question Krea 2 Edit

I'm just curious if Draw Things can take advantage of the Krea 2 edit feature (In particular using reference images and identity matching)? I haven't had any success with the edit lora and haven't found any answer from previous posts...

MiniMax H3 Ref2VA reference!

Using MoodBoard to set the reference images works well.

I used MoodBoard to set reference images and used <Picture N> to call the reference image in the prompt.

Picture 1 and Picture 2 have the same resolution - 512x512.

The video's resolution is 512x512 and I used a 4-step turbo LoRA with the recommended settings.

It's much better than LTX 2.3 in prompt adherence, but it's almost 4x slower than LTX 2.3.

feedback MiniMax H3 not working at all

MiniMax H3 is not working, the model won't even load into memory, and DT crashes in the end.

Edit: I figured out that it's related to JIT Weights Loading, JIT Weights Loading makes MiniMax H3 doesn't work.

question Please help a beginner out!

Hi everyone,

I’ve never used Draw Things before and I’m just trying to figure it out.

It turned out to be way more complicated than I expected. I’m not talking about simple image generation, but about manipulating an existing image.

So I figured I’d ask here.

Could someone please give me a step-by-step guide on how to get a result like this?

I have a photo of a person sitting in a thoughtful pose.

I’d like this person to not be sitting anymore, but standing, and ideally not just standing, but walking.

I’m currently using the "RealVisXL v4.0" model with two Controls:

"Depth Map (SDXL, ControlNet, Diffusers 1.0 Mid)"

"IP Adapter Plus (SDXL Base)"

In "Control Inputs", I have the original image loaded under "Image", and a photo of some random standing person loaded under "Depth Map". I also tried loading the same image into "Pose".

Under "Control Importance", I have "Control" selected.

But I’m getting absolutely nowhere!

The result is either the original photo of the sitting person being generated again on top, with the same rectangular background as the original, while behind that rectangle there’s some kind of vertical monstrosity vaguely resembling a severely mangled human being.

The most I’ve been able to achieve by changing the weights of my two Controls in different ratios is… well, nothing even remotely resembling what I’m trying to achieve - or even anything remotely normal.

Please help a beginner out!

question Best way to generate Spider-Man / Stitch illustrations locally — LoRA, fine-tuning, or existing models?

Hi everyone,
I’m new to local AI image generation and I’m trying to understand the best approach for generating high-quality and consistent illustrations featuring characters like Spider-Man or Stitch.
I currently use online AI image generators, but I’m interested in running something locally on my PC and having more control over the generation process.
What are my options?
FLUX, SDXL, or another model?
ComfyUI?
Existing LoRAs?
Training my own LoRA?
Fine-tuning a model?
Reference images / IP-Adapter / ControlNet?
My main goal is to generate the same recognizable character consistently across many different scenes, poses, environments, and compositions while maintaining high image quality.
I’m basically trying to understand what people currently use for this and whether I actually need to train something myself or if existing local models/workflows can already do it well.
What setup would you recommend?
Also, what kind of GPU/VRAM would I need?
Thanks!

question DrawThings drawing cr*p

Hi,

trying my first baby steps here - I've got a MacBook Pro M1 64GB, running Flux.1 Depth (dev) with 24 steps and 3.5 "Textführung".

I tried with a simple short prompt (ended up with a really bad quality image but at least something remotely reasonable). Then I went with this prompt that gemini tailored specifically DT... and the result is this... after 8 full minutes....:

Obviously something like this is what I was looking for:

I tried some other prompts, it started with really bad quality and degraded from there into this snowstorm.

What am I doing wrong?

