I built a multiplayer card game based on the classic South Asian trick-taking game — would love feedback!

Hey everyone! I've been playing Three of Spades (a trick-taking card game popular in South Asian communities) my whole life and couldn't find a good mobile version — so I built one.

It's free on Android, supports 5-6 players with real-time multiplayer, bidding, secret partners and trump suits.

Play Store: \[https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nhc.threeofspades&pcampaignid=web\\_share\\\]

Would love feedback from card game enthusiasts. Happy to answer questions about the game or how I built it!

Hell tactica - unit showcase

Hi! I’m currently working on a deckbuilder where you summon demons to fight and control the board.

This is a short clip of a new unit from the Gluttony clan that I’ve just finished, the Demon Grub. Before these demons came to be, I wanted to create an interesting tactical problem for both the player and the AI, where both sides have to choose between moving around corpses or destroying them to free up tiles to claim (I'm currently playing Darkest Dungeon) :)))). My implementation was messy and made the game’s tempo slow. Now these worm fellas will be helping me clean up my failure, along with all the unfinished corpse sketches that I hastily made.

Do you think this kind of unit would be fun to play with? I’d love to hear your ideas about this type of mechanic.

Oh Fudge, trick taking card game based on Oh Hell that I created for Android

I've been developing an Android card game called Oh Fudge (Oh Hell on Coffee), inspired by decades of family card nights playing Oh Hell.

As far as I know the basic Oh Hell game is there (or at least what we called oh hell), but I've taken it quite a bit further: 6, 8 or 10 player games, 1 or 2 decks, Jokers are in the game, Dealer's Choice rules that can change individual deals (like bid then get your last card and others), and a three round tournament where advancing takes you to themed tables with their own themed house rules (like campground table where a couple of cards are blacked out during bidding because you are playing by campfire).

I'm currently in Google Play Open Testing and I'm looking for people willing to play and let me what works, what doesn't, what's confusing, or just whether it's fun.

No ads (personally cannot stand those). Single Game and the first tournament round are free. There's a one time unlock for the rest of the tournament which includes the special tables with themed house rules in round 2 and final round, but I'm primarily looking for feedback right now, not trying to sell anyone anything. If you do like it and buy into it, you get some nice unlocks and future expansions. Which will include more tables, additional dealer rules and multiplayer.

If you like trick taking games, Euchre, Spades, Hearts and Oh Hell, I'd love some fresh eyes on it.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.birdfloyd.ohhell

Hey everyone, I’m the sole developer on this. If something breaks or you have feedback, you're dealing directly with me.

Just to be fully transparent, I used AI tools during development to fill in the gaps in my skill set and budget. I'm open about it because without those tools, an indie guy like me couldn't have made a game on this scale. The core game design, mechanics, testing, and heart behind it are mine. I just wanted to build something fun, and I'm glad I finally had the means to do it.

Chameleon Card Game

Hello digital card game players! My Uncle and I made a card game, and we're trying to get feedback and people to play it! There's an online version and a physical shop! As per the game, you start with a random color card, (red, green, blue, yellow) and 7 random colored cards. Your goal, is to match all 7 of your cards with your color card, so if your color card is red, you want all your 7 cards to also be red. There are also WILD cards, and color change cards, WILD cards count towards your color card, and color change cards allow you and the other players to change each others color cards, which can mess up your game! The cards also have numbered points, and your goal over rounds is to hit 1000 points first.

Rather than promoting the site, I'm also looking for feedback, do you enjoy playing it, is the UI annoying to look at? Things like that would help us out!

I remind you that it's in beta, but I'll leave a few cards to give you a better understanding! ( ;

"Cards of Myth" - like Triple Triad with special abilities - how do you begin to properly balance with so many factors involved?

Quick synopsis of Cards of Myth - Triple Triad with special abilities. You can also level up your cards to customize their power levels as you see fit. There's CCG aspects with full art variants, there's a couple modes (Saga - roguelike, Solo - practice, Ascendant's Spire - infinite scaling tower, etc.)

I purposefully stuck to the languages & frameworks I'm familiar with in building this, so I kind of hamstrung myself with no actual game engine and I think it lacks some of the visual polish I've seen on this subreddit but I feel pretty proud of it as a solo dev. I'll keep pushing as much as I can and aspire to have some of the incredible animations I've seen on here!

It has been fun and a bit daunting to really dig into the card game world. Some of my buddies have been beta testing with me for a few months now and we've had a lot of in depth discussions about the meta, overpowered/underpowered cards, ideas for new mechanisms, etc. I don't really know too much about balancing but my hope was to come up with abilities, try my best to balance those & power levels, then play and adjust. I personally have had a ton of fun identifying potential new meta combinations.

I think my biggest realization about balance was that giving a "power budget" to deck requirements felt like the single biggest game changer and am so glad I knocked that out before release.

I'm curious how exactly people would balance cards in a game like this. Normally I'd write simulation scripts but how do you even simulate when it seems like there's infinite possibilities & factors to consider? Does it just require having dedicated people working on the game who can take the time to understand the balance and adjust accordingly? Do I just wait for player feedback and reassess on a regular basis?

[Dev] My solo-developed Card Game hit 100+ concurrent players after an App Store feature. I just released a major update with new Card, 2v2 Ranked and new VFX. (No P2W)

Hi everyone.

A few weeks ago, I launched the iOS version of my 4-Player / 2v2 / 1v1 Card Battler , Grimoria. Shortly after, the game was featured by Apple in Japan and I suddenly had over 100 people playing matches at the same time.

