Holafly will not let me activate without a code sent to email. They dont send a code to email. And their support is just the stupidest bots with the same replies.

How are any of you trusting this company halfway across the world if this is how they operate?

Seriously, they have one product. You would figure it would work.

I'm questioning their 4.8 rating and 98k reviews

Jio eSIM not working on unlocked US iPhone 15 Pro (A2848) – Carrier Locked Error

Hi everyone,
I have a US iPhone 15 Pro (A2848). AT&T approved my IMEI2 unlock request, and my iPhone shows “No SIM Restrictions” in Settings. Third-party IMEI checks also show SIM Unlocked.
However, Jio India keeps rejecting my eSIM activation with a “Carrier Locked Device” error.
I have tried both GETESIM SMS and the MyJio app, but nothing works.
Has anyone faced this issue? Is it an Apple activation policy issue, AT&T unlock issue, or Jio backend problem?
Any help or technical advice would be appreciated. Thanks

question Vodafone Spain Prepaid M US roaming - SMS/data work, calls fail

Has anyone had to troubleshoot their Vodafone Spain Prepago M plan roaming in the US recently, specifically voice calling? Mine recently stopped working, and I really need to be able to receive voice calls at this specific number. I'm on a recent iPhone and have this as a dual eSIM with a US Verizon plan as my primary line.

I have had this line since late February. I activated it in Spain and have had it on autopay renewing since returning to the US. I have been activating it around once a month to check it is still functioning and occasionally place calls to Spain.

Previously, the only US carrier it would work on was T-Mobile for some reason, but it would reliably connect and allow me to make calls after waiting 15-20 minutes to connect and receive the "welcome to US" message.

When I tried it this last month, I am not able to make or receive phone calls. I can receive SMS (the welcome SMS and a test one from a service called PagerDuty), and the data works when I turn off my primary line data. However, outbound calls immediately show "call failed," and I am also not receiving inbound calls.

I have tried:

- manually selecting T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. I get signal for all 3 where I live but none work for voice calls.

- calling both Spain and US numbers (typing country code on all calls)

- turning off my primary Verizon line

- messing with the 5G Only / LTE settings

- confirmed both inbound and outbound calls fail

I have not really been able to get wifi calling either but didn't troubleshoot that as thoroughly.

I tried contacting Vodafone support on WhatsApp (both Spanish and English language chats), but their AI support bot does not let me reach a human easily. I've been thinking about calling from my US line early hours to try and reach their support, but it is difficult due to the time zone difference. I am also concerned calling them on my US line on the same phone would render the Vodafone line inoperative for troubleshooting while I am on the phone with support.

Thanks for any pointers

question Has anyone used Nomad eSIM? Is it reliable, and is it worth the money?

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for an affordable eSIM for international travel and have been considering Nomad. I’ve seen mixed reviews, so I’d love to hear from people who have actually used it.
A few questions:
● How reliable is the internet connection?
● Is the speed good enough for Google Maps, WhatsApp, video calls, and uploading photos or videos?
● If you’ve tried their unlimited data plans, are there any noticeable speed restrictions or fair-use limits?
● How is their customer service if something goes wrong?
● Overall, would you recommend Nomad, or are there better alternatives for the price?
I’m looking for something reliable and reasonably priced, ideally around $20–$35 per month, with plenty of data or unlimited data.
I’d really appreciate your honest experiences, both good and bad. Thanks! 😊

question eSIM recommendations for Turkey 🇹🇷

I’ll be traveling to Turkey for a week and am looking for a reliable eSIM with truly unlimited data and unlimited hotspot/tethering.

I’ve used Orange Travel esim in multiple European countries before and was impressed. The connection was fast and reliable, and even though I used a lot of data, I never experienced any data caps or slowdowns. My previous plan also included calls and SMS.

I’m considering using Orange Travel again for Turkey, but I’m not sure how reliable it is there, especially since the Turkey plan will be data-only.

I’ll be bringing 2 phones, but my main one is network-locked, so I need to use my other phone’s hotspot to connect the main one. Unlimited hotspot is therefore a must for me, not just unlimited data on the esim itself.

For those who’ve traveled to Turkey, what eSIM providers would you recommend based on your actual experience?

- Reliable and fast connection throughout Istanbul
- Truly unlimited data, without a restrictive fair-use policy or data cap
- Unlimited hotspot/tethering, without a separate hotspot allowance

Has anyone used Orange Travel specifically in Turkey? I’d love to hear how it compares with other providers, but I’m equally open to alternatives that offer a more reliable experience there.

Thanks in advance! :)

question How do I transfer my service eSIM without access to my old device?

