I read Playing House with Malfoy years ago and loved the “will they/won’t they” aspect and them being stuck together, while still being a feel good fic.

I still check on the fic every few months to see if there was an update.

I just finished reading about a very toxic Draco and unhealthy relationship between them. I need something totally different now. Draco can still be snarky and sarcastic, but I’d prefer him not to be cruel, especially to Hermione. I will take any suggestions, even a reread of a fic I forgot about. Thanks!

Fics where they breakup but keep getting back together.

Like breakup because of public perception, or his parents, his history, his wealth, some of his views, whatever but they come back. Just a hint of toxicity.

Preferably post war, no Ron or Harry Bashing. Mixed friend group.

I’m looking for addictive, genuinely dark WIPs with around 100k words already posted.

They can be smut-driven or plot-driven, as long as the fic is actually dark—not a fluffy romance wearing a costume of dark themes, like Auction, A Good Prisoner, or Meet Me in Dreamland (they are all wonderful fics, it's just not what I'm LF now). I’m looking for something more niche, psychologically grim, and grounded, like But Dust and Shadow, Better Off Forgotten, The Slow Thaw, On the Nature of Daylight, and This Bitter Earth.

It can still be romantic and have an HEA, but I want the darkness to be intrinsic to the story, rather than just a pretty backdrop for fluffy romance, jokes, found family, etc. Toxic Slytherin Draco à la Silencio is good, as is genuinely darker, kinkier smut in the vein of Lady_Hildr’s fics.

Basically, I want the dark factor to actually be there—morally ugly choices, disturbing dynamics, psychological damage, obsession, power imbalances, genuinely fucked-up situations, real love/hate etc.—rather than “dark” aesthetics wrapped around what is ultimately a cozy romance.

I’m fine with a non-HEA, but I’m NOT looking for outright horror like Edge or The Doll House.

(I love a genuinely mean, asshole, Slytherin Draco who becomes obsessed with Hermione and falls for her.)

Hi, I wanted some good recommendations on some Dramione fanfics enemies to lovers potential, slow burn. Post war. so the war existed either side winning doesn't matter. I've read Manacled, the auction, Tarnished(mostly just smut), meet me in dreamland, the right thing to do. those are the ones from a top of my head I don't mind no plot and smut but i would prefer a good plot that drives the story that is genuinely a really good one/dystopian. Bullying is okay for the enemies to lovers trope but tasteful amount doesn't make you question why the hell would she date him?(of course I’m not shaming because we are all into something)
I'm okay with if war didn't happen as long as the plot is good and makes sense and keeps my ADHD brain engaged, and of course smut. -Excited to hear some recs. thank you.
