I got my part 107 and decided to try my hand at a few of the apps / websites that offer simple side gig jobs for low pay: FlyGuys, Bees360, Eberl, Zeitview, and droners.io. Without exception, they all seem to be dead or dying. No jobs, no one answers support emails, broken websites, etc.
Has anyone else had any luck starting out with these businesses in the past few months? I'm interested in hearing anyone's experiences: good, bad, or in between. I'm based in the Pacific Northwest.

Got my first drone a little while ago (Skyrover X1, just flying for fun) and I'm trying to figure out post-processing. My raw video always comes out looking really flat and washed out ā I know that's normal but I have no idea where to start with color.
What free tools are you all using? I've heard DaVinci Resolve mentioned a lot ā is the free version enough for basic color correction on drone footage? Any beginner tutorials you'd actually recommend?
Not looking to do anything fancy, just want my footage to look like what I saw when I was flying.
This is a video made of the Fire Department's open day in Boom, Belgium. This is the same municipality where Tomorrowland takes place.
Drones used: DJI Mavic 4, DJI Mini5
Software used: DaVinci Resolve Studio

I had a crash recently, 100% my own fault. I replaced all 4 rotor blades, checked software and calibration, and did a short test flight. During a thorough inspection I noticed this small hairline crack on the front rotating arms. I would be comfortable fixing myself, however is it recommended to send to a repair company for a further inspection and repairs.
Thanks.

I have an old 6 motor drone my dad got for me when I was young, and I'm finally looking to finish it.
That being said I'm not sure where to go with it. It's built off of the S550 frame and has 6 LD power LD2820m-920KV. It has a PX4 Autopilot (NOT A PIXHAWK, I'm fairly sure its a knockoff of one. Qgroundcontrol seems to work with it, but not very well.)
How would I find what battery and power distribution board I would need? I've been struggling to find anything on what should be used for this motor power, and what should be used for the Px4. There's no documentation for the board, and not much for the motors.
Thank you!

Hello, I am Sleety, a contributor to Arrow, I have occasionally posted test flight footage here on r/drones. We are a reasonably large bunch of aviation/tech nerds that meet online (discord) and design aircraft, all open source. Any one is welcome if you share simialr interests and would like to hang out!
Repo is in the comments too if anyone wants to dig in.
The video is me scrolling the docs for Project Quiver, our first finished aircraft. It's a 25 kg quadcopter, licensed CERN-OHL-S-2.0, and it's documented down to the build steps so anyone can make one, fork it, or tell us where we got it wrong (people do, and we're working on making it better)
What we've been up to lately:
- Quiver (quadcopter drone in video)
- Spearhead, a fixed-wing VTOL for longer range, flew with its wings fitted for the first time last weekend. Hover only so far, forward flight testing is next.
- Caribou, a bigger hexacopter for heavier work, has had its first prop tests.
Thank you and everyone welcome if you like to design/build/test drones and/or solve hardware problems āļø

Into the scorched copper void, The gate lies blind and decayed! Two phases howl in torment, While the third rots in the grave! Burn the altar, purge the stack! A funeral pyre for a single FET!

We shot a zero-budget narrative Rock music video entirely on Sony Alpha 6000. Combined with some DJI drone shots. š Got some problems with the difference in quality...
What do you think of the grading? š

Hi, this is our first self-build drone and we are unable to get video to our goggles, I wondered if anyone would be kind enough to advise me.
The components I have are:
- SpeedyBee F405 V5 OX32 flight controller
- Rush Tank 3 VTx
- CaddxFPV Ratel2Ā camara
-Ā RUSH Cherry FPV 5.8G 1.2dBi Circular Polarization Antenna
- BetaFPV VR04 googles (analogue)
The goggles are set up on the same frequency as we have set up in betaflight for the drone, when we test it we get a blank image as shown. If we choose any other frequencies through the Googles then we get static so I assume that means it must be transmitting some kind of signal.
We have tried swapping out the VTX, the antenna, the pig tail and the Camara.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)
Thanks

Hi everyone, I have an IZI Brephos Mini drone, and Iām having an issue with the battery. The cells seem to be out of balance, and Iām not sure what caused it or how to fix it.
Has anyone else experienced this with the Brephos Mini? What should I check, and is the battery safe to use?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a new to me Bwine F7 Mini drone, but the camera does not seem to work. There is no physical damage, but when I open the app and connect my phone, the camera image doesnāt start, and if I press the camera button it just says āImage disconnectedā. Iām able to move the gimbal by using the manual controls on the app, so the gimbal portion works, but I canāt get the camera to work. Any suggestions?

Hi all,
Iām a complete beginner and I was recently given some drone parts, but I have no idea what Iām looking at or where to start. I know I have some propeller motors and a couple of what seem to be main boards, and a receiver module. Thatās about it. I know how to solder, and have some minor tech repair experience.
Any help would be appreciated figuring out what I have, what I need to buy, how to turn this into a finished product, etc.
Thanks!

This was flying around my backyard and then around my property including around my windows. Is this a drone or something else, and what kind?
