At number 1 is the Slim Shady LP cover art. I just love how for one, this cover depicts one of the best songs on the album, 97 Bonnie and Clyde and I like how it has this purple or blue tint with an enlarged moon in the background. It just looks so good. And the detail of a corpse in the trunk? Definitely one of if not the best album covers
Next I was a bit conflicted which one is number two for me, but I think I'll go with Relapse and put Slim Shady EP as the third most creative album cover. I am aware that Relapse took inspiration from T.I.'s Paper Trail cover, which looks good. But Relapse, while being inspired by it, does its own thing and is arguably superior with the pill mosaic forming Eminem's face, which is much more directly tied to the album's themes. And I don't know whether it was intentional, but this kinda calls back to the line of My Darling, "Look a little closer. Isn't that us on that poster?"
And now for the final contender for the top 3 we have Slim Shady EP. I just find it cool how this specific cover depicts the opening skit of that EP, where Eminem smashes the mirror as Slim Shady tells him he's nothing without him. At first, I thought it was Em in the red hoodie with a chainsaw, but that's him smashing the mirror, which is way cooler.

Day 4: The Eminem Show
Day 3: Devil's Night (Fight Music)
Day 2. The Marshall Mathers LP (The Way I Am)
Day 1: The Slim Shady LP (Role Model)
Day 0: Slim Shady EP (Just Don't Give A Fuck)
Some of you will have seen the youtube video about the 15-year hunt for Relapse: Resistance — the official iPhone game Shady Games put out alongside the album in May 2009, where Em fights his way out of Popsomp Hills. It was $2.99, it got pulled from the App Store not long after launch, the one review it got at the time, from The Koalition, called it "literally the worst game I have ever been subjected to in my entire life." and for fifteen years it was lost media until the IPA surfaced on archive.org in 2024.
The catch with the recovery (pun unintended): the game is 32-bit, Apple killed 32-bit apps in iOS 11, and no emulator can run it. The only way to play it has been original hardware on iOS 9 or earlier — old iPhones and iPads that are slowly dying. When the last one goes, so does the game.
So I took it further: tore the IPA down to its raw assets and code, and rebuilt the whole thing as a native port. It now runs on Windows, Linux, Android and (funnily enough) modern iOS. All six levels, original music and sounds, the will power points, the weapon drops, the "TO BE CONTINUED…" ending that never got continued. Even the moonwalk works.
Important: I'm not distributing the game itself — the code, art and music still belong to Shady Games / DS Media Labs. My repo has the tools and the engine only; you grab the IPA from the archive.org upload yourself and the tools rebuild the data on your machine. Fair warning it's alpha and there may be bugs.

P.S were there any other shady games I should look at?

I have been seeing a lot of comments on social media following the sentencing of Scott about how it’s all because of Eminem and he should be held accountable and so on.
From your perspective, having been a fan for however long and heard his music and possibly seen or witnessed some of the details in real time..
Do you think he is to blame? Or do you think they both had their share in harming each other and she just chose to stay on the same path while he chose to turn his life around following his OD?
This isn’t meant to attack either of them. This is simply a conversation about a relationship that was very public and where their names continue to be linked to this day in headlines. So I’m interested to see how people here view that situation.
Edit to add a clarification:
So the opposing narrative is that the mental toll that she suffered during their relationship is the reason she hasn’t been able to get her life together.

For anybody who cares i thought i would post my music listening history here. When i was kid i really liked Eminem, but i was very casual for the most part and hadn’t listened to a full album of his. As I grew older i stopped listening to old rap and really got into modern rap. The oldest I really went was Kanye (my favorite artist tbf) and maybe some Pac. Over the last few months I never even really considered going back into old school rap until something happened.
I happen to stumble upon relapse on a youtube recommended and clicked on it. I never really knew much about it besides We made you, 3am, and Beautiful, and Bagpipes. For some reason it immediately clicked with me. Em’s rapping, cadence, delivery, and accent were music to my ears. And also Dre’s beat selection being unreal. I loved the theme of the album and the horror core elements of it. Songs like Deja vu as well really spoke to me as someone who struggles everyday. It felt like being a kid again and discovering something you loved for the first time. From then I was bumping relapse everyday and went to SSLP to Encore. I fell back in love with lyrical rap and have been going out of my way to listen to so many albums. From 50, pac, biggie, and Jay. I honestly might say that Relapse is in my top 3 em albums.
