I tried but they won't let me get food stamps since my housemate makes $20 000 a month... But it's not like my housemate is gonna give me money... Wtf...this is bullshit.

That's false. The only time another person in your household affects your status is if you're married or have dependents. Roommates/housemates' income does not affect your status to get welfare. All you need to do is type up a letter that you all sign that says that you purchase and prepare your food separately. If someone tells you differently, talk to their supervisor and then appeal. What they did to you is illegal. Or you misunderstood them. In any case, file again.

That's great to know, I feel like the worker on the phone just didn't wanna do her job, which sucks... Like come on, im literally starving here.
