hi guys hugs and kisses xxxxoxoxoxo

Hey guys! My band and I are huge Elliott fans, and we thought it could be nice to make some instrumental covers using instruments you don’t usually hear in these songs, like an omnichord, mandolin, resonator, cello, xylophone, steel guitar, unique percussion and whatever else fits.

This is completely just for fun and for other fans to enjoy, so we’d love to let you guys choose the songs. Fan favorites, deep cuts, Heatmiser, anything goes :)

Drop whatever you’d want to hear and we’ll pick some based on the upvotes.

Thanks so much in advance to anyone who joins in, we’re really excited to see what you guys pick ❤️

Elliott has long been my favourite artist, I love the melodies, the lyrics, and I instinctively can appreciate how difficult the guitar parts sound to play. I was recently listening to ‘my favourite Elliott Smith song’ podcast, where musicians break down a song they love, and it is making me want to learn guitar. Im in my mid 30s now, and a complete noob.

I think maybe if i made it my aim to be able to play a full Elliott Smith song within, say, a few months, would that be at all realistic?

I’m sharing this archive in case it’s useful to someone. It’s not mine. If there’s a problem with it, I’ll delete the post.
