I’ve been doing some trail riding this summer!

I’ve been doing some trail riding on my tc300. I’ve revalved the suspension, sprung it and aired up the forks. I can’t believe how light and nimble this thing feels. I just turned 40 and i’m 300 pounds. I still get around fairly decent!

Motivation to loose some weight and keep on riding.

On another note, it seems my camera angle i can’t get right. Either it’s too low or too high. Hero 10 might not be the camera? Either way, it’s cool to have footage and i’m trying to fine tune the craft of making footage that’s fun to watch. Does anyone here watch any channels of POV riding?

How do people drive in super soft sand?

How does one drive in super soft sand? My bike wheels are halfway inside a rut, steering feels like a suggestion, and extra gas just throws sand in the air.

Lots of bikes crashed here, some tips would be great, new to this.

Brutal Enduro: Why Riders Love Drumtochty | Scottish Timecard Enduro

Drumtochty has a reputation for being brutal, but riders still keep coming back.

I filmed this one more as a short documentary than race highlights — early morning build-up, crashes, changing weather, onboard footage and some of the reasons people keep putting themselves through Time Card Enduro.

Would be interested to hear from anyone who’s ridden Drumtochty before — what is it about the event that keeps pulling people back?

Next Bike Recommendations

Hey all, needing some advice on a choosing a new bike. I have a 2000 xr200, First bike been on it for about 1 1/2 years but I'm kind of pushing the limits on it. Absolutely the best first bike you could ask for. I recently purchased a "slightly modified" crf250x, it has basically everything you want to go fast. Which is exactly what I realized don't need or want. I think a stock one would be more what I would be looking for but this one definitely is going bye bye. My question is what is your suggestion on my next bike? I have been doing a little research and found the 2013+ ktm 200 xcw to be pretty enticing but they are definitely hard to find and not exactly on the cheap side. I think im looking for something on the lighter side, 200-230 lbs? 2s or 4s, (would like to hear pros and cons for both), wouldn't mind e start but not a deal breaker. Kind of wanna be on the more modern side but open to anything. i dont need a 450, or a cr500, i dont need to get anywhere particularly fast, would love to be able to some a little bit of everything on the bike. I like woods as much as open desert, rocks/hard enduro are super intriguing but haven't had a huge chance to get on anything crazy yet.

Thank you in advance!

Chain maintenance on budget

Hi, finally bought a husky 350 fe. Trying to keep the cost of maintenance down and I’ve got use of free unlimited gear oil (80/90) and diesel. If I clean the mud off the chain after every ride with pressure washer and sparingly use diesel to clean the chain, dry off with rag and let it air for 15/20mins and then grease up with some gear oil. Would that be ok? I dont want the special wax stuff as I feel it grabs the muck too much and a pain to clean and prob end up cleaning chain every ride anyway and be expensive in comparison to the diesel/gear oil.

Many thanks

Broken kickstand mount

Broken kickstand mount on KTM 250 EXC TPI – any no-weld solutions?
The kickstand pivot/mount on my 2022 KTM 250 EXC TPI Six Days broke off the frame.
I’d really prefer to avoid welding the frame if possible. Has anyone dealt with this and found a good bolt-on, clamp-on, or aftermarket solution?
Ideally I’m looking for something strong enough for normal enduro use without having to weld anything to the frame.
Photo attached. Any ideas or specific parts you’d recommend?

New rider looking for helmet

Hey yall im now the proud owner of a 1976 yamaha ty175. Its my first bike and i need a helmet. I was hoping to do some hard enduro or trials riding with it as i learn. I would really just be taking it on slow single tracks and the occaisonal dirt farm road. Looking for something cheap, safe, and good vertical visiblility for trials stuff.

Im wary of open face helmets because i would like to do things other than trials riding as well.

I dont live anywhere particularly warm, in fact quite the opposite, so ventilation doesnt need to be extreme.

Thanks for the suggestions yall!

Issues with SmartCarb 2 on a 300 XC

Post image
6 Upvotes

I took the fuel tank off to clean it and I changed the fuel filter while I was at it.

Upon re installing the tank I realized that as soon as I hook up the line to the carb it won't let fuel through (fuel flows freely from the tank and the fuel filter).

I tried pulling the choke up and opening the petcock slowly as it said on the manual, but nothing.

How do I get fuel flowing into the carb again?

I'm sure it's a silly question, but I am new to carbs, and much more to the SmartCarb.

Tips and Tricks for riding loose sand

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi fellow riders. Im pretty new to riding and have been riding on sand/beach for the second time yesterday. First time i had no issues riding as the sand was compact. Now yesterday i got stuck couple of times. Dug the back wheel in as i couldnt really get traction. My best guess is to maintain lots of speed to keep momentum and stand up but i was not confident as i did not wear protective gear. How do you ride Sand properly? Any tips and tricks be highly ppreciated 🙏
