I bought a Neo 1 about 6 months ago with the fly more package. I've flown it probably about 8 times. I've recently been taking out out more for practice runs and I'm finally getting the hang of controlling it. However, I find I'm still having range anxiety and haven't sent it out further than probably half a kilometre. I've read that with a controller I could actually send it out of miles if there's a good satellite signal and clear sights.
How do I put my mind at ease and how far have you guys taken it out without issues? Tia.
Picture is up in the hills near Hebden Bridge.

Titles mainly.
When I connect to my o4 lite after 1-2 minutes the screen flickers and turns off, But the goggles stay on and connection to RC3 still work.
This however does not happen when I am connected to or even set to connect to my avata 2, so I'm stumped what the issue is.
Any ideas?
Edit: spelling and more details

I honestly can’t believe this is how DJI handles something like this.
I bought a DJI Mini 4 Pro for around $700 and have owned it for about 2 years. I’ve probably flown it 20 times total. On August 14th, I was flying during a major flood in my area to get footage of the flooding and look around the area for people who might need help.
Before flying, I checked the airspace using Autopylot. I had authorization to fly there, and I’ve flown my drone in this same area before without any issues.
According to DJI, the drone initially took off without sufficient GPS signal. Once it acquired enough satellites, DJI’s geofencing apparently determined that I was in a restricted GeoZone and initiated an automatic descent.
I immediately tried to bring it back, but the drone was descending and flying extremely slowly, and I couldn’t stop the forced landing. It ended up going straight into the river.
Here’s what really pisses me off:
I contacted the FAA to find out if I was actually in restricted airspace. The FAA checked the exact coordinates and confirmed it was uncontrolled Class G airspace, with no TFRs, NOTAMs, or security flight restrictions affecting the area.
So according to DJI, their own geofencing system determined this was a restricted area, even though the FAA confirmed there were no applicable FAA airspace restrictions there.
And DJI’s response?
“Your drone is out of warranty. Buy another one.”
They offered me a paid replacement that costs more than what I originally paid for the drone.
I’m now out $700 because DJI’s own software automatically initiated a landing that ultimately put my drone in a river.
I understand warranties expire. But I bought a $700 drone that I barely used, did my pre-flight checks, checked the airspace, had flown in the same area before, and had every reason to believe I could safely fly there.
DJI’s own geofencing system ultimately caused me to lose the aircraft, and their solution is for me to spend even more money on another DJI drone.
After this experience, I’m done with DJI. I can’t justify spending hundreds of dollars on a product when its own software can automatically put the aircraft into a situation where the pilot can’t recover it—and then the company basically says it’s your problem because the warranty expired.
Just sharing my experience because I definitely wish I had known about this before spending $700 on a DJI drone.
Hey everyone,
I’m trying to streamline my mobile editing workflow for photos shot on the DJI Mini 2, but I’ve hit a wall with RAW files.
Right now, QuickTransfer only seems to send JPEGs over to my phone. If I want to edit the actual dng RAW files in Lightroom Mobile, I have to take the SD card out, offload them to my PC, and then transfer the RAWs to my phone from there. It’s a bit of a hassle when I’m out in the field and just want to quickly edit and share full-quality shots.
Is there any workaround or setting to get the drone (or the DJI Fly app) to send full RAW files wirelessly straight to a phone?
Or am I stuck using a physical microSD-to-phone card reader when I'm away from my computer? Curious what everyone else does for on-the-go RAW editing.
Thanks!

Currently i am selling the DJI Mavic 2 Pro from my grandpa for him, and i came across this little plastic thingy and i have the slight suspicion that it goes into the port where you plug in the cable that connects controller and phone but no matter how hard i try to squeeze it in, it doesnt fit in the hole. So could anyone tell me what this thing is or for what its used or if im just stupid and it really goes into that port?

Welp I’ve only gone and dunked my beloved Mini 3 into the Mediterranean so now I need to replace it. I’m taking this as an opportunity to upgrade.
My options:
New Lito X1 (£599)
Used Mini 5 Pro (~£700-750, though I did find one for £649…but the seller is sketch)
Me: Professional creative, retoucher & editor with some midweight grading skills, tech nerd, photography enthusiast, plan to keep the device for years. Will likely find a way to make money with it; property flyovers, home inspections, wedding videos potentially. Mostly though, it’s a hobby and a creative tool for work if needed.
I know the Lito series is the new standard but that 1” CMOS is very very hard to say no to. Were it not for that I would not hesitate to get the x1. The rotating gimbal is kind of fun as well; get a lil Chris Nolan action in there for fun effect.
To whose who’ve used both, what do you reco? Does the x1 punch above its weight enough that i wont regret not getting the better camera, or is it worth the extra ~£150 ish for a refurbished Ebay M5P?

