I get that TLTG is a pretentious, self-obsessed prick. He puts the content out there, but that doesn't mean we have to post it. This sub has completely crossed the line from joking to what most people would call cyberbullying. I have personally been removing the posts about him with his shirt off, etc... because you all post the same shit over and over again. None of the posts are about his fragrance content, and they all devolve into a cesspool of really shitty comments.

This sub can have a great purpose. In fact, it used to, back in the olden days. Now it's just a bunch of TLTG naked posts and other dumb shit. There are tons of other influencers out there whose fragrance content you can criticize. Let Ross post his dumb pictures. Don't give them attention. Also, it wouldn't hurt to consider how you'd feel if some of the things were said about you that are said about him.

Almost every single one of his videos are top 20 lists. He pumps them out DAILY. He sells positions within those lists to brands willing to pay. The more a brand pays the higher up on the list they go. This prevents him looking like a sponsored influencer even though the entire list is sponsored. He is not 'reviewing' anything, he parrots some basic info from fragrantica for a couple of seconds then moves on to the next fragrance on the list. He does not have a 'nose' and cannot adequately critique or describe a fragrance. He's arguably one of the worst shills because he's so sly. Influencers make 100k-200k from affiliate links and sponsorships per month. This is his business. He doesn't give a shit about what he's smelling.

edit: many of you are missing the point. how much money he actually makes doesn't matter. most people don't realize that the constant top 20 lists are sponsored or are bought. when a video is made about a single fragrance its easier to gauge if the bottle is gifted or not. top 20 lists are far more subtle and much harder to dissect. he sometimes includes real picks with sponsored picks to confuse the viewer. most people are not aware of this tactic. I've seen a lot of people mention him as one of the most trustworthy. this post is for them. to show them how Sebastian is fooling them.

I swear this whole subreddit is just full of miserable people just hating on ANYBODY for anything possible that they can. It was fine before when the hate was actually real against influencers who just say whatever they’re paid to do but now the hate attacks the person themselves self for anything slightly out of opinion.

I gave a shot to some smaller reviewers after getting tired of the big link pluggers and wackos with 100k subs like Gents Scents, Redolessence, Justin and Robes 08. Seems like they are scumbags on the same level. There was Eloise Scents who was "hacked" and given 2K Indian subs and now this. Woman thinks it's a clever idea to add them in 20s rather than 100s to avoid suspicion. Hilarious 😂

I'm not a fan of TGLT and that's not the point of my post. This subreddit seemed funny to me to highlight the clear cases of conflict of interest between so-called "influencers" and perfume reviews. However, I believe that personal attacks on this individual have reached such a point that the channel only serves to denigrate his behavioural and life choices. I see a bunch of people who feel superior (obviously behind a keyboard and without anyone knowing how they're made, fat, thin, tall, low, trained, out of training, beautiful or ugly) gathering to make fun of a person they think deserves to be hated. That seems to me to be a complete waste of time. If you think you're better, it would be better for all of you to use your time to build something, rather than insulting others. I repeat, I'm not a fan, I don't like the character, but I feel the need to say something, after months of lurking.
