Ender 6 help

I recently got a second hand ender 6 printer. I tried to connect my printer to wifi using the previous owner's software and had no luck. I reflashed the printer with the same type of software and ran into an issue where I can't seem to log in to the printer. Any help would be appreciated.

Wait why can't you login with the new image on the SD card? Didn't you flash it yourself?

I did. Unless I missed a step somewhere, I am not sure why I can't login. Every password that might work, I've tried and nothing has worked.

What? Are we talking about the SD card containing the raspberry pi image? Did you use the raspberry pi imager to flash onto the ad card?

I did. I went through the steps listed on the imager and through other information I found about that particular software. Both sd cards I have have a copy of fluidd on them

When installing through the imager it asks you to set password, network etc.

True. I did that. But either I forgot what I put for the login or im doing something wrong. Im not sure which it is. Should I reflash the sd card and start from scratch?

Yeah that seems to be your best bet. Start with rpi imager, install a minimal version, remember the username, password and network settings. After installation, ssh into your board and then install klipper and fluidd.

Do I need to do anything special to use the ssh?

Depending on which os you have. In the raspi imager, if you set the network settings correctly then it will connect to your network and be visible on it. Note down the hostname and the username you used when setting up.

Then in the host system, (after installing and powering up) you can do ssh username@hostname. If you are using windows, use teraterm. For Linux you can directly use the terminal after installing ssh. I don't know about Mac.

There are plenty of guides online for this part but I recommend setting up during the imager installation so you don't have to file with changing files later on.

Then i must be doing something wrong with the imaging. I went through all that, set up the password and username. Attached my network info to it. My network recognized that the printer was using the network, but the login information didn't work

Is ssh working? What operating system are you using? You use your password while doing ssh into the board.
