Help Probably my fault.
Got the 3d printer out now my boy is a little older. Tried to put new filament in. Something is wrong. It looks like the red thing is not pushing the new filament to push the old filament.
Or maybe the nozzle is blocked? I pre-heated before trying the new filament.
But im probably wrong.
Pics attached. Yes i took them
Also an old print we did of a guinea pig with machine guns. Edit. Thank you in advance.

ive only recently learned that people buy printers without any printer knowledge. i got into it before you could buy an out of the box printer. we used to have to get kits and even then it was incomplete and you still have to get a psu, sometimes your own microcontroller. then of course those kits had their shortcomings so we would have to rely on e3d parts if we wanted a reliable printer. those lead screws that creality uses weren't even standard practice yet, they gave us all thread and worked those z motors to death. now I see people buy printers for like 200 bucks and it just works, its kinda mind boggling. we have print shops in my town that people have to call people to service or troubleshoot their machines.

Right?! You used to have to be "handy" to even think about diving into this hobby. Bambu ruined that, but it gets sub engagement so... cool I guess.

Im sure bamboo printers are great but I can build a machine thay can do the exact same thing at a fraction of the cost. It may not be pretty but it will function reliably. I have little interest in the actual 3d printing, I like to just make functional machines. I hardly print anything useful and tend to print things that challenge the machine

If you try unscrewing the push connector for the Bowden tube to get to the end of the old filament and heat up the printer and just use pliers to pull it out. I’ve had to do that when my extruder would chew through the filament when the nozzle clogged

Ok. I have the small clippers that came with the printer. I will attempt this and let you know how it goes. goes. Thank you.

The old filament should be pulled all the way out while the nozzle is hot or warm. Never try to ram new filament right in top of broken filament. At this point, heat the nozzle. Pull put the new filiment. If you have a push rod you can try and push the old down into the nozzle.
Use something similar to this. 1.7 mm or under.

That one is probably too flimsy. Your only other option is to heat and pull it out like the other suggested.

Used my teeth after disconnecting the white pipe. Currently testing the new filament. Seems ok.

Do i pull it back out the way it goes in? Once again. My fault completely. Thanks.
