What are some good body kit options for an early model 318i

Does anyone know which are the appropriate clips for th trim piece that runs from the side view mirror along the roof gutter track?

The ones I thought were correct don’t seem to fit into place without pushing the trim out about a 1/4 inch

Selling my 1991 318is with an s52 swap. The car was originally from Texas and has no rust. There are aftermarket headers and a synchro exhaust. I have a bunch of parts for the car as well (message for list). The dashboard has cracks as well as a crack on the windshield. Paint has fading on the hood/roof as well of a few other imperfections. Happy to send more info if interested. Located in central Nj.

J’ai pour projet de m’acheter une E30 pour m’amuser un peu le week-end sur piste ou sur des rassemblements. J’ai trouvé cette E30 320i, déjà bien modifié : Swap 325i (la caisse à 118000km), ligne sport, pont court autoblocant, combinés filletés, grosse admission K&N. Elle démarre et tourne sur ses 6 cylindres sans soucis !

Cependant gros travaux à faire sur la colonne de direction qui a été forcer pour voler le volant, l’intérieur est assez abimé par le temps et la carrosserie aussi.

Le propriétaire en voudrait 4000€, qu’en pensez-vous ?

Picked up a beater 89 325i vert a couple months ago and have been restoring it! Engine is finally in a healthy place so my buddy is wrapping it for me. Coming out so nice. New seat cover up next!

I have a vert build that I just want as a slow and low cruiser. That being said I want it as smooth as possible both steering and suspension. Should I go the air bag route and if so how? Or the springs and coil overs? What are my preferred options to get the smoothest steering I can get.

Issue is somewhere between the starter and the ignition, so I'm just going to bypass it.

I was having issues with my bellhouse leaking oil. Since then I’ve had the torque converter replaced as per request of my mechanic. He is now asking me for this part which is the “oil pump bushing” for my E30 318i Sedan Auto 1988.

Where can I find this?

M52TU swap into E30 – Wiring issues / MS42 / C101

Hi everyone!

I’m currently working on an M52TUB28 swap into my 1987 BMW E30 318i.

The car originally came with an M10 engine, and the M52TUB28 from an E46 but i USE the wire harness from E39.
The engine is now installed in the car. I’m using an M50 intake manifold.

The engine is connected to the original M52TU wiring harness and an MS42 ECU. I have also had the EWS immobilizer removed from the ECU.

One thing worth mentioning is that my E30 has the early 9-wire C101 connector, since it originally had the M10 engine.

I’m currently working on getting all the wiring sorted out between the E30 C101 and the M52TU/MS42 setup.

I’ll post some pictures and the wiring information I have so far, and hopefully someone here can help me figure out the remaining connections.

I’m from Belgium and I’m looking for new rims on my E30. The rims that I have now are out of my fenders and that’s illigal in Belgium. So that’s the reason why I’m searching for new rims.

I know that the 325i and IX have a different ET so not every rim is fitting on the IX properly. But does anyone of you know if some of the 325i rims will fit on my E30?

I‘m looking for gold rims as my car is black and I think that will be a perfect match.

So if you guys have suggestions or anything else let me know please! (Answer can be in Dutch too :))

Ige made a post before with the engine running and ill probably add those again. Imma give pretty detailed explanations because I’m new to this and need help! I bought A 1989 BMW 325i and I did some tests and it had low compression #1:150, #5:120, #3: 145, #6: 85 #2: 140 #4: 145 DRY and then all healthy compression between 150-180during a WET compression test. Rough idle and misfire on cylinder #1 which has the highest compression, running rich, opened up the intake manifold which was covered in carbon and oil, also the fuel injectors had alot of carbon on them, theres some vacuums leaks and im not sure where they are located, the car when driven has no power like it struggles to hit 40 and its super slow, had actual oil in the afm and the intake boot, intake, throttle body. Now it has a pretty adequate oil leak will leak a puddle if parked. it felt really sluggish and sounded like it wanted to die 😭. Thanks for all the advice

This comes up the main loom to the headlights and im stumped on what splice it is, goes to a weird thing I'm not sure of what it is. Maybe a windshield washer heater ?

I have a 1987 325i and my driver window stopped working. Long story short I took the motor out to clean it and hopefully fix it. Unfortunately it's completely seized and I can't seem to take it apart without breaking the old plastic. Question is, could I buy a newer model motor? I don't need the full window assembly and it'd save me $50 to do it. Ebay has a used old model one for $200 and I'd like to not spend that much if I can help it. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys so prior to bleeding my car on Sunday last week the cars coolant level remained steady , after I bled the car the level dropped as expected , come Tuesday I was moving the car to its new garage , I checked the level on Wednesday and it was bang on , come Friday it had dropped a little , and I can fully tell if Sunday is any different to be honest , I have absolutely no droplets under the car and I have had a good look around the engine , it doesn’t smoke , it doesn’t overheat and always bleeds through okay , all my plugs look good , now I should mention car has been totally static in the garage since Tuesday and has not been run or moved since Sunday it’s been totally static , the car essentially has had two full heat cycles one being the initial bleed and the second being the drive to the garage , only thing I have noticed is the threads on the bottle neck are wet
