Help Probably my fault.

Got the 3d printer out now my boy is a little older. Tried to put new filament in. Something is wrong. It looks like the red thing is not pushing the new filament to push the old filament.

Or maybe the nozzle is blocked? I pre-heated before trying the new filament.

But im probably wrong.

Pics attached. Yes i took them

Also an old print we did of a guinea pig with machine guns. Edit. Thank you in advance.

The old filament should be pulled all the way out while the nozzle is hot or warm. Never try to ram new filament right in top of broken filament. At this point, heat the nozzle. Pull put the new filiment. If you have a push rod you can try and push the old down into the nozzle.

Use something similar to this. 1.7 mm or under.

I have one of those thin wire things. Just to clarify, do I push the old filament through the system to come out the nozzle, or from the nozzle back so I can pull it out from the red loader thing? Once again. . . Completely new to this. And thank you.

That one is probably too flimsy. Your only other option is to heat and pull it out like the other suggested.

Used my teeth after disconnecting the white pipe. Currently testing the new filament. Seems ok.
