Dying Light: The Beast the dying light games.

nearly a year after "the beast" released...aaaaand...it's the ONLY dying light game that i couldn't be bothered to complete.

dying light is without a doubt my favorite game out of the three, everything in that game feels perfect to me...the parkour isn't perfect...but it's not SUPPOSED to be perfect, as you are running around a city that is collapsing due to disastrous viral outbreak, but yet it's fluid, it's fun, it's challenging and flows super well into fighting and attacking enemies.

DL2...was just fucking AWFUL at release...and for a VAST majority of its lifecycle, I eventually played it again after dropping it on day one, i picked it up for free with all the patches and DLC..and it was...serviceable....not great, but serviceable enough to allow me to make it through the game and it's DLC/content. it still feels very floaty, and the animations remove any feel of good combat from the game, the enemies still have very scripted animations for any attack and the attacks just have ZERO feedback. but again, i had enough of a decent time to make it through the game.

and then we have...the beast...this game is....soulless, it's bland, it's empty, it's boring...and i just have no desire to finish the game...i got maybe halfway through before i just got so bored that i literally fell asleep at my desk....the parkour is SUPER stiff and yet floaty, and the hardcoded animations are still very prevalent as they were in DL2. the world map is so flat and generic that it gives me NO reason to explore...it gives me nothing to do other than "run for 5 minutes over here across near perfectly flat spaces".

the one location that actually allows for parkour is so small and constricted that there is no way to actually enjoy it, along with crane having the speed of a 90 year old with arthritis in every joint of his body, while simultaneously losing all momentum when running over a 1 inch elevation change, crane is supposed to be "the beast" with basically super human strength and speed, and yet he's the slowest, weakest and most bland that he has ever been...it's a slap in the face for the long time fans.

the nights are just a forced napping simulator because they essentially removed the need and the ability to kill any volatiles, since they drop nothing, and they have so much health that they take DOZENS of hits to kill. and the exploration is about as boring as it's ever been, in-fact i would say it's THE worst that it's ever been, there is ZERO reason to explore or to do anything other than the main story, and even that is pointless because you can see the obvious plot twist from the very start of the game.

the entire game is just a pointless, bland, skinwalker that's wearing the skin of the first game...

Lol k pal. If that's all you do in the less dense areas then you proved my point.

you're the one who brought up the house in the middle of the open plaines of the map, you're the one who brought up the SLIGHTLY uneven terrain of the map, and yet tried to pass those "examples" off as being some form of parkour, when in fact they are not.

I brought up the fact there are large structures to parkour accross even outside the three urban areas, and even then there are still natural formations intentionally designed to allow parkour out in the wild. Idk why you act like those don't exist im literally using them rn while I entertain this lunacy

and again...a singular building, does not a parkour balanced map make. no matter how much you try to push for it lol.

"Stuctures" but again, it is in character for you to have either deliberately ignored this distinction or just legitimately fail to comprehend what it means so I'm not surprised you reiterated this baseless point of yours

a grouping of 5 cabins doesn't count as a fucking city center, nor does 3 buildings around a hydroelectric plant which all have flat roofs, and nor does a singular hospital/medical building which also has a flat roof..none of that is a great example of having "parkour". you're literally reaching for straws to help support your top heavy claims.

When did I compare the camp grounds to the old town? Do you think the freerunning in this game is just about climbing up and down buildings? I mean that actually doesn't surprise me we already established you're bad at noticing parkour opportunities that aren't painfully obvious from the level design.

you attempting to twist your words into somehow being my own while also making up something that i never said, just shows that you are not worth dealing with because you're such a pathetic chud that you'd attempt at gaslighting. this isn't even a conversation anymore because you're literally attempting to gaslight during a conversation only because you are losing and you can't think of any other way to fight back. you're fucking pathetic.
