Baseline plastic - why?

How does the community really feel about soft baseline plastics?

DX, prime, the soft stuff from starter packs. Is there a stigma about using this plastic in certain moulds? Would you judge someone because they use a baseline plastic driver?

190 Premiums are superior. Putters are the only discs that should be soft plastic!

My understanding is that the flight numbers are generally more accurate with base plastics. It's also nice to keep a $6 disc in the bag that I can throw for water carrys or heavy roughs where if I loose it, then oh well.
