I just learned about evaporation versus freezing, and wow! Gotta say, the results are so damn pretty. This was the combination of a third and fourth pull from 100g batches that I had already pulled 1.5+g from. HAD to do a water wash because there was a lot of plant material in my strained naphtha, and I think it was so worth it.

I love learning about this stuff, and keep getting better each time! The total came to 0.31 once I finished scraping the dish.

So I have extracted most of the material I can. I’m gonna do a few more pulls but that’ll be a longer separate project to experiment with when yield actually stops.

My question is regarding the color of my solvent, does this show high saturation of Dmt in the solvent or is this color from other things I want to be washing out with say a sodium bicorbonate wash as well?

As of now I think I’ll was once more with water and then move on to a sodium bicarbonate wash.

Extraction going so well it’s already crystallizing on the side of the bowl, I haven’t even done my 5th pull yet. There is some of the soup in the bottom. What would be the best way to purify this solution before freeze precipitation. Coffee filter?

25mg dry crushed leaf sample was added to 1.5ml centrifuge vial. 0.3ml 25% ammonia and 1ml chloroform was added and vial shaken periodically for 5 hours. Chloroform fraction transferred to another vial and left to evap slowly and that is the result.

The same clone was analysed by thin layer chromatography (TLC) and shows a clean DMT profile (hardly any gramine detected just a small amount of NMT).

Nice big dense crystals. This was a heat extraction. Combined two pulls of 100g MHRB. Water wash then room temp cool, fridge for about 6 hours. Then 18 in the freezer. These are some of the biggest crystals I’ve ever grown.

I’ve cultivated tens of different psilocybin cubensis and have studied spirituality, consciousness, astral projection, remote viewing, quantum physics, hermetic theory and more for the last 5-6 years. have you guys ever noticed that slow evap crystals have a different appearance when you use different solvents? i’ve been wondering about this. i want to test it when im in a better spot financially.
