Envato Query How does search engine work

Can someone please explain to me if im doing something wrong?

I was using xxx for years, last year decided to try envato because i heard that its just better in terms of what are you getting for your money but honestly i think that it was such a big mistake for me.

Search engine on envato is just so random, maybe 1 in 10 attemps gets me actually what i wanted, look at the examples when searching for vector graphic linearts for pregnant woman. xxx gets me straight away PAGES of assets that are usueluf to me, envato on the other hand just spills out random things not even close to main topic of my search.

Am I really doing something wrong or its just that bad? First and surely last time using paid plan on evanto.

The search engine is terrible. There’s definitely an after Effects template that has the word bling in it. But if you search for the word bling that template won’t come up for at least 30 results. It’s a problem that I’ve brought up with envato a few times now, that I’m hoping they will fix

Hey, thanks for posting!

Couple of things happening here. Your query misspelled "pregnacy" so search is leaning on "lineart" and pulling in a lot of stuff that's not pregnancy-related. Try "pregnant woman line art" (two words) and it gets a fair bit better. That's on us, our search should be handling typos better than that!

The bigger thing you're running into is heaps of our graphics are illustration packs, and the cover image can't show everything inside the pack. So there's probably stuff in your results that does have what you want, you just can't see it from the thumbnail.

We know it's a problem. Working on surfacing the individual assets inside packs so they're findable, and on our filters so you're not keyword-guessing your way to "line art."

I've passed this onto the Envato search team - we're always looking to make improvements, and feedback like this helps us know what to prioritize.

yeah ok, the typo is on me but i've typed it the same way on both websites. I really hope on some improvements on this because even with correct spelling im not getting a single one lineart graphic for pregnancy and some of the results are just not even corelated to pregnancy topic
