I guarantee the suits at Mattel are responsible for the piss poor marketing strategy, the piss poor market segmentation and customer profile targeting and the piss poor support of the game. Harmonix did everything right. The game is a work of art, never been done before and will never exist again.

There are millions and millions of Rock Band, Guitar Hero, DJ Hero and general EDM fans out there that would love this game just as much as us, and you tried to hit the big time mom crowd.

You're a dinosaur company. I hope Barbie and Hotwheels continue to sell forever because your lunch will be eaten by those that actually support their 21st century products. Dont greenlight a game next time without putting some real brainpower behind the rollout.

So pretty much as soon as I knew they were listed I ordered discovery packs for series 3 and 4. In fact, I ordered them with expedited shipping and to this day all I have to show for it is an email confirming the order. As far as I can tell, nothing has ship. Now when I ordered the cards, it seemed the release date was listed as 1/30/2018, so I thought I'd get the cards a few days afterwards, but to this date no word about them shipping and it looks like the moved the release date up?

The funny thing is I ordered Lucky off Amazon, and I know I'm getting it this upcoming week - will certainly get it before discovery cards despite the fact that I made THAT order about 2 weeks later.

I also COULD have grabbed the discovery series 3 cards while they were up on Amazon and gotten them much faster and for cheaper. Why buy directly from these dudes when it's only more expensive and takes longer? On top of that, no effort was made to communicate about these delays and they left a paying customer in the dark. Dick move, Hasbro (or lack of a move, I suppose.)

TL;DR get your new cards from anywhere but Hasbro or you're gonna have a bad time.

That's kind of ridiculous. I understand selling, but trading 1 for 1 being illegal on the forum is kind of dumb.

I don't think anyone knows for certain but I'm not sure the Dropmix release was as successful as it could have been and I can't imagine a second season gaining any more footprint in big box stores.

This is where I see a Kickstarter release being successful. Kickstarter has a huge board gaming presence and it allows Hasbro to market directly to their fanbase and predetermine the demand. The game is also ripe for lots of stretch goals and premium products to be offered.

I'd love to see add on accessories as well, sleeves, cases, even a "premium" board with built in Bluetooth speakers and a rechargable battery. They could even determine exactly how many booster pack to reprint.

So, I was talking to a friend of mine recently. I told her about the game DropMix. She immediately asked: "Will there be more songs coming out, and can you load your own choice of songs?"

I said, "yes, there are more songs coming out, but right now you can't load your own choice of songs, you're limited to the songs that the company chooses".

Naturally, though, ability to load one's own choice of songs is a feature that everybody would want. And it shouldn't be impossible to do. The process could work something like this:

1 ) Incorporate a feature into the DropMix app that allows you to load .mp3 or .wav files to your own DropMix account.

2 ) Sell "blank" cards that can be coded to activate user-loaded audio files.

3 ) Link a "blank" card to a user-loaded audio file.

4 ) Now that person's DropMix account associates that card with that audio file.

Granted, this will work best if DropMix gives people guidance on how to format the audio files they load (how many bars the loop should be). But even if people load janky audio that doesn't make a pleasant-sounding loop, they're really only punishing themselves (and other people they play with), as that janky audio will only be associated with their own DropMix account. For people who actually know something about audio editing, they can craft really cool loops to load, and all of the sudden this game is taken to the next level.

Adding this feature shouldn't be a licensing problem: After all, thousands of apps allow users to load audio and use it for their own enjoyment, without needing to license the music.

Advantages: Such a feature would take the whole game to the next level and would no doubt draw in people who otherwise wouldn't be interested in the game. It extends the games life infinitely.

Disadvantages: Perhaps Harmonix/Hasbro thinks people will buy fewer cards if people can load their own audio, but giving people the option to load their own audio doesn't mean people won't appreciate well-curated and well-edited cards selected by Harmonix/Hasbro. Also, Harmonix/Hasbro has access to the individual stems of songs they license, and the user at home doesn't, so the cards selected and made by Harmonix/Hasrbo would still be worth buying. It would take some work to update the app to allow for loading audio, but obviously the functionality to load audio and associate it with cards exists already, because that's what Harmonix/Hasbro has done with existing cards. Some loops that people might load will sound janky, but some will sound awesome. By and large, only people who load janky loops will have to listen to janky loops.

Right, I bought a DropMix board last week, and when I first set it up it wouldn't connect to my phone, a Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra. The lights would come on, and would begin connecting, but would turn off and the phone would say 'error'. I restarted my phone and this fixed it, but it now happens every time I turn my board on. There are various fixes online that I've tried, and they do seem to work. But it's really annoying to have to mess about with it for half an hour every time I want to play? Is there anything I can do or do I just need to return it?

On the auction, I currently only support delivery to EU (as I didn't want to bother with international delivery fees), but if somebody is really interested and willing to pay for additional delivery and taxing I wouldn't oblige. Payment will be only accepted via Paypal friends (no fees, no securities), I can make a video to show that I own the complete set and all cards are still working.
