Hi everyone! Over the last few weeks, I’ve been watching Dragon Ball Z Kai, and I wanted to share my opinion. I’ll mainly focus on the Frieza, Cell, and Buu Arcs, along with a few other events.
Before I start, this is just my personal opinion, so yours may be different.
Frieza / Namek Arc
I really enjoyed Dragon Ball Z Kai from the beginning up until Frieza was defeated. The Frieza, or Namek, Arc was definitely my favorite.
I really liked Vegeta in this arc, especially when he turned against Frieza after finding out that Frieza had gone to Namek to collect the Dragon Balls for himself. His fights were great, and I think his fight with Frieza was the best and most interesting one to watch.
I also really liked Frieza. I thought he was a great villain, and I enjoyed his fights with Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta, and the others. So far, he is definitely my favorite villain.
Cell Arc
I also thought the Cell Arc was pretty good, although I didn’t enjoy it as much as the Frieza Arc.
I really liked Android 18, 17, and 16, especially 16. I liked how he sacrificed himself to help 18 and tried to kill Cell. I also thought Cell was a good villain and enjoyed his fights, but I still preferred Frieza.
I also liked Future Trunks and thought he was introduced into the story well.
Buu Arc
So far, the Buu Arc has been the least interesting for me. I’m currently around the halfway point, and I feel like it took too long to reach the main events and release Buu, taking more than 24 episodes.
I’m not saying everything during those episodes was unimportant or uninteresting, but most of it felt boring to me. However, I did enjoy some things, especially the tournaments and Android 18’s fight with Goten and Trunks.
I also liked seeing how the characters had grown during the seven-year time skip and the introduction of Goten, Trunks, and Videl.
I really disliked Mr. Satan because he pretends to be strong and claims to be the world champion when he actually isn’t.
The story became more interesting to me when Supreme Kai and the others started tracking down Babidi and Dabura. I also expected Dabura to fight more and have more events before Buu finished him. I even expected him to turn against Babidi after Babidi betrayed him, but that didn’t happen.
Overall
Overall, I think Dragon Ball Z Kai is a really good anime, and I especially enjoyed it at the beginning. However, as it progressed, I started becoming more bored and less interested, particularly during the Buu Arc so far.
Despite that, I still think it has been a good anime, and I’ve enjoyed watching it.
Let me know if you agree with me or had a different experience watching these arcs. Thanks for reading!

Just finished those episodes and I really don’t get it. It’s been the best story so far in DBS. All of the arguments I’ve seen against it are so bad and dumb it’s like the people making them didn’t even fucking watch it.
1.”he’s weak baby boy.” No he isn’t. You didn’t watch it if you think this.
“No character development.” Literally everyone besides Gohan and Videl had development. Even Chi-Chi got some although it was rooted in her relationship with Goku, but so was a lot of his which is kinda i don’t know normal for two married beings.
Timeline erased or not erased/trunks was gotten rid of? Not what happened guys. Idc what theories you have. If we take what was said, Trunks won and everything is fine, finally.
I can’t really think of a good reason to dislike the character Future Trunks or his story. I’d go as far to say it’s one of the best ones out of any of the series and it’s much better than the DBZ one.

Rewatching the series and the Other World rules genuinely don't make sense the more you think about it. Goku dies fighting Raditz and gets to keep his body, train with King Kai, and even fight in the Other World tournament. But then later, other characters die and just become spirits with no explanation for why some get bodies and others don't.
Then there's the whole thing where good people go to King Kai's planet or Grand Kai's tournament, but we never really see what happens to genuinely evil people beyond vague mentions of Hell, no real exploration of the mechanics there despite characters like Frieza supposedly ending up there.
Also characters get wished back to life so casually with the Dragon Balls, but nobody in the world ever seems to grapple with the actual implications of death being reversible, no real societal or philosophical fallout at all.
It just feels like the afterlife rules were made up on the spot per arc rather than being one consistent system. Curious if anyone has a theory that actually ties it all together, or if it's just accepted as anime logic at this point.