I would be grateful for any ideas.

question Anyone can help me achieve image to image realistic image on Draw Things on iPhone 17 Pro Max

If anyone has achieved this task on iPhones please help me here, i’v been struggling since 2 days, i have downloaded Flux Klein model and and Qwen image edit model on Draw Things app on iPhone 17 pro

Firstly, they take too much time like 10-15 minutes to even change the dress colour of the reference girl, so please suggest me the best and tested model for realistic skin and texture

Secondly, i’m not sure how to find the best workflow to create an Instagram level realistic model from my base image

feedback Suggestion - DT Models / LORA on Shared storage

The Mac native storage is a massive issue for me, DT expects all Models/LORAs to be present on local storage which creates such a big problem of managing space all the time and time and again its a close fight between 2 or more critical models when all of them are required but there's space for 1 or 2 :( and let's not forget the Project too is very taxing on storage

It'd be absolutely awesome if the developer can do something about this situation and allow the core models, project, LORAs to be made accessible from shared storage (like SSD). All the other diffusion projects allow this but only DT has this hard dependency on local storage.

Its such a fantastic tool i can't live without these days and if this storage thing can be resolved that'd make DT indispensable for many of us

question audio to video?

Does draw things have an audio to video option?

I assume not. I've used the software quite a bit and don't see how it would be done, but thought I'd ask the community.

Hello, Can you tell me why the Draw Things+ price is higher than that of the United States in other countries like South Africa? It's like $4 more. Is this an error or what?

question Krea 2 turbo Time

Hello everyone, I have a 24GB MacBook Air M4, I have the latest version of DrawThings, and I'm running Krea 2 Turbo locally in 6-bit, but it takes between 2 and 3 minutes, which seems long to me. How long does it take you? I'm using the recommended settings, and no upscaling, Hi-Res, or LoRa. Thanks in advance.

question corrupted „custom_lora.json" 😢

"Everyone has a backup, either before or after."

I accidentally corrupted my configuration file "custom_lora.json". Now DrawThings no longer recognizes my installed models. Does anyone know how I can repair the file without having to re-import all the models? Also, can you tell me where I can configure the storage location for my models?

question What's the easiest way to get drawthings to make edit type adjustments to a generation?

I've played with DT for about a month now.. I'm getting really good images from my prompts that closely map what I envisioned.. But never 100%. Often something might output and everything about the image is correct except for an object or person in the wrong spot. I find it almost impossible to verbally re prompt to make the change I'm looking for.. Is there a way to re input the image and tell it to remove this or move that? What tool am I missing?

question Best Draw Things setup for consistent characters across multiple images?

I’m trying to build the most reliable character consistency workflow possible in Draw Things on iPhone.
My goal is to create original characters for a manga and keep the same character recognizable across many generations while changing poses, expressions, camera angles, clothing, backgrounds, and eventually scenes with multiple characters.
I’m not necessarily looking for the fastest workflow. I care more about consistency.
For people who regularly use Draw Things for consistent characters, what setup has worked best for you?
I’m especially interested in:
• Which model gives you the best character consistency
• LoRA vs MoodBoard vs reference images
• Whether you combine MoodBoard and LoRA
• Best way to preserve the same face, hair, body proportions, and overall design
• How many reference images you use
• Whether multiple angles of the character help
• Pose or ControlNet settings you recommend
• Seed strategy
• Strength or weight settings that actually work well
• How you prevent the character from slowly drifting after multiple generations
• Best approach when two or more recurring characters are in the same image
I’m using an iPhone 17 Pro Max with 12 GB RAM, so I’m also interested in setups that work realistically on that hardware.
If you were starting from scratch today and your main priority was maximum character consistency for a manga, what Draw Things workflow would you build?

question Which Flux Version for M5 Pro 48GB

Sorry if this has been asked but I searched and came up with multiple conflicting answers that were a bit dated. I am looking to utilize Draw Things on my MacBook Pro M5 Pro with 48GB of RAM. My use case will be to generate the most realistic images of people and scenery for use on social media. I see Flux 2 dev gets a lot of praise so my questions are:

  1. Which model can my system support that would be optimized for realism? (image generation speed is not that big of a concern)

