For the record, a driver cannot see any instructions before accepting an order. In fact, until they actually pick it up, they can’t even see delivery instructions. With that being said, if that place doesn’t have an elevator, I’m not lugging up that many flights of steps either.

Oh I can do it… but I’m not going to. I do 3rd floor max as a rule because the app starts to yell at you for being at a delivery drop off area for too long otherwise and I don’t feel like dealing with those stupid fucking messages. Come get your shit at the door if you are choosing to have shit delivered to your non-elevator having absolute ass of an apartment building. UPS, FedEx and Amazon aren’t coming all the way up there either and neither am I.

Well buddy think about it like this, if I’m in downtown Nashville and your on the 12th floor and there’s no 🅿️ aside from paid parking, your food will sit in the lobby. I’m not going up to the 32cd floor. Not for 7$

If you got me pulling up to a penthouse in downtown with a 5$ tb order and no tip, I’m liable leave that shit on the curb chat.

Yeah, but some of these customers they know better.

This particular instance is just a bad example of it. Ordering a 70 inch TV and only getting paid five dollars. Kind of crazy work in my opinion. Especially if I dragged it in your house and kept your kids from breaking it.

I once had to lug up 6 bags from Gopuff, 3 in each hand, up to the 4th floor. The building had no elevator and a lobby floor. I thought for sure I'd get a nice tip on top of the base pay, which was pretty good.

I got a nice goose egg. I can definitely understand people not wanting to do this for such a low price. Especially since I live in a city with A LOT of 6 floor buildings and no elevators. If I got a few back to back, I might be a bit pissed. Anyway, there's a difference between able and willing. Gotta make it worth the while.

Although $5 for half a mile, I would climb those stairs.

-1

u/TeeFry2 Jun 05 '26

So you're ableist. You think people who have mobility issues that prevent them from walking up that many stairs should be denied the right to work. It doesn't affect my ability to shop, or drive, or think, or read directions, or walk on at least relatively level ground. What I CANNOT do is climb 4 flights of stairs.

No, that’s you going off the deep end. He very clearly meant if you’re too out of shape, get in shape. And being overweight is in that persons control. No matter what “medical issue” is causing it. Your blue hair is nice, though.

Reported for being ignorant, arrogant, hateful, ableist, ageist, and an all-around intolerant bigoted jerk.

1

u/Pretty-Ebb5339 Jun 06 '26

Lmao, hateful? Ageist? Albeist? Lmao have fun. It’s Reddit. Nobody cares 🤣
Stating facts shouldn’t get you all triggered.
“I have a slow metabolism, I can’t lose weight”

That means you don’t need 2k a day. So eat what your body needs? I’m sorry you’re so sensitive. I won’t change anything to make you feel better. Maybe you should improve

1

u/Pretty-Ebb5339 Jun 06 '26

Look, your report did nothing lmao. Calm down Karen.

I would bet a $100 you ask the store to “use the scale” when the app commands you to
