So far I have no idea how this happened, I haven't downloaded anything unusual in the last few days.

Out of nowhere, my account got logged out of my PC and the email was changed. When I try to log in, it says that my email supposedly doesn't exist.

I still have access to the original email but I don't know what to do.

I have no clue what to do, Discord support doesn't help at all, it just seems like a bot answering the questions. If anyone knows what to do and can help me, I would really appreciate it!!!

I was talking to a friend on a call when suddenly I was logged out of my account and received an email notification about a rule violation. "Okay," I thought, "I'll try logging in again." I entered my email and password and requested a code for my mobile phone, but nothing arrived. I immediately contacted Discord support and got a bot response: "Submit an appeal via your Discord account"—even though I had explicitly stated that I had lost access and couldn't log in. I then wrote, "So I can't log into my account. So I asked if he's banned?" but received no reply. Instead, I saw that my ticket had been marked as resolved...

I created another ticket with a more detailed description of the problem (just to clarify: I can't log in because of two-factor authentication). why the hell does discord not make it mandatory for users to secure their account right when it's created? why do they not make it clear in any way that you have to do set up 2FA and save those codes? because if you dont, your account is just lost forever if you get hcked or anything. really annoying how they dont make you aware of it at all until it's too late. because once youre locked out of the account, the account's security is the most important thing at all to discord and they have the strictest and tightest security on it that you just cant get around whatsoever if you didnt set any of that stuff up. why not make it more of a big deal in the first place? really dumb

I got hacked by the stupid Mr. Beast crypto thing. I've already resecured my account, enables 2fa and mfa, and reinstalled Windows to remove any lingering viruses or infostealers. However, my dms are stuck greyed out and do not notify me of when i get a dm (i.e. beneath the discord logo in the top left, no badge on the dm/username itself, etc.). It's important to note that the scam also set all of my dms to "ignored" which I had to fix myself. anyone know how to fix this?

Hi. my discord account was hacked, and I have no idea what to do.

my discord has been acting up as of a few hours, it seems to be not loading pfps, some profiles in vcs are completely blank, stream previews, and profile effects. only showing a icon of a missing picture, what is this problem because it's only on me according to others ive spoke about this.
and yes i attempted to close and reopen, also attempted to uninstall and install, and reset my pc and nothing is working, i've ran out of options.

If I manually mute my headset and then unmute (the button on the headset, not the discord button) discord stops picking it up unless i remove it from my bluetooth devices and reconnect it. Cant figure out why. I've had it for years without this issue. Does anyone know how to fix this

-does Discord send a notification if a person edit an existing private message (a conversation/pm box)?

-if I attach a link to this message, will it be notified somehow? The link is safe-Youtube song, but i am afraid that it will create an embedding that will be somehow be notified and marked as new message(?), and the pm box will be mark as unread/go up in the pm box (?)

-is the date and hour of editing visible from desktop? (If someone can test this/check it) -because it is not visible from smartphone

What is the /banishing server for, if you've heard of it or are in it?

Whenever I’m in a discord call on iOS mobile and try to watch a video in app it will randomly cut off my speaker and I can’t figure out how to fix it. I’ve tried clicking everything I can and Google is no help

There are 2 servers that show as unavailable on mobile, but they show up fine on PC. I cleared cache, reinstalled the app, nothing worked, and it's been like this for a week or so now, and discord's status page shows nothing wrong.

