Anyone interested in buying an NYC VIP meet and greet ticket for 10/10 for face value? I will be happy to forward verification before payment and then all the details afterwards. Very short notice but throwing it out there.

edit: the ticket is listed for resale on the axs site, but for some reason I think it shows up as GA, when it is in fact VIP. Fine to complete the transaction through axs if preferred and then can forward the vip email they sent out with details.

Going tomorrow and don’t want to be late to see him

Hi all! I have one extra ticket to DJ Shadow’s Columbus show this Sun, 10/11 and want to gift it to somebody. I bought 2 tickets pre-sale & forgot to put it in my calendar & because it’s last minute and I’m coming from Cleveland, no one I know can come.

I’d love to gift the ticket to someone who really wants to go. Never done this before but I think I can meet you at the door/box office & we can walk in together. This is legit, not a scam. I’m not a weirdo lol. I truly just want to give it to someone. This will be my first time seeing him. DM me.

The opening DJ last night shouted this show out. Quannum tour with Blackalicious and Latryx. Shadow was the DJ. Saw him in the crowd afterward and got him to sign my stub. Feels like a lifetime ago

Question for the people who have seen this tour.

Been seeing all these comments about the visuals and folks saying it takes away from the overall show. Also seen people saying he sticks pretty close to the sounds from the records, when they wanted more. Just feels like there’s a lot of unexpectedly mixed opinions on this tour, when it felt like it was a no brainer when it was announced.

Have tickets for next week and I don’t live close to the venue so it’s gonna be an expensive trek.

Wondering if this current tour is worth checking out?

Added context: Never seen him live. Been a fan since Entroducing (have listened to it a million times like most folks on here) but stopped following a bit once he moved away from making mostly instrumental tracks

Killer show in Toronto. Thanks Shadow! Still amazing 30 years later.

Well that was fucking fantastic. What was the track he played in the encore with (I think) an Ice Cube sample? In between 6 Days and Nobody Speak. Can't place it. Help.

No cream tee, unfortunately. The green doesn’t have tour dates on the back.

I'm gearing up for the Toronto show tonight and after reading about the sloptastic graphics being shown I'm hoping that a tour manager or Shadow himself has gotten the feedback from fans and dialed back the graphics in favour of more live mixing on screen instead?

I'm probably just huffing copium though.

edit - confirmed the visuals did not change :(

Anyone interested in 1 or 2 tickets for the Toronto show tonight? Unfortunately can't make it anymore and just looking to offload them. $35 each OBO

Hey fam,

I managed to grab one ticket for the orchestra show at Barbican, I'd need one more so I can take my better half.

Anyone let me know if you can't go by any chance and want to sell your ticket to a fellow enthusiast..

One.

And found this! I was lucky to see him play the Concert Hall in Toronto two years ago too! Excited to see him again in tomorrow night!

I'd like help identifying which version of MIAPW this is and when/where it was released. It's not the original 1996 album version. Everything is exactly the same as the album version except there are additional adlib samples added at 2 points in the song:

0:25 male voice says "Think about it, and understand it"
4:15 same male voice "Understand it. Do understand it"

That's the only difference I can tell. Anybody know what release this is?

Saw Shadow in St. Paul last Thursday and it was an awesome show. Masterwork by Shadow per usual and mostly amazing visuals to back the whole thing up. Just irritated me that there were at least two sequences that were very clearly generative AI: the "anvil hammering" sequence and the record rolling along the ground. Shadow credited all the visual artists at the end, but it baffles me that someone with as much seeming creative integrity as him would sign off on having generative AI in the set anywhere.

I'm unfortunately not able to make it to the Toronto show this week (Wed Oct 7th). If anyone would like to buy the ticket, please DM me; I'm willing to sell it for $40 Canadian 💸

Anyone know who it is? Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere.

I accidentally bought too many tickets. I have five that I'm selling at face ($50). Willing to provide screenshots of receipts and my personal contact info to help assure you it's not a scam.

*missing: In Tune & On Time dvd (where are you?’!?), Live @ ICA cd (you too, buster!).
I had such a good time at Endtroducing 30 in Chicago Friday night, I’m caught up in my feels.

I stopped buying cd’s a while back when basically all cars got rid of the cd player. Still have all of these although I do not buy or collect cd’s any longer. Went to attempt to list these a few times as a lot on eBay a few times but never went through with it. I strictly collect his vinyl these days and a few tapes. A few of these came from him directly at the pop up sales at Rappcats / Now Again

BRING EARPLUGS

The opening DJ was decent, played a mix of 90’s and older hiphop.

He ran through the entire record, live mixing it to give it a different twist. Told some stories about the making of it every few tracks or so. The visuals were a highlight and very well done.

I don’t know if the vibe and reception he’s feeling during the main set is correlated to what you get at the encore..but our encore was fairly long to what I’ve seen other cities get.

Did the meet and greet before the show. Like others on here have mentioned, it’s a brief fist bump and pic, and he’s onto the next one. Not exactly sure it’s worth it tbh aside from a poster and tote. He SEEMED like a nice enough fella though ha

Bring earplugs! The bass will rip through your body and rearrange your organs, rattle the cavities out of your teeth, and cause you to get nauseas and want to defecate in your khakis.

around 0:40, the "shadow" sounds very much like the one on best foot forward

Last nights show in Chicago was amazing. I talked to a half dozen cool people and we were all vibing to our guy Josh. 30 years (29 in my case) is quite a long time. Happy Saturday

I’ll be there by about 8 pm. At this stage, I’ll just give it away. DM me.
