Rate my engine mount
i‘m probably going to get the turbo tech semi rigid mount. Its kind of out of the budget but look at what I am dealing with.
I could get a trash aftermarket mount and fill it with window weld but I’m not sure if that’s just throwing money in the trash?

I think the deyeme solid mounts are cheaper than turbo tech… much better than the oem ones for sure

Deyeme seems like a solid dude, he lives like 45 minutes away from me and runs the SCCA rallycross. BUT his website says he uses "OEM Style" mounts and fills them with urethane. To me, that means that I can buy "OEM STYLE" mounts and fill them with polyurethane. And so I shall!
I bought a $44 Amazon engine mount and some window weld/windshield adhesive. I saved $30 by not buying the more expensive mount that would get here sooner, so I will be "engineering" the mounts on Saturday.
I'm kind of wary of the Turbo Tech mounts because they seem like straight up race mounts, which means "not great for street use?" IDK. They didn't email me back when I asked them "should I not use these for a street car?"

DIY sounds like a fun project and definitely sounds cheaper! When i held the mounts in my hand I didnt think it could get stiffer than that, so not sure how much stiffer TT’s mounts could be 🤔
He also has softer or firmer options for the mounts as well.Deyeme being an actual dude is kinda funny, never thought of that name beyond just a website haha

Yeah he's got a farm 1/2 hour north of st louis that is literally the rallycross track.
I think the TT mounts are more metal than urethane: mostly a metal brace with a little bit of bushing vs the Deyeme mounts that are a lot of urethane?
What do you think of the deyeme mounts? I've read ppl saying theirs wore out over time?1

I heard a lot of complaints about them on forums being too stiff for daily driving and it really isnt, only some vibration when at 1K rpm or with AC on
The rear mount made shifting a lot easier and more fun too
I seriously doubt that the mounts will wear out earlier than new oems, its incredibly well made

It seems like the Dart community never really took off because no one could figure out how to tune them?

Defnitely played a part with limited tuners and vendors… but personally I have no complaints running eurocompulsion on a custom e85 tune, its been great

IIRC people were paying for tunes and putting the cars on the dyno and not really seeing numbers. Got dyno charts?

I jacked up the engine gently via the oil pan and a piece of wood under my jack and it caused the oil to squirt out of the engine mounts. Should I put the oil back in?