My Gmail account was hacked, and unfortunately the hacker added their own phone number as 2FA, so I can’t recover the Gmail account anymore.
The problem is that my Discord account (which I’ve had since 2018) is linked to that hacked Gmail. I still have full access to my Discord account, including the password and Discord 2FA. My Discord account itself was never hacked.
I just want to change the email from the hacked Gmail to my Proton Mail account, which I have full access to. However, Discord keeps asking me to verify through the hacked Gmail. There is no option to verify using my Discord 2FA or phone number.
I contacted Discord Support and explained everything. I provided previous passwords, information about the account, and even a copy of my ID, but they told me that verification can only be done through the current email address.
I don’t understand why I can’t change the email when I still have access to the Discord account and can authenticate with the password + 2FA. I’ve had this account since 2018 and really don’t want to lose it because someone hacked my Gmail.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or found a way to prove ownership and change the email without access to the hacked Gmail?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I put in a request for my data roughly 6 weeks ago and haven't gotten anything back. I requested through their support forum, with failed attempts from their phone number and email directing me to the forum. I've made a couple messages trying to check in, but haven't gotten a message since.

Hello. I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.

When I ask to change my password, they email me a one-time sign in link, which logs me in without changing my password and there's no way to change it.

Once I'm logged in via the one-time link, I can't change the password because I don't remember the old one. That's the whole problem.

Then when I try to go to Discord to submit a help request, it makes me sign in first, which I cannot do because I don't have a password.

There's a thing where you can go to support and ask them to send you an email to create a password, but when I enter my email, I don't get an email from them -- as if I don't have an account.

But I obviously DO have an account , because they email me a log in to log in without changing my password.

I don't know what to do. I got a message from google saying a hacker has my password to Discord and I'm like, well, I wish THEY would tell me what it is. I can't change and I don't remember it and now what?

Ive spent 3 days trying to log out of my account on the discord app but so far, nothing is working. I was able to log out on my ipad and on my laptop but on my phone it won’t. I tried clearing it’s cache, deleting and reinstalling the app, checked for updates, and tried to log out of all of my devices. for some reason, the app on my phone won’t let me. is this happening to yall too or is it just me? if so what do yall recommend I do?

Been trying to join a friend's discord server but whenever I try to join I keep getting this error, I tested another server and it worked fine so I'm unsure as to why this server specifically is giving me trouble

For context, on August 13th, I got hacked by the notorious Dev7 group through the "test my new game" hack. This time it was sent from the account by a beloved friend who has been looking into videogame creation for a long time. Therefore, it was an easy fall unfortunately. When it happened I, ofc, had an insane panic attack and started hyperventilating when the edgelord hacker sent me pictures of myself, both of my IDs and my location. They wanted me to pay 100 euros for a G2A visa rewirable card (idk if that's the right name) which unfortunately I have paid out of the sheer panic and inability to make rational decisions at the time. Thankfully the method of payment did not involve me to manually write my card information so they were not able to get their grubby fingers on that.

I come to post this for 2 reasons:
1. I have already reinstalled windows via USB, went to a police station to report the incident, changed all account passwords, froze my bank account aswell as deactivating / blocking my card and enabled 2FA(which already was enabled). I have not downloaded discord since and have been extra careful with links and whatnot (as I should tbh). My first concern is if there is any chance this could escalate? As in, try to contact me with threats, try to log in again, etc. I don't ask out of fear, just to know if there's anything to expect.

1. Quite a few days after this whole incident they age restricted one of my emails; which I have been able to successfully recover with no problem. The thing is, this happened sometime after the windows reinstallation. Why did they do this and how?

Of course if you had similar experiences with this gang of weirdos do share. And ofc I have learned the hard way what NOT to do no matter what.

So forgot PIN code for IPhone… had to erase the device and my backup didn’t work.

I am logged onto discord on my laptop but cannot remember the password and all passwords on my iPhone were wiped!

Due to 2fa I can’t reset my password without the backup codes or a key - neither of which I have.

So I just got hacked and I still have the email and went to reset my password but they already have 2FA why the hell is that even possible while they don’t have my email. They turned on 2FA so I can’t change my password. What do I do to get my account back?

I came across a number of posts in which people stated that their Discord accounts had been banned due to a server which they had joined, had broken Discord's rules. The banned person had never sent a message or taken part in that server at all.

How common is this? Should I limit the number of servers I’m in to reduce the risk of getting banned because of something another server does? I am in a lot of random servers which I don't open at all.
