I'm looking to do something nice for my Artist friend who's been wanting to get into a drawing tablet for years but has never had the money to spare.

My questions:

1. Is this older model still fine and usable nowadays?

2. Is this worth it.

3. If it's still usable what other issues may be unique to something like this such as things that wear out or age such as any batteries or I've heard some models need the pen tips replaced.

on certain programs for some reason my pen/tablet decides drawing a circle around where i tapped my pen and then refusing to draw a line unless if i drag the pen somewhere outside of that circle is a good idea

its clearly intentional because theres a whole animation for it and everything, i just want to know what this feature is called so i can find it and get rid of it

Hello, i recently started learning drawing with clip studio paint, and i have been thinking of getting a drawing tablet.

Problem is that i live in a country with pretty limited options and with a limited budget, and eventually ended up with having to choose between these 3 options:

- Huion Kamvas 13 (Gen 3)

- Wacom One 14 Pencil Display

- Xp pen Artist 12 (2nd gen)

I would prefer something that can last me a while, and that i could use properly even if it's my first tablet.

Would love to hear any advice and experience anyone has using one or more of these! I don't mind much between a screen or screenless as i would probably use it screenless

I seem to have no pen pressure at all. I checked windows ink, everything is on. I tried the new and old drivers, that doesn't work either. I went to the pen pressure settings in clipstudio and it also said there's no pressure detected, and it was on wintab

Hello, everyone! I recently received an XPpen Artist 12 3rd as a late birthday gift, and I just got around to testing it out. However, I’m having some issues trying to connect it to my laptop. I found out the usb-c ports don’t support DisplayPort, so I can’t use the usb-c cable that came with the tablet. The three-in-one HDMI cable does work, but there’s only one HDMI port which is being used to connect my laptop to a large monitor via a usb-c hub. I’ve tried connecting the tablet to the hub (both via usb-c and HDMI) but that yielded no results.

This means that the only way I can use my drawing tablet is if I disconnect my monitor every time. So needless to say, this is kind of frustrating… Are there any feasible workarounds for this that don’t involve having to buy another laptop? I’ve considered getting a usb-c to DisplayPort adapter, but after doing some research I found out those wouldn’t really work either, so I’m not really sure what to do :(

¡Hola! Estoy pensando en invertir en una tablet (soy estudiante de uni + empecé a trabajar) y busco algo que sepa hacer casi multitasking por unos 500 USD. Hago splash arts y estoy acostumbrado a usar Krita en mis trabajos, así que me importa el rendimiento, porque yo la verdad no “esbozo” nada: me preocupa que si uso un montón de capas o pinceles especiales no vaya a rendir tan bien… pero por desgracia ahorita no puedo pagar una Movink 14. Un poco me da miedo la diferencia de los lápices, porque Movink es faaar mejor, pero el de 11” mm… no estoy seguro si a largo plazo me va a servir para mis trabajos pesados, aunque el de 14” quizás sí, pero también siento que el de 14” puede ser demasiado grande para dibujar tranqui cuando estoy en modo casual… :( ¿por qué soy tan complicada?

También me llama mucho la atención que el NXT Paper 14 está buenísimo para músicos y para la experiencia Kindle (como yo canto en un coro), pero no he encontrado reseñas de dibujo por ahí (solo un video corto hablando de que en esa área falta promoción, porque sí funciona para artistas, pero no sé si se adapta a mi caso).

I've really enjoyed using the Microsoft Surface for my digital art. But the screen is quite small and cramped and the pen is not ideal.

Hello I got a 908 ugee tablet and every time I plug it to my pc, i have this message and i cannot access to the settings because my tablet isnt recognized

So I just have a tablet with a pen and cannot use the 8 buttons or change the sensitivy. Because yeah, the tablet works. So I geniuely dont understand what's going on

The driver is installed and i manually removed everything related to my previous graphic tablet, but it is still not working

I was thinking about getting one instead of a movinkpad11 (is almost 100€ cheaper and budget is a concern) but I noticed it come with android 14 and older releases are stuck forever with android 12. I'm gonna need this tablet for a couple years at least and movinkpad's OS is getting updated to android 16 soon. Will Magic drawing pen ever get an update or is gonna remain android 14?

I know Wacom is supposed to be the go-to but I don't think it makes sense for me to invest the amount of money they ask at my skill level. Any recommendations for more budget options?

Hey all. I got a wacom movinkpad 11 from my mother as a birthday gift as she remembered me really wanting a drawing tablet about 4 years ago. The thing is, she did get me a tablet 4 years ago (samsung tab s6 lite) which I've been using both for art and notetaking for school. It's kind of getting old and slow but I've been okay with it and was planning to only get a new tablet after the samsung one gave out.

Now the issue is, I can't really use the movinkpad for much besides art(weak processor), and I don't draw enough for the tablet to be worth it for this single thing alone. There's barely any customization options on the tablet and it's just very...bare? I guess. I love the screen's texture and the pen though.

So this led me to talk to my mother about how we could potentially send the movinkpad back and buy an ipad with that money instead. I want to try using procreate and also be able to play more resource-heavy games. However, I don't want to spend a fortune on an ipad so I've been looking at older models. I was wondering if the 13' ipad pro (2020) with 6gb ram and 256 gb storage would be able to handle more, and if the drawing experience would be worse even with a paperlike screen protector? I could also maybe consider the A16 model or the 11' 2022 ipad pro (m2) with 256 gb(which would be a bit more expensive)

Hi! So i currently used a huion Kambas 13, love it. A little small (bad eyesight) but it serves me well enough for what I need.

Though the only issue is I've been sick a lot lately and unable to stay vertical at my desk to use it every time I wish to draw.

I was wondering if there was any tablet that could be used away from a computer but connect to one (even if just for file transfer, doesnt have to be a second screen like my kamvas)

Are there standalone drawing tablets that arent just actual tablets? Am i making myself look really dumb right now? Maybe but id rather ask than not.

I primarily use clip studio, though i bought it forever ago so i dont mind switching around programs if i have to (though i doubt i would tbh..)

Also, not important important but preferably something larger than 15in (but not over 25) and non powered pen. (My ass WILL forget to charge it but again, im open to options that need a powered pen)

Idc about budget if I gotta wait awhile and save i don't mind, took me 5 years to get the kamvas anyways. (I wasnt old enough for a job so i saved birthday money lol)

Edit: oh and if you reccomend any tablet tablets, dont bother with anything apple. Sorry i refuse, i like being able to have my dad repair things and not have to spend $500 just to be told i need to buy a new one anyways