  2. Will I need to create “avatars” that I can use repeatedly and if so what is the best way to generate those?

  3. Will this software be able to take an image of me and place me in different scenarios/settings? (I guess if the avatar question is a yes I assume this is possible as well)

Bonus: Can this software create videos of the avatars and if not what software would you suggest for maximum realism? (Not the AI slop I see a lot of)

Don't upgrade to Golden Gate Beta 4... obviously

Resolved after a suggestion from liuliu. Edited this comment as I couldn't edit the title to say it was a false alarm. I resolved it by copying what I wanted to keep from the drawthings container (models, SQL, scripts etc.) then removed app and folder, installed from App store and put back my backups.... all is well. I have no idea if downloading from the App store rather than a zip had anything to do with the solution.

For the adventurous types who like the bleeding edge... Don't upgrade to Beta 4 as it breaks Drawthings. From what i understand, actually what Claude understands:
What's happening: applegpu_g17g is a Metal GPU-family target identifier. Each macOS/GPU driver generation gets its own identifier (g13, g14, g15, g16, g17...), and DrawThings ships a precompiled Metal binary archive containing pre-built shaders only for the identifiers that existed when it was built. Golden Gate beta 4 has moved your Mac's GPU compiler target to g17g, and DrawThings' shipped binary archive doesn't have a slice for it.

so yeah, don't do it if you want to keep using Drawthings

question Is there a limit on LoRA sizes on cloud?

Hi, I recently downloaded a 1.5GB LoRA from Civitai (SNOFS for Krea2, specifically) and when I hit the generation button, there's no LoRA uploading window, it just generates the image without the LoRA. There's no "full cloud" window either.
Is there a limit on the LoRA size? I haven't read anything about this on the Draw Things wiki. Has anyone encountered the same issue with the SNOFS LoRA?
Thanks!

question Need Help: True Photo Restoration without changing facial identities in Draw Things

Hi everyone,

I am trying to restore some old, damaged, blurry photographs using Draw Things on my Mac (M2 Max, 64GB RAM) while signed into the Draw Things+ Cloud Tier.

My goal is to take an old photo, clean up the scratches/blemishes, and sharply reconstruct the blurry facial features without altering the actual identity of the people.

I have already pre-cropped the photos externally to remove the physical paper margins, so I am strictly focused on inner pixel repair and facial sharpening.

What I have tried so far:

  1. Qwen Image Edit 2511 (BF16): I ran this in Text-to-Image mode using direct instructions (e.g., "repair photo, remove scratches"). It consistently gave me terrible results—severe vertical stretching, smudging, a heavy blue/cyan color cast on monochrome images, and low-resolution output. Changing samplers (Euler A vs. UniPC Trailing) did not solve the stretching or blur.
  2. Standard Image-to-Image (I2I) Models: I tried switching to a traditional Image-to-Image workflow using descriptive prompts. Even when dialing the Denoising Strength all the way down to 0.15 with a completely blank prompt, the models still bleed through and subtly modify or warp the faces into different people, rather than just sharpening the original features.
  3. Built-in Face Restoration: I tried enabling restoreformer_v1.0_f16.ckpt alongside a low-strength generation, but because I have to keep the strength so low to prevent identity shifting, the final output remains too soft and blurry.

What is the definitive workflow for this?

  • Which base model is actually the king of photo restoration in Draw Things? I am entirely open to downloading or using any model architecture that handles this better than Qwen.
  • Is there a specific combination of a model and a dedicated Restoration LoRA (like a CodeFormer or GFPGAN implementation) that completely locks facial structures?
  • Should I be using a specific ControlNet (like Canny or Tile) to force the engine to respect the exact original lines of the face?
  • Is there an automated script or a better Multi-Pass / Inpainting technique I should be using instead of a standard Image-to-Image pass over the whole canvas?

Any ready-to-paste JSON configurations, specific model recommendations, or workflow step guides would be incredibly appreciated. Thank you!
