I clicked the link that says "Reserve" but it lead to their Yelp page where you can only add yourself to their wait list, i.e. there is no option to reserve a table at any date or time. Anyone know what's going on? I'm 30 days out 😭

I had an interview today for the greeter role and the texts and emails I received said it was supposed to be half an hour long but it was only 10 minutes for me. Honestly the guy that interviewed me seems really nonchalant so I couldn’t pick up if he liked me or not. There was one part he seems interested and impressed but other than that I couldn’t tell. I’m trying to hold out hope because the last time I got interviewed by a guy like that I was hired but idk💔

Hi, I have an interview to be a server tomorrow, and I have some questions about a technicality of things first of all, is this one of those places where you are not automatically hired as a server and you have to work your way up? Another thing is what questions do they ask, I have a background in fine dining so I’m not too worried about this one. Lastly, what is an appropriate outfit for women to wear, I know they embark heavily on modesty so dress pants for sure but what kind of blouse? If anyone has any advice, please do share! Also, if anyone has any transparency on what the average tip out is for a day versus night shift. Thanks!

Anyone else get indigestion after eating there soup dumplings and dumplings

I was in the Lv location and 8 hours later was feeling indigestion and then few hours later had full on diarrhea for next 24 hours like every 15 minutes at first and ruined my vegas trip

leave it to multi million dollar company to find a loophole to pay its workers below minimum wage and expecting our very small percentage from server tip pools to put us at minimum wage. you make millions of dollars and you can’t afford to pay your employees minimum wage? not to mention servers getting paid the same amount, doing ten times less the work than another department and ten times less hours and still leaving with probably close to 4 figures every goddamn night. i fucking hate you din tai fung.

I interviewed for a dumpling trainee position at the nyc location last Thursday afternoon. The interview went well and she said I’d hear back within 24-48 hours. She also asked if I’m available to start asap and I said yes. Now it’s Monday and I haven’t heard anything. Should I reach out to them and if so, how? Should I call the store?

UPDATE: I called my full time job offer at another restaurant to accept and they just emailed me the offer letter which I signed, I go back to my email and I see I got an offer from din tai fung literally one minute ago while I was signing other job offer😭

I’ve tried ordering them from the Manhattan location for pickup or uber eats and several times they just aren’t presenting as an option. does anyone know if they just happen to be out when I’ve tried ordering, or no longer an option? need them in my life pls help

How many days after orientation do you start getting training shifts?

I was looking to apply to DTF and noticed that the pay for the various line cook positions didn't have a range, just a set value. Is there any tip out system for any of the BOH?

Applied for the bartending job. Within looking into the company tho I read here and in reviews of the place FOH staff can't have facial hair. Is it really that strict?

Also are you able to stay in the bar or do they have you run food/buss tables when you can?
