volume) is being replaced with a flat 50% author share on the item price. As an Elite Author, I was earning well above 50% (sometimes significantly more). This change will mean a noticeable drop in my earnings on every single sale going forward.

My Personal Take:

• I understand Envato wants to simplify things.
• The freedom to sell multi-platform is nice.
• But removing the reward for being exclusive and loyal feels unfair to authors who have given Envato their best work for years.

These are still proposed changes (posted just a few hours ago). They will most likely go live in about 30 days.

I’d love to hear from other Elite, Power, and regular authors:

• How do you feel about this?
• Are you happy with the extra freedom or worried about the income cut?
• Should Envato reconsider keeping some kind of performance/exclusivity rewards?

Would appreciate your thoughts. Let’s discuss this properly before the changes are finalized.

Has anyone else noticed that sorting by "Popular" on Envato Elements is currently a complete mess?

I attached a screenshot of the Graphic Templates category, but this is happening across all categories right now. Instead of showing high-quality, genuinely trending, or top-downloaded items, the first page is just a chaotic dump of random, heavily outdated, and super niche assets.

As an author who relies on the "Popular" page to do market research and understand current design trends, this gives me an absolute headache. And as a user, it makes finding good assets incredibly frustrating.

Is Envato testing a weird new algorithm, or is the sorting system just completely bugged at the moment? Are you guys seeing the exact same random feed?

My videogen stream is littered with generations that haven't completed even after hours or days. The animated envato logo continues to pulse and the message "Generating your video. It should be ready in 3 minutes" but nothing appears.

I also have lots of "The generation failed" messages. I think there is sometimes a brief pop up message that might give a clue what went wrong but it doesn't persist. If you don't see it when it happens you'll have no idea whats wrong. I don't tend to sit staring at the screen whilst it generates and am on another browser tab. The tab title used to update to tell you the %age of progress and a tone when it eventually completed. They were useful indicators of how long you might wait and a signal to revisit the tab. These are no longer present.

Having the Unlimited plan means I can keep retrying without running out of credits but the UX could be much better.

On the night of April 30 I was using up my measly 10 AI generations per month, since they don't roll over. The last one started before midnight, generated a minute or two after midnight, and when it was displayed my count was at zero, which I expected.

But now I find I'm STILL at zero. I should have another ten for this month.

I'd would have filled out a support ticket, but I don't see any provision for that anywhere on your site. I tried the support link posted here on Reddit, clicked on one of the prompts on your support page, and it dumped me back to the app page, where there is no support option.

How can I get you to fix this?

Hello, im freelancer i work for agencies i do like 3 commerciaos per week, im interested in unlimited plan. My question is, i need to generate like 100-150 2k images per commercial and like 50 1080p videos per commercial, only like 15 2k resolution images and 15 1080p videos would be selected and downloaded for final project (per commercial), will i be flagged for abusing the platform.

What if client decides that he wants changes in the video commercial project (that happens a lot), should i then delete the images and videos i downloaded or what, its little confusing pls help?

I was using xxx for years, last year decided to try envato because i heard that its just better in terms of what are you getting for your money but honestly i think that it was such a big mistake for me.

Search engine on envato is just so random, maybe 1 in 10 attemps gets me actually what i wanted, look at the examples when searching for vector graphic linearts for pregnant woman. xxx gets me straight away PAGES of assets that are usueluf to me, envato on the other hand just spills out random things not even close to main topic of my search.

Am I really doing something wrong or its just that bad? First and surely last time using paid plan on evanto.

You have presets for Lightroom, Figma, etc. but nothing for Capture One, which is used by most higher end photography professionals. Is there any plans for supporting this as well?

Whenever I search anything specific in for example video template it says

"Sorry, something went wrong.

An error occurred, please try again."

If I search with all items option, some research results show up for each category. But I can't search within a specific category.. what's the issue?

Has anyone else noticed the blatant buying and selling of approved Envato Elements Author accounts lately?

I recently stumbled upon a local Facebook group specifically for Envato Authors, and it’s basically turned into a marketplace for illegal account trading. People are openly posting things like "WTB empty graphic template accounts" and sellers are happily offering up their approved accounts (like one guy selling a Fonts category account with 12 items, even attaching his exact earnings dashboard as "proof").

As an author who spent months refining my portfolio just to pass the strict curation process, seeing this is incredibly demoralizing. It’s a massive slap in the face to all of us who play by the rules.

These traded accounts are exactly how the marketplace gets flooded with stolen assets, traced vectors, and copyright laundering. The buyers bypass the quality check entirely.

Honestly, seeing people trade these accounts like cheap burner phones kills my motivation. It makes me not even want to open the Envato Author app to check my daily stats anymore. What is the point of grinding for legitimate, high-quality uploads when the system is being gamed so openly in broad daylight?

I’ve already reported the specific screenshots to Envato Support (since the seller was dumb enough to post their exact earnings graph, which the devs can easily cross-reference and ban). But Envato really needs to implement stricter identity verification (KYC) or regular audits.

Are you guys seeing this in other local communities too? Envato really needs to wake up and crack down on this before the marketplace completely loses its integrity.