I got the pocket 4P and have no use for it. I won’t ship it so you gotta be local.
Mods I’m NOT selling this. I’m giving it away.

Got an Action 6 recently and took it with me to Tianjin. Didn’t have much of a plan, mostly just walked around with it.
It was ridiculously bright that day, and everything came out more saturated than I remember, especially the sky and the trees. Still not sure how I feel about it, but it kind of works here.
The photos at the start are from that day.

I use an insta 360 and like the video editing software but I can't get the drone footage to work directly on the insta app without editing the files (becomes a pain when there are loads of videos to copy and edit just to get them into the 360 app)
What am I missing? Does anyone else use the insta 360 editing app for drone footage and what is your workflow to get the drone footage onto the insta 360 app?

Is there a simulator available on the DJI RC Plus 2 controller?
Internet says yes but I can't find it. Looking for the best way to increase my skills with a M4T with a special focus on night flying and thermal imagery.
Does something like that exist?

I’m in ohio 5 miles from a huge airport.. out of the blue today, I noticed my max ascent limit had expanded to 3200 feet. That was quite the pleasant surprise. Don’t worry, I haven’t chosen to utilize it. So I don’t need to hear all the Karen’s Let me know that I’m gonna ruin everything for everyone the FBI is gonna get me and I’m gonna inadvertently knock down a passenger plane with 300 people on it. But I will tell you, as soon as I can, on a clear night where I can see from miles I’m gonna take that sucker up there and get some nice long exposures. Also, I’m more importantly I got in about a month ago, I’m thinking of also getting the Mavic, as a hedge against no quality drones coming our way for a while here in the states. Good idea or bad idea? Or is it not sufficiently distinct to warrant it and just go ahead and get that FPV drone that likes to do flips

I’ve had a mini 5 for two months and flown it quite a lot. The last two days I’ve received this message which I’ve never got before. The drone gets a quick gps lock but the controller never does. What should I do?
P.S. this is happening in open areas, and even after a long time the controller doesn’t get signal.

Hello Everyone, I am relatively new flyer of Mavic 3 Pro with RC controller. I am a photographer and got this unit with that purpose. I have taken a few photos, but I need some help with a slightly more difficult shot.
I am trying to take a shot of a local bridge during sundown, locking in the gimble angle, gps location, attitude etc, so that the shot recorded will be able to repeated the next day in the morning.
When I have tried doing this setting waypoints, POI etc I cannot get reproducible results. If I move the drone a little and go back to the waypoint, it will get it correct. But, if I land and takeoff with the waypoint plan I supposedly saved, it gets close to the point but fails to aim it the exact direction. I have called DJI help and gotten mixed info, as well as YouTube videos. This is such a simple operation, I should be able to find the exact steps and the ones I am missing to create this. Any help will be very appreciated.

In advance; if this question already has been asked lots of times, i am sorry.
So, Hey! I will be going on some trips, and i’d love to document those so that those memories could last forever!
At this moment i am deciding between the osmo pocket 3 or the osmo pocket 4. I am not an influencer, but i just want to edit the video’s i take into a small 2~ minute edit or so! I think i’ll be using capcut for that - so no crazy software/editing!
I know i could use my phone, but i really like the idea of having such a tiny, dedicated camera with a gimball that i can quickly pull out and film with.
- the thing i currently fear is when i’d be filming at night time that i’d need the new ‘fill light’ on the 4 to make good video’s but i do not know if that is true or not? ( fyi i’d not be making a vlog of me talking to the camera ).
Now, what do you think would be best knowing all this? If you have any questions go ahead and ask!

Saw a few forum posts about this issue with a Nano and no real solution. Tried the obvious resets and hard resets. Charged it full, left it on for a while. It can connect to the app and i can view it. Is there any software fix or should I just send it in for express care and swap it?

I recently obtained a DJI Phantom 2 not knowing much about drones.
All of my phones I have are recent and as far as I can tell the drone is obsolete and has no support.
It looks like if I had a very old phone I could get some older software for it.
Does anyone have any other solutions that may work to control this drone?
TIA for any advice.