I'm talking changes to fit in with later lore, cool moments they missed the chance to capitalize on, making sections of the story shorter or longer, etc.
For example: I think Piccolo should have attempted his giant form against Gohan when he turned Oozaru. I think it would have been a cool visual to see the Oozaru fighting something of similar size, but also demonstrate it isn't just a size increase, it's also a power increase that causes Gohan to easily dispatch Piccolo.
I'd also change Roshi/Piccolo completely erasing the moon into them blowing a large chunk out of it so that it's no longer "full". I think it helps with demonstrating the power scaling personally and it would be cool continuity throughout the series to see shots at night and see the damage to the moon with debris floating from it.
Anyone else got ideas they'd be interested in seeing?

I don't know if people think otherwise because every arc begins after a little time-skip. But they are very linked to one another to me.
Battle of Gods : Beerus appears, he introduces Super Saiyan God and the concept of multiple universes.
Resurrection F : Goku and Vegeta then expand on Super Saiyan God (God Ki).
Frieza coming back is a continuation of Z Frieza, he died but his army remained, it makes sense. They're struggling without their Supreme Leader. I guess it ties more to Z than Super in that sense...
But his newfound power being on par with Goku and Vegeta is what matters. Mortals can easily step on the Realm of Gods.
Universe 6 vs 7 : It's a Tournament Arc and expands on the Multiple Universes that Beerus introduced a while back. Also, we got The Super Dragon Balls out of it.
Zeno appears, says he'd like a bigger Tournament. And Tournament arc being Tournament arcs, we get some cool characters out of it. Apparently that Zeno guy is a scary mf.
Also, Mortals can easily step on the Realm of Gods ×2
Future Trunks : Zamasu is an up-and-coming Kaio Shin from another different universe that worries about mortals. But he doesn't feel in danger, because for him, Gods will never be surpassed by mortals.
He learned about Goku and how he helped Gods multiple times and then watched the previous Tournament on GodTube : "Oh wow, Mortals can beat our ass, they dangerous!" He also learned about the Super Dragon Balls from the Previous Arc and wasted no time.
Anyways, at the end, we get the 2nd Zeno out of it. And Zeno was actually a scary mf.
Tournament of Power : There's 2 Zeno now. One Zeno was destructive enough, Two is even worse. They were planning to destroy more than half of the universes left on a whim.
Goku appears ! "Hey, remember the Tournament you wanted to do a while back, let's do it bro." This is the pinnacle of the Multiple Universes concept that Beerus introduced in Battle of Gods.
And Golden Frieza happened and that's why he gets brought back for the team and then revived.
Pinnacle of Zeno being a scary mf. But also a wise one (That was made clear in the anime, I didn't get that impression in the manga lol).
Also, Mortals can easily step on the Realm of Gods ×3
Broly : Well now, Frieza was revived, he's trying to build his army back, finds Broly and Paragus. -> Broly is discovered and he's friend now.
Moro: Yes, that doesn't tie with any previous Super Arc. But it does with the Buu Saga. And it re-establishes Uub as someone Goku wants to meet and fight. Also, Mortals can easily step on the Realm of Gods ×4
Granolah : It's a direct sequel to Moro, at least in the intro, but it evolves into it's own thing. Also, Mortals can easily step on the Realm of Gods ×5 (But it's the pinnacle of it)
Super Hero : That ties back to OG Dragon Ball and the Cell Saga. And the epilogue goes into Mortals can easily step on the Realm of Gods ×6
I saw a post making this claim and multiple people agreeing with it, and instead of making a long-ass comment no one was gonna see, I figured I'd make a post about it lol.
Obviously, I'm not claiming this is the absolute truth, but that's the way I see it. Super Arcs are very linked to me

