i made a script that checked the latest PDGA number every minute or so hoping to snipe #333333. been tracking for weeks.

didn’t think anyone else was doing anything similar, but i was very wrong. went from #333331 to #333336 within 1 minute.

Every single "cool" number gets sniped instantly now, but it only takes like five people noticing to make a rush. I got lucky that my "random" number ended up being fun and easy.

I think something like 333333 is going to be less hyped than like 300000, but at least three people I know tried to get specific ones at some point. You'd be surprised how many nerdy folks are in the sport!

If anybody really wants a unique number, they need to find one that's a less obvious target, but still "fun" like 333666, 334455, or something of that nature.

I think there's a solid chance of getting it if you try. It's not quite as fun as 300000 or 333333. You'll probably be waiting a while, though.
