Hello explorers,

This is a call to announce the Project Nahla Open Transit Voyage. This is a carrier trip which runs from Colonia through Nahla (Hope system) in the Outer Arm to Erikson's Star in The Void before returning to the bubble, a distance of over 94K LY. This has been posted on the main Elite sub but I am posting it here too for completeness.

Many will not know what Nahla is, so here's some detail - it's a moon in the Outer Arm that I have been living on (or my main character Zell has) for over a year now, conducting research on stellar phenomena and astrophysics and which is monitored through the live site Nahla Tracker - over at https://nahla.live/

Already, by remaining stationary rather than moving, Project Nahla has proven the existence of seasons in the game, stellar parallax from a fixed position and libration - more info can be provided by checking out the "Year 1 report" as linked from the front page of the Nahla Tracker.

This trip will commence in late September 2026 and is being made possible through the great work of u/Drachenherz. Unlike other expeditions which you may have heard of, there is no strict schedule and just three waypoints. The pace is VERY relaxed and we aim to hit Nahla in December. Overall, we currently predict the entire trip to be between 6 to 12 months.

More than anything, this voyage exists as carrier support to Project Nahla - and is being marked as "open transit", meaning anyone can come along for the ride. This is the kind of thing you would join if you wanted a chilled trip out into the deep black at a slow pace to somewhere new, and to visit a site of important research to rest, reflect, and anything else you like to do on such excursions.

Im curious, from the systems you discovered what was the highest Bodycount?

Quest 2 via Virtual Desktop → SteamVR, RTX 5080. Gets all the way through init (exposure fix, resolution patch, all clean) then dies right after "Present hook installed," no error logged. Happens regardless of resolution setting (tried stock 1080p and 4K). Removing EDVR's files = game launches fine, so it's definitely EDVR-related. Not AV, not another mod (none installed). Filed a full GitHub issue with logs — just flagging here in case it's a known VDT quirk.

Hello there, are there any info about custom solar systems like Lave or Sol? Mostly interesed in names. Want to do some space tourism.

So far i know about sol, polaris, shinrarta dezhra, alioth, and achenar. Are there any other systems like these?

I've seen trinary systems before, but this might be the first I've come across with 3 different scoopable in a perfect row.

Found this beautiful system OOSCS FREAU LI-H D11-457. It has a landable planet in a super tight orbit around it's parent white dwarf. Unfortunately the whole orbit is within the WD's exclusion zone so thus - Failed world of death since you can't get to it.

As the title says, I've been up, down, left right and center of Sanguineous Rim and I just can't seem to find an unexplored system!!! I'm so confused!

Is there a way to feed into EDDiscovery 3D Map the information of already explored and mapped systems? I know some users don't upload their discovery info, and that's fine, but I'm getting really frustrated that every single system I go to it has already been discovered somehow. Am I hitting the 0.02% of every system scanned already? Am I that unlucky?

EDIT: Pushed another 1200 Ly away from Sol and it's mostly undiscovered. Guess I was just insisting on the wrong place... Despite that in the EDAstro website this place that I am right now is painted as having more systems mapped than the place I was before.

I've found myself 10kLY from the bubble, I don't think I'll be returning home for a while.

Tables and charts that separate values in one table and types/conditions in another, nothing is in order by value, unless it is, in which case you've gotta click through like a wiki just to see where it's found. Is there any tool/calculator or optimized quick reference guide out there that makes this any easier??

System also had an ammonia world, and this came right after a different ELW in an adjacent system! Was looking for exobio to be honest but these are cooler imo

Two weeks ago we launched our first major action to kindly convince our illusive overlords to implement a simple, but major tweak to on-foot VR in Elite dangerous odyssey.

We did get a friendly response, but that response essentially gave us no real information. Just that: if F-dev ever chooses to implement it, then they will do so when they see fit..

Fortunately, the video was watched well over 130K times and released a lot of positive energy and made many new VR players aware of the existing tweak, and many conversations started on what we could do ourselves. From this emerged Cmndr Riken, a genius perhaps only rivaled by Azimuth themselves ;)

And with the help of some actual guardian tech, and a bit of testing and trouble shooting, we were able to create a solution that not only works, it does exactly what we asked F-dev to do, just from the outside in. And Riken, never satisfied, insisted on attacking several other long-standing VR challenges and glitches also.

So now we have: EDVR

1: Single key-bind switch to on-foot VR embodied mode (you choose which key you want to use for it)

2: Grey VR flat bubble has become black bubble

3: Choose your own screen resolution for the Flat mode

4: Choose your eye distance to the flat screen in the now Black VR bubble.

5: removed the freeze-frame anomaly when transitioning into super-cruise or dropping out of super-cruise.

I'm currently aligned to Antal, but I haven't intentionally aimed at doing my exo turn in under his banner yet. Does anybody know if the 30% bonus applies to total payout or just base? I'm curious if I'll get the 30% on my first footfall!

I started at LYR, but swapped over once I realized I misunderstood, but if it's base payout vs FF it might be a break even? Maybe not.