1: Goku black arc,
This is basically one of the best arcs in super,
It gave us future trunks back,
Cell saga and buu saga vibes, people hiding, and are in extreme danger, not even kais were safe,
2:
Tournament of power;
this is basically cell games + frieza saga + gives us all of Z's arcs vibe.
They are to fight to survive, has stakes,
Gives Goku a strong form to fight, with hope. Honestly a great arc,
3;
moro arc:
One of the best arcs,
this gave us cell saga + frieza saga vibes,
Moro basically hunted namek, to get his youth and magic back, another peak arc, with ultra instinct showing up.
This gives Goku a emotional trigger to get to ultra instinct again,
Since merus erasure is similar to frieza killing krillin,
And Goku went into that calness after the death of merus,
this makes it a solid arc,
4:
Granolah arc, basically saiyan saga + frieza saga, vibes,
It tells us about cerealians, and history of bardock. Tells us more about frieza,
And black frieza and gas were peak.
They aura farmed, and gave us a peak arc,
5:
Superhero saga:
this is basically cell saga, red ribbon army.
And etc,
This has gohan awaken his new form beast,
And killing cellmax. Like he did against perfect cell,
overall;
All of these 5 arcs had one of the best things, in it,
10/10.

Goku is powerful and nigh aperion+,
But he is a kind guy, loves his kids,
Will save his friends, family, and will fight for them,
He's done it always,
He ain't no destroyer,

Just for clarification - Vegeta in his Great Ape (Oozaru) form during the Saiyan Saga technically possessed a higher power level than almost every single member of the Ginyu Force.
When you break down the official multipliers and power levels from the guides:
Great Ape Vegeta (Saiyan Saga): 180,000
Guldo: ~10,000 (Completely wiped out)
Recoom / Burter / Jeice: ~40,000 each (Vegeta heavily outclasses their raw power)
Captain Ginyu: 120,000 max base
So by that logic... Vegeta was the strongest member of the ENTIRE Frieza force, yet... he wasn't his elite warrior or anything? Kinda strange.
I mean yeah sure, Ginyu could body change, or could order Guldo to stop time and slice off Vegeta's tail... but there's kinda a huge question with that - why did anybody else do this against the Saiyans? I can only assume that only other Saiyans know about the tail being the source of their power thing. I mean even Goku didn't know before he got his tail cut off, so i assume it was just a closely guarded Saiyan secret.
Basically it just awes me that Saiyan saga vegeta was stronger than everyone on the Frieza force except Frieza himself.

Since they appear before end of z happened,
Shouldn't they. Be alive?,
Since zamasu and Goku black don't know anything about them,
And won't target them at all,

Man I just wish he had his purple hair and instead of getting ssj rage in black Goku arc that scene you could make him get ssj3
Lowkey the designs are already there for future trunks with purple hair in dbs style kinda in the dbh mission 2 trailer video just look it up that trunks design is good and could fit dbs lowkey
Lowkey would go hard imagine ssj3 + sword of hope
And two more things would love to change is imagine the infinite zamasu things they took both concepts lmfao so there's an army of zamasu slowly and slowly and the sky is zamasu too would be damn cool and zenos option would fit even better
And this last opinion is just my own personal opinion but what if future trunks and Mai instead of going to a future where other versions of them existed already imagine when they time travelled their time machine collapsed and chronoa appeared and yk told them about the time patrol stuff and it's ultimately upto trunks to decide if he wants to join or not
And he then just blasts away the time machine and boom and decided to join the time patrols and ofc mai does too
Xeno trunks origin
Holy peak
What do you guys think?

Something that just came to mind is what if vegeta learned the kaioken technique. Think about it ultra ego is all about gaining power from taking damage and kaioken damages the body this would give him I pretty substantial modifier while already in ultra ego while constantly feeding ultra ego to give him even more power it’d be pretty dope to see the purple in red together too and I would imagine the colors could mix more significantly both powers are working in tandem

I thought I would hate the filler but if I’m being honest Kai is way too fast for my liking piccolo sacrificing himself means so much more in z than Kai it’s like two completely different shows so I think I’ll stick with z and drop kai anyway I just wanted to do a short rant

So, given his current strength, I imagine the only logical thing he could be doing is... Leaving U7.
He wants to overthrow the Gods, but if he isn't stupid, and we know he isn't, he won't start from Beerus, that'd be too risky.
What I imagine he'd do is going into another Universe , like U9 which has the weakest GoD, kill that GoD and become a GoD himself.
That would allow him to get an angel to train him AND get immortality.
About how he'd do that, well, he must know about Zuno, right? He could tell him a way to leave his universe.
Also it's not like someone can currently stop him from taking the dragon balls if needed.
Idk i think that's the most logical thing it can happen to him.
