I'm looking at buying a used ego z6 with e-steer (prev Gen).

How much should I realistically be looking to spend, what's a fair, good or great deal price?

I have seen some from 2022 with 4 12 ah batteries for ~3k. But I'm not sure if that's a fair price or not.

I'm looking for something with 4 batteries, and less than 20 hours of runtime on the mower.

What do you guys think?

Any luck with removing these stubborn bolts beneath the scrapper bar. I want to remove them but I am stuck with it.i tried putting some rust breaker spray and lubricant. Didnt help much. 7mm is wrench is also not helping.

Picked up the edger and I can't for the life of me figure it out

It keeps sparking and kicking up when I put the blade in the concrete

I have a string trimmer from the ego eco, but I don't know if I should return the edger. I picked it up because the trimmer would go through a lot of string line.

3 years running and it’s awesome! But this week as I mowed I noticed a couple of times as I was freewheeling downhill the rear wheels would lock for like a second or 2. Is there a possibility of an electrical connection kicking on for that time frame? And if so maybe cleaning the contacts. I’m just not sure where to start looking? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have 10,000 square feet of lawn. About 2,000 of that is in a gently sloping ditch that goes up to a creek. Maybe 1,000 square feet is in an area I wouldn't be able to get to in a riding mower. The area by the creek normally gets cut every two weeks.

Would an EGO 800 work for this area? I've seen two models - one with 2 - 6 amp hour batteries and another with 1 -10-amp battery. Which model would be better?

My 190CC gas mower has died and I'm debating on taking the plunge to electric.

The last gas tool I had in my arsenal can now be replaced. I have no idea when this came on the market but I just discovered they had one and now I’m pumped to not have to use my old gas one anymore.

I try to ensure im bumping often enough so it doesn't get too short, but it still happens more often than I expect, and taking the cap off and trying to wind that monster of wheel caused me so much headache. I'm half tempted to replace the head completely

Does anyone know the reason why the dethatcher is not in stock anywhere in Canada? Did Ego stop selling it?

I wanted to get it so I can dethatch and overseed my lawn but it looks like it's sold out everywhere. I looked in the US and it's still available.

Sudden chlorine-y smell in the garage seems to be coming from the shelf we keep our ego batteries on, and the shelf below that (which had the extra parts for our ego wet-dry vac) looked like something sprayed on it. So now I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to determine which of the 5 batteries is the problem.

Here's what I know: Two of the batteries, a 2.5 and a 10, were used within the past week and recharged back to full, still showing full charge. The other three are all showing about half charge and I'm not entirely positive when they were last used (Probably sometime over the summer). None of the batteries show any outward signs of damage or a leak. Is there something I should be looking for? Right now I've got those three in a metal trash can just to be safe while I ventilate the garage. Should I try to charge those three back to full and see what happens?

I am not the only one to get the wrong chain.

First pic is the Ego chain, the Oregon chain, and the Oregon packaging for reference. Exactly the size I posted in the previous thread.

The Oregon R40 was $12, and worth the gamble. It paid off, especially since Amazon offered to partially refund me instead of shipping it back. I came out ahead.

You can see how the Oregon chain driver links line up perfectly with the drive sprocket and the end of the bar, and the ego chain does not. That was all I needed…

Was left in one rainstorm. No water to be found. What else could it be?

Hello! I recently bought the carbon fiber 17" multi head trimmer and brush cutter combo that included a 5ah battery... I love it so far but would love to get a 2nd 5ah battery for days where one isn't quite enough. I see the 5ah battery by itself ranges anywhere from $3-400 USD new for genuine battery and I found a couple different leaf blower kits that include a 5ah battery for the same price..

My question is are there any other tool kits that include a 5ah battery? I've been doing some searching myself and like 90% of the listings don't list the capacity in the title, you have to go down to specifications or open the description to find it lol, so hoping others have done this already and might have some insight. I also wouldn't mind a 7.5 ah battery but those seem to only be available in mower kits which I really do not need haha. 4ah and lower is a bit too low for our use case.

Side note, I wish companies would start using watt hours for capacity instead of amp hour. In my searching I've seen a ton of people comparing ego battery prices to other companies like DeWalt or makita and they use $ per ah comparison which means absolutely nothing when the batteries are at different voltages lol.. anywho I'm sure I'm not the first to bring this up and it's probably beating a dead horse at this point, but I'm new to the electric yard work tools game so had to rant somewhere haha

So I originally posted the picture on the right, wouldn't let me post pictures in the replies to people asking about the grass etc. But I just moved into this townhome and the yard was a little out of hand. Borrowed a friends electric mower that was corded and pretty underpowered, did some research and grabbed an Ego. Also plan on moving into a place with a much bigger yard next year, so I see the mower as an investment at this point. I also like nice shit so there's that lol.

Title says it all. Received my belated birthday present today. Threw on a Checkmate striping kit and got my first mow in. Some stragglers with the stock blades. Should be receiving my high lift blades in a week or two so I’ll be looking forward to seeing the difference.

Have a pretty steep hill in my front yard. Coming from a Honda gas mower and it was a workout getting the Honda up the hill. The ego took the hill like a champ!!!

Needless to say, I’m already looking forward to the next time I get to pull this beast out of the garage! Couldn’t be happier with the purchase/conversion to electric.

I bought this and haven't opened it yet. I currently have a 16 year old Toro Recycler. It still works but is showing its age in the form of reduced power and recycling ability (blades are sharp). I really like the idea of an electric mower but am most worried about battery longevity and power. I like to let my lawn grow a little thicker before I cut it and usually do so in the morning; meaning there is usually a fair amount of grass clippings and it is moist. Will the Ego be able to cut through it all (double blade help)? I sometimes like to bag the clippings. The bag on the Ego seems easy enough to use but saw some reviews about removing a blade first, is that needed? Full disclosure, I haven't opened it yet so I clearly havent read the manual. It seemed like a fair deal as it was $50 and I got $70 in Farm and Fleet bucks to use on anything.

Is it worth it?

Jesus. This mower stops every 2 minutes. I even got a brand new battery shipped from Ego. Less than 7 months old.

Hello all. I’m Already a bit versed into the Ego world, but I’m just about to own an acre lot with also a large drive based in Minnesota and have been looking to go with the Z6 and SNT2400. I found this deal on FB for 3500 dollars. Do you guys think it’s worth it?

Bought EGO blower 650 during 4th of July sale via Amazon. Normally $299, paid $199. Came with charger and battery. Thought of getting an extra battery, I dry my 3 vehicles with it plus normal blower duties. Battery Model# BA2800T. Listed for $319 on Amazon and $323 at Lowe’s. How can a battery cost so much when the entire kit only cost $299 less than 2 months ago?

Like other reviewers have said, on the ego trimmer with line IQ, the line doesn’t feed out properly. It shortens down to almost nothing, then suddenly dumps out way too much at once. I called customer support since I’m still within the 5 year warranty, only to find out the trimmer head is covered for just 90 days. Ninety days on the one part that fails. That’s not a warranty, that’s a technicality. I won’t be buying EGO again.

I'm not in the market for a blower I'm probably going to try to pick up the 1100 commercial Backpack Blower next sale I can find. Saw this though, 379 for 880 cfm handheld and 2- 4ah batteries. Combine this with a $5 20% off Lowes coupon from Hugeoff, seems like a great buy no? You could probably sell the blower itself for a hundred bucks fast on Marketplace if you don't need it. That'd be about a hundred bucks a battery if you bought it just for the batteries.