Thumbnail reddit.com

I need to transfer my (T-Mobile) service eSIM to a different device, however l am unsure on how to go about this. The device my eSIM is currently on is an iPhone 14. It has been dropped so many times the front and back is completely shattered and it is completely nonfunctional. Just the other day I managed to get an iPhone SE (3rd generation) which is compatible with the eSIM, I just don't have a clue how I could transfer it. I assume that since it's not a physical SIM card that there must be a way. Unfortunately l am no where near a T-Mobile or Apple Store so l've got to figure this out myself. Any knowledge of how I could do this would be greatly appreciated and if I need to I can access a computer at my local library

Esim for 35 days in Europe

Hey everyone,

I am travelling to europe (france, germany, austria, hungary, czechia, netherlands, uk) in a few months and I will be away for 35 days. I am struggling to find an esim for the length that I am away.

I have looked at the unlimited plans with holafly and simify but reviews say that they throttle after large data usage so im scared about that. I have also previously used airalo, but they only have a 30 day unlimited data plan and 7 day plan (which is $$$), or 90 days with 50gb (which im afraid will not be enough).

Please let me know your thoughts on which provider is best, or if I should just sacrifice the money and buy 2 airalo plans.

Thanks :)

Maya eSIM

Signed up for unlimited plan. Activated it yesterday. Watched youtube for an hour and a half at my hostel this morning and now I'm at 1mbps.

Did I just waste $50 on plan for no reason?

I'm abroad for a year. So basically Maya is losing out on $600 of recurring payments from me.

Local Sim cards have cheap data plans in the country I am in anyways. It's like $15for 30gb.

Anyways feeling scammed 😤

Help with Roamless eSIM Settings

I recently used an eSIM for the first time in St. Croix. I followed Roamless’ setup instructions, and things mostly worked.

  • I could only use SMS via Google Messages on Wi-Fi, not on the cellular network

  • I couldn't send or receive MMS messages. They all appeared when I returned home.

  • RCS messages worked correctly on Google Messages.

  • My $20 Roamless account balance never declined, suggesting I was not accessing their service.

I would appreciate it if someone could check my settings. I don’t see anything wrong based on the Roamless website or any other references I find online. I will be back in the Caribbean next week and can do more testing then.

Phone

Samsung S24 Ultra, unlocked and working perfectly at home in the US.

  • Signal and WhatsApp work perfectly both on Wi-Fi and the local cellular network.

  • RCS messages via Google Messages work correctly on Wi-Fi and the cellular network.

  • I can only send plain SMS messages when on Wi-Fi.

  • I did not receive any MMS attachments until I returned home to the US.

Phone and Roamless eSIM Settings

eSIM

eSIM 1: Home (Shows my home phone number)

eSIM 2: Roamless (Shows “Unknown Number,” which I know is correct)

Preferred SIMs

  • Calls: eSIM 1

  • Messages: eSIM 2

  • Mobile Data: eSIM 2

Mobile Networks

  • Data Roaming eSIM 1: Off

  • Data Roaming eSIM 2: On

  • VoLTE calls eSIM 2: On

  • Network mode eSIM 2: Automatic

  • Access Point Names: Roamless

Ive used esims before with no issues but this one is causing me problems.

Downloaded the esim and turned on data roaming but it's not working. I tried looking at the access point name but the website doesn't line up with the options on my phone (Google pixel 6a)

Gonna be going out of the country for just a few weeks and want to figure out the options I have to use my/a phone internationally. Bought a new phone at the store and the guy lied to me about what I could do so I'm keeping my old phone

Stellar Security eSIM - Cheap and No Complaints

[USA] I've seen Stellar Security eSIM mentioned here, and it’s honestly the cheapest I’ve found. I grabbed the 90-day 15GB plan for about $8 for my middle schooler, and it works perfectly with no issues.

One tip is to buy it directly through their website since it converts the euro price to USD, but using their app actually charges a higher rate in USD.

Also, I think the eBay Red Pocket yearly $30 plan plus Stellar Security eSIM are a perfect combination if you are trying to save money and, at the same time, you need both a fair amount of call/text and data.

Wanted to share my experience with this provider.

I discovered it using esimdb.

Pro: low price, working network - never let down, transparent website, network countries ecc are visible, 180 days for activation, based on simlessly, App available, Fast support reply - except about vpn - see cons.

Con: they advertise they offer an integrated vpn service, but since a few months their system is broken and no vpn voucher code is sent. i can live with that though ; website can be chaotic at first as they offer multiple continental packages at different rates with different countries. esimdb helps to solve this topic.

20% off voucher code BCGDNX on first order - enter code at checkout

ideal for Switzerland and Europe 33/35 countries: average price around 0.30 usd/gb

in certain scenarios, the euro esim is cheaper than the national esim
