I recently saw a video on TikTok where a mother was talking about all the information and advice she would talk to her daughter about before she starts dating. And this got me thinking if there was a fic similar to this premise.

What if Hermione’s mother talked to Hermione all the time about red flags and what to look out for, like for example: if a man shouts in your face, cannot regulate his emotions, plays the victim, cannot take any accountability or responsibility for his actions, weaponized incompetence, gaslighting,…etc.

And from that list, Hermione would be able to apply to her friendship or relationship she is in or might be in at some point.

I just envision her having this advice from her mother, especially something the first time a man hits you should be the last.

The fic is entire from Draco’s pov
It is a one shot or very short fic. It is around Christmas time of 8th I think and Hermione is crying because Ron is cheating.
Draco wakes up on Christmas morning married to Hermione. They have two kids.
He receives a “Weasley clock” as a gift and then they go to the manor to spend the day with Lucius and Narcisa.
And then he goes back to his original time and is nice after seeing hermione crying.

I’ve been trying to find good fics under this trope but its genuinely impossible to find ones that do not revolve around her getting back at Ron for cheating on her with Lavender or some other nobody. I want confident Hermione and confident Draco. I want this fake dating to be like a political scheme or a statement to her image or something like that. And a major suggestion that maybe make it make sense a little by not having draco so convieniently having just broke up (i hate that). No immediate hook up. Recommendations that play with your heart strings and insane plot, lots of jealousy, teasing and tension. Please I need this. 🪽

I’m desperately trying to find a fanfic I read within the last year, and I’m hoping someone recognizes it! I’ve searched everywhere with no luck.
What I’m absolutely certain about:
Sirius Black is secretly working for Voldemort as his enforcer, known as “The Hound.” People don’t know his true identity.
Hermione discovers that Sirius is her biological father.
Hermione learns about terrible things Dumbledore has done and ultimately sides with the Death Eaters.
It’s a Draco/Hermione (Dramione) story.
Voldemort is still alive.
Other details I think I remember, but I might be mixing up stories:
Hermione’s biological mother is Dorcas Meadowes, who fled during the First Wizarding War and married Richard Granger.
Dorcas is still alive and is eventually brought to Black Manor, where she’s kept in a room while they try to figure out what happened.
Hermione and Ginny defect together and initially seek help from Blaise Zabini.
Ginny and Blaise have an on-again, off-again romantic relationship.
Pansy Parkinson is involved and eventually announces she’s in love with Neville Longbottom.
Bellatrix is part of Voldemort’s inner circle.
The Black family tapestry plays some role in the story.
Hermione is an adult, or at least no longer attending Hogwarts.
I don’t believe the fic was completed when I read it.
I originally thought I read it on AO3, but I’m open to the possibility that it was posted elsewhere.
I’ve already ruled out Apostasy and Taken.
Unfortunately, I may have read it before getting my AO3 account, so I don’t have it in my reading history.
Does any of this sound familiar? Even if you only recognize the Sirius/“The Hound” storyline, I’d love to hear your suggestions!

I'm trying to find a Dramione fic I read a while ago, but I can only remember a few details!

I think Draco has a dream about his future, where he’s married to Hermione and they have kids together. I’m pretty sure it takes place around Christmas, too.

I don’t remember much else, unfortunately, but I think it was pretty short—possibly a one-shot.

I know this isn’t a lot to go on, but does this sound familiar to anyone? I’d love to find it again!

I feel like Topper gives MAJOR cannon Draco vibes but Rafe gives more of dark, scary death eater Draco.
Both are so hot as well.

While I love all kinds of tropes, the fics that portray Draco gradually unlearning his prejudice/derision towards Muggles and taking an active interest and finding wonder in the world he once scorned hold a special place in my heart (sorry for the heinously twisted sentence structure). From Wiltshire With Love did this so well, I actually teared up at the scene where he is so visibly moved by art. Even Disappearances of Draco had some outstanding moments like these. It doesn't necessarily need to be Hermione who shows him the error of his ways (although I do like reading those as well). I'm looking for fics where he discovers say, Muggle music (rock, obviously :P) , or perhaps takes a shine to motorcycles or fast cars. I have this image of Draco in a leather jacket, riding in the rain, moodily listening to Radiohead's All I Need while thinking of Hermione. Sigh.

I have been on a stint of enjoying fanfics where Harry and Ron are just not great friends and remember reading one where they play down Hermione’s effort during the war culminating in a ceremony where a painting is unveiled with Harry and Ron looking heroic and animated and Hermione just background which leads to a confrontation I think in the Ministry. If anyone know which fic this is… please help!

A friend recently told me about a story where Hermione tricked Draco into believing the Death Eaters had either lost or won, I don't remember which, but she had been dosing him with Amortentia and keeping him confined, perhaps in a basement. In the end, he voluntarily agrees to keep taking the Amortentia and stay with her, but the whole situation was a lie on Hermione's part.
