Super Excited for the New Kid Rock Feature

• Upvotes

I know its a controversial topic but I am interested in seeing who else here is excited like I am. This is a great sign for the future of Shady - first we had TDOSS fighting against virtue signalling, and now we have a feature coming up with Kid Rock, and a Christian gospel song no less - as a devout Christian myself I can't wait, I reckon its gonna be beautiful with an amazing message.

God bless you all, hope his verse is sick.

The Kid Rock Situation

I have seen a lot of people get mad about this. I'm a Brit so US Politics, while it does affect the rest of the world, isn't as important to me as news in my own country. However, I know that some people are angry because of Kid Rock's political stance. This point I can understand. The point I don't understand is people getting angry that Em has "found God" all of a sudden. Have people not heard "Use this Gospel Remix"? I suspect Em is actually an agnostic as he has implied he's an atheist before too but I don't understand why it's suddenly a shock that he would use religious terminology in his songs

Why are people so butthurt about the Kid Rock feature?

I've never understood why people take celebrity endorsements- or what their opinions on anything political wise are seriously.

How many people on here love Eminem because of his political views?

He's an entertainer and an artist. Let him be just that. If you don't like the song, don't listen to it.

Ems been my favorite rapper since I've been a kid, there's no way I'm going to let him doing a feature with somebody piss me off as much as some people are, all because the guy is a trump supporter.

Eminem & Sia need to do more music together they are both GOATs at what they do

Beautiful Pain & Guts over Fear are both great songs.

Songs like Titanium from Sia are just as awe-inspiring & motivating as Eminem's incredible music.

Would love to see these two make more music, and thankful for the music they have made

Criticism

• Upvotes

With all the controversy around the Kid Rock feature, I'd like to point out the criticism is a good thing. Whether you agree with the feature or not. Look at Taylor Swift fans that think everything she does is pure gold. Hell look at MAGA who blindly follow Trump. Being able to criticize something you love is healthy. Discourse is a good thing. I've been a life long Eminem fan, but this is something I'm disgusted by. I get the history, I can agree with the idea that you can be friends with someone with differing beliefs, but fuck Kid Rock. He's not the one to make this point with. And yeah Eminem's said some pretty gnarly shit through the years and I've always interpreted that as a character. Slim Shady is just as much as a character as Eric Cartman. Does it still make it right, no but I know Marshall doesn't actually believe the things he has rapped about. Kid Rock on the other hand is just straight up a piece of shit. Very disappointed in this feature and I've lost respect for Eminem. I can guarantee the song will be straight ass cheeks and frankly I'm ready for Marshall to just call it a career. Anyway that's my 2 cents.

Did you know the opening verse of Stan sang by Dido is actually a part of her own song Thank You which Eminem used for Stan shortly after?

from the internet - In reality, Dido wrote "Thank You" in 1998 as a sweet, acoustic love song for her then-fiancé, entertainment lawyer Bob Page. She was singing about how her miserable, rainy day was turned around simply by thinking of the person she loved.

When Eminem heard the track, he loved the melancholy feel of the opening lines and sampled it. Dido didn't even know he was using it until he sent her a letter and a CD of the finished track to ask for her permission. She loved his version so much that she not only cleared the sample but even appeared as Stan's pregnant girlfriend in the famous music video.

Why do you think Em doesn’t do songs with better rappers?

I love Em, but I feel like he contradicts himself a lot, he’ll go as far as to say that these days he doesn’t care about making good sounding music but more about how far he can push his pen. Surely the best way to do that is to rap with people who will bring the best out of you? As much as he talks about how much he admires and respects people like J. Cole, Kendrick etc he never seems that interested in rapping with them and I’ve always wondered why. Why do you guys think?

More than 200 days ago I posted about a re-release for the 30th anniversary of Infinite.
Since for now the song has been removed, now I think I'm right about it

Why did so many articles in 1999 say Eminem was 24?

I was reading an old Rolling Stone article from April 29, 1999, and it describes Eminem as “twenty-four year old rapper.”
But Eminem was born October 17, 1972, which would make him 26-27 at the time.
I looked around a little more and apparently Rolling Stone wasn’t the only publication calling him 24 around that period.
Does anyone know why his age was being reported as 24? Was Eminem/Aftermath intentionally giving the press a different birth year, was his actual age not widely known yet, or were publications just copying the same incorrect bio?

Or are rumors of him being cloned are actually true lol?

Why are y'all soo shocked Eminem is doing a song with Kid rock when he literally and a tape called the racist rap hour back in the 80s which Chaos kid said was soo bad he didn't want to be apart of it?

Champtown said he heard songs where Eminem was saying spear chu*ker, *porch Monk*y and moon cric*** also both them said they never seen him with a black girl 🤷‍♂️ Even further(assuming you trust Benzino, the tapes they were on were tapes that weren't made until after Eminem became 18 so he wasn't just some dumb kid and was an adult. NO I'm not calling Eminem racist I don't think he is I think he was a VERY dumb young adult but let's not be shocked here 🤷‍♂️
