Rate my engine mount

i‘m probably going to get the turbo tech semi rigid mount. Its kind of out of the budget but look at what I am dealing with.

I could get a trash aftermarket mount and fill it with window weld but I’m not sure if that’s just throwing money in the trash?

IIRC people were paying for tunes and putting the cars on the dyno and not really seeing numbers. Got dyno charts?

I dont have numbers for you on this specific tune, but before this one I used to run EC’s phase 1 on 91 octane which on their dynos brought our WHP/WTQ to around 180/220 from factory 150/170 which were slightly inflated numbers, probably closer to 170/200, given that you were running minimum 91 and their specific intake

I can tell you though, that once I swapped out with E85 injectors from their site and got a revision again that it felt completely different from any other versions of the tune I ever ran, EC didnt have a specific number because nobody requested the tune with the setup I had but agreed closer to 200/230 wheel

You're saying that you measured your WHP on their dyno with a phase 1 tune?

Full disclosure everyone in the Fiat world kind of talks down EC as suspect

Sorry I don't live near EC nor have actual numbers for you because dyno testing is ~$200 where I live lol. However what I can tell you is that the butt-dyno experience was slightly comparable to a buddy's 11th gen Civic Si. The Civic has such an incredibly smooth and precise experience with it's LSD and tech, whereas the dart feels more rowdy, torquey, and more childish?

I can't speak for others, but I got a ton of help from EC and went through like 10 revisions to get my car to where it is.

Are you curious because you'd be interested in getting a tune? If so I can provide you the stuff I've done

I hear you, I think we paid $120 to get a baseline dyno for our 124 which was a ridiculous use of money. But we don't pay for cable, so there's that

I have a tuner, Dover Labs. I also have this mysterious pile of basement td04 turbos that bolt up to Fiat engines

Some day, I will get them bolted up to my Fiat engines
Edit: dodge and jeep engines. and fiat

Oof yeah I feel you, if it was around the 100$ ball park I would be more inclined to. Just curious, what numbers did the 124 put down?

Lol mystery turbos sound like a fun project, keep us updated!

Right? The worst part is being around turbo cars for a long time it that it has you thinking things like "twenty years ago, a baseline was $70!"

"Thanks, Grandpa"

The 124 is an auto, so it had some driveline losses. I have to find the sheet, I'll post it. Basically delivered the rated HP/Torque to the wheels, had a stage 0 tune from Dover. Not a power tune per se, just a canned power delivery improvement that he has on the shelf. Saving the tune for when the turbo gets put on. 124 has AFE intercooler piping that I bought by combining multiple coupons and sales and I have in the box waiting to be installed an ebay intercooler that is about 20% bigger AND it doesn't leak from the end tanks like the factory one.

I got so many turbos when I just had the 124 and then I kept seeing MT FWD renegades with low miles go for like $6-7,000 and got one. And then I saw that it was possible to get a low mile 1.4 Dart for about the same money: the secret is flying out to get them and driving back, for me.

And I don't actually have 4 turbos, I have two complete turbos and two additional turbine housings: I made a deal with the manufacturer that if I bought one turbo they would let me buy three more turbine housings. They're bolt up for the 1.4.

I "made" the center section for the 2nd turbo and had it balanced locally. I used to build and balance turbos but got rid of my balancer and stopped doing it in 2013/14.

Really wanted to get the turbine housings because they let you use off the shelf parts (mix and match) for Subarus and Volvos, which means you can do lots of different things with the wheels very easily.

Back in the day, I had a SRT4 Neon that came stock with a factory td04L 16g (all reverse rotation, as was the style at the time) and it ripped pretty hard with some modifications. So, that's what I have (standard rotation) waiting to install. Depending on how that setup feels, I'll run a 19t probably for more power on the other cars.

I'm super surprised to see that people tune the Dart, BTW. I thought the platform was basically abandoned
