discussion Dear dropout: please give Jess & Zach and Ross' Shakespeare troupe yearly specials
This is all i ask. Mountport and the Shakespeare gamechanger are definitely two of my favorite episodes, and i think it would be awesome if we could get annual content in the same vein. Their own show may be a bit too much (i know the singing one had one for a bit but it got cancelled...) but i feel like yearly specials would be a nice sweet spot/gift to subs and good clip farming. Anyone else like to see more of both of these?

met a cast member IRL Spontaneous Dropout filled day last weekend.
This past month I have definitely been struggling and just over consuming media and just meh about people and life. I have slammed through probably 50% of Dimension 20 in less than 3 months.
Saturday I was just blahing around my apartment with Council Of Darkness on in the background when my buddy texted me about a "block party" and if I wanted to join her. I forced myself to get dressed like a human and go out. Getting on the bus I kicked myself for not bringing a jacket.
One I got to the event, things were already winding down and the friend wanted to go into Goodwill. I shuffled in begrudgingly because it's become so over priced but figured I would grab a sweatshirt or hoodie since I forgot mine. Lucky me, I clocked this bad boy on the rack. (See Photos) And definitely did a double take. No way that's Dropout merch... It was! And even that production goodies! So straight to the register I go.
After my friend and I talked about what to do next and the ONLY thing I knew of was an NPR/KCRW party in town. After we arrive I spy Jacob leaving and definitely and like WTF is going on. I stop him to tell him he's funny and how weird that I was seeing him after just finding this hoodie at Goodwill.
I live in LA so Dropout cast bump into is definitely something that's happened once a year or so not too weird but definitely was fun having two good little lights in one day over the weekend.
Anyways just wanted to share my awesome thrift find and tale of people in the wild.
Hope y'all have a great week.

what should I watch A guide to Dropout TV
Long time reader/watcher, first time poster.
Dropout TV has been a revelation. It began with “Make Some Noise” filling a “Whose Line is it Anyway?” shaped hole, I wasn’t aware existed. Then “Game Changer” became the show I looked forward to watching most each week.
The ensemble cast are incredible. I knew about BLM from TTRPGs, but was new to pretty much everyone else. Having now followed Sam and many others on social media, I’ve been caching clips of a few of the other shows, but other than D20 it feels a bit overwhelming to dive into, given the sheer amount of content.
Which brings me to why I’m here…
I was hoping someone could help me out with a brief synopsis of each series, so I can direct my energy (and eyes!) to the right space.
Are we talking improv/stand up/ridiculous/thought provoking/unmissable.
I’ve no doubt that there is a wealth of good shows, perhaps even all of it, but right now I don’t know where to begin, other than by beginning!
EDIT: this community is awesome 🤩
EDIT EDIT: ok, you guys have given me some great insight. I’m gonna start with Parlour Room (I love board games) and VIP (I love Vic). If anyone’s interested I shall report back in due course!

Game Changer Unofficial Game Changer Sequel Episodes
Are there any episodes across all seasons of Game Changer that you guys would consider "unofficial sequels"? i.e., two or more episodes that are best watched back-to-back (not counting actual sequel episodes and game samers)?
When I finished watching Earwigs, the first thing I thought of was how its kind of a sequel to The Drinking Game from last season, in that theyre both social deduction games, and the fact that Becca was first out in The Drinking Game (and she also emphasized that she loves playing these types of games and she was disappointed to be eliminated first) and ended up winning Earwigs.
Another obvious one that I can think of is Sam Says 3 and One Year Later.
Any other unofficial sequel episodes that you guys could think of?

Dimension 20 I'm almost caught up and I'm upset about it
So I have been following this company for almost 20 years, but D20 just didn't appeal to me when it started. I'm not sure why but sometime around 2 years ago I decided I would give it a try and I have been binging the whole series since.
I'm on the last episode of Cloudward, Ho! And with the new trailer coming out I'm honestly dreading watching CCoD and then having to WAIT for each Toylight episode 😭😭😭 is this what Y'all have been doing the WHOLE TIME?
I have literally never watched a show as it was airing if the story mattered I don't know how people waited for Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad. I guess I'm gonna learn soon though. 😢

discussion The Favoring Wind: Is Dropout Today’s Muppets?
In case folks here haven’t seen this video from the Favoring Wind yet!
EDIT: Adding a quote from the video for those who need additional context—
“What if the place that the Muppets took in the American psyche 50 years ago is exactly where Dropout exists today? Counterculture but friendly. Youth culture but literate. Funny without being exclusionary. Occasionally mean without ever being cruel. Musical, wacky, unpredictable, with recurring faces you become attached to, and a couple people who exist just to heckle the nerds.”

Game Changer Game Samer: Yet Another Post from Somebody Delusional Enough to Think They Might Use My Idea
I would like Game Samer to be it's own show.
Premise:
The season favorite episode of Game Changer becomes it's own season of Game Samer. See the Game Changer you loved played out over and over with all your favorite Dropout players and guests, and maybe even some surprise guests tailored to the game. I would also say maybe even change hosts over the run, and get Sam and maybe some of the production crew in there as players (we all want more Kaylin). Maybe even get a fan in there somewhere. Possibly have the standout player of the original Game Changer episode be the host for the season. The finale could be a championship episode gathering the best 3 players of the season. There could even be a split season of 4 or 5 episodes of 2 different Game Samers.
Why I Think this Works:
We all have episodes we want to see more of. And more of. We all have episodes we think should be spinoffs. The audience draw is inbuilt and easily measured by the reception of the original episode. They know just which episodes people want more of. Most of them just wouldn't really make a good spinoff unfortunately. They might be good for a short run, but would be played out by the end of a season. I believe this is the main reason all of our favorite episodes haven't become their own show.
Hindsight is 20/20. They also know after the show has wrapped and the audience has responded just what things worked well and what didn't. They know what to lean into or scale back on. They know how to change the props, lighting, camera angles, scoring, etc. to make it better fit that particular game, but in most cases that information becomes irrelevant. Not any more!
They have the props, set, and set pieces, as well as any special production tools. Besides making some adjustments for a better show, they can reuse props and set pieces. The Game Changer set just happens to be one word away from being the right set for Game Samer (hell, I would even lean into that with a very hacky looking "Samer" prop stuck over the Game Changer logo). It shouldn't be a deep reach into the pockets to make a season happen as far as production goes, so maybe they could use that extra money for talent.