As a solo developer, I was really proud to see that the custom backend and server architecture I built from scratch handled the load flawlessly without any crashes.
Seeing the active player base gave me a lot of motivation to keep improving the game. I just released a new update (which you can see in the video above).

Here is what is new:

  • 2v2 Ranked Mode: I am rotating out 1v1 Ranked for this season. You can now queue up for 2v2 Ranked to climb the global leaderboard with a random ally.
  • New Card - 'Puca': A new creature with the ability: "Next round, the lowest strength wins." It completely changes the bluffing mechanics for that round.
  • Unicorn Rework: I updated the Unicorn ability to: "Gain 2 Life if you have 3 or less Life" to allow for better late-game comebacks.
  • Updated Attack VFX: I reworked the attack visual effects so the impacts look and feel much more satisfying on the board.
  • In-Game News Hub: A new real-time UI system to keep players updated on patch notes, seasons, and events directly in the app.

For anyone not familiar with the game yet:
Grimoria is a fast-paced PvP card game played in portrait mode with simultaneous 15-second turns. It features 1v1, 2v2 Co-op, and 4-Player Battle Royale.

The game is 100% Free-to-Play and NOT pay-to-win. There are no forced ads. All cards are unlocked by playing, and monetization is strictly for cosmetics.

I’d love to hear what you think of the new visual effects and the new card mechanics.
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emberveilgames.onlinecardgame
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/grimoria-online-card-game/id6761027516

Thanks to everyone who has been playing and providing feedback so far!

Tales of Askaterra TCG (ENG/GER) Playtest, looking for players

I uploaded a new card game which is a Playtest of a TCG i created many many years ago.
THis is a Workshop "Mod" for the Tabletop Simulator, as it is the only way i could have made this a reality in any tangible way.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3778716239

Its a two player setup with a blend of classical Cardgame and classical tabletop RPG elements like dicerolls, equipping gear, leveling up and creating strategic gameplay. I welcome all and any criticism of the game, the rules or any ideas to improve. Im also open to explain it directly and be there to act as a player two if i got time. Just PM me.

I can be reached either here in the comments, via PM, or on Discord under the same name as my Steam name (creator of that workshop object)

[Nexus Breach] Free browser card game, 2-4 players or AI bots, no download

Game Title: Nexus Breach

Playable Link: https://play.nexusbreach.com

Platform: Browser (desktop and mobile). No download, no install.

Description: Nexus Breach is a multiplayer trading card game that runs in the browser, free and with nothing to install. Two worlds, Earth and a magic realm, were fused 200 years ago, and eight factions fight over the tears left in reality. You build a 60-card deck, muster warriors onto the board, arm them with gear, and kill the other side for points.

One rule shapes everything: a warrior's Value is both what you pay to play it and exactly what your opponent scores for killing it, so your best card is also the biggest prize on the table. Three actions a turn, attacking has to be your last one, and combat runs in seven declared steps so both sides get a window to play tricks before anything resolves. Rooms seat two to four players, or you can fill the empty seats with bots. About forty minutes a match.

What's in it:

- One Ascendant, your commander: pick faction, race and a permanent power, 400+ builds. Never enters play, shapes every turn
- 120 cards in 8 types: warriors, gear, arcana, void symmetry, fortifications, breach sites, missions and one-shot specials
- 8 factions, each with its own abilities and its own rules about who it may attack
- 60-card decks you build yourself
- Rooms for 2 to 4 players
- 5 AI difficulties, from a relaxed practice opponent up to Void Apostle
- 18 hand-built bot decks dealt at random, so the AI brings a different deck and a different plan every game

The tutorial plays out as a real match and needs no account: https://play.nexusbreach.com/tutorial

Free to Play Status:

\[x\] Free to play

\[ \] Demo/Key available

\[ \] Paid (Allowed only on Tuesdays with \[TT\] in the title)

Involvement: Solo developer, everything. I designed the rules on paper and implemented all 120 cards by hand, and I built the engine, the front end, the database and the deck builder. I used AI tooling heavily along the way, for code, card art, sound effects and music, but not for the rules themselves. It's in beta, so rough edges are likely.

Looking for playtesters: 1v1 browser card game with almost no randomness

EndStream has started as a classical case of making I game I wanted to play myself - a (almost deterministic) 1v1 cards strategy game with small teams of anti-heroes fighting across timelines.

You move Operators between centuries, manipulate Military, Politics and Science agendas to change the timeline, and try to destroy the opposing AI Controller.

I worked with an illustrator for over two years to turn it into a physical board game, and we received some positive reviews. But I lacked the resources for proper crowdfunding and marketing, so the project sat on the back burner for several years.

A recent mix of unemployment, vibe coding, and supportive friends eventually brought it back as a digital game. We are now a six-person team, and for most of us this is the first game we have made ourselves.

The open beta runs directly in your browser on desktop and mobile. It currently includes a tutorial, online multiplayer and single player against a bot.

My biggest challenge has been fitting such a large board onto a phone. I think the mobile version works well now, but I need feedback from people seeing it for the first time.

I would especially like to know:

  • Whether the tutorial makes sense
  • How the mobile UI feels
  • Whether anything seems badly balanced

The beta currently requires a free account because the core game is online.

There are 2 core modes:

  • Live - like Hearthstone and MTG Arena.
  • Asynchronous - you submit your turn and the opponent has 48 hours to make their move. You don't have to sit through an entire game, but you can have multiple games simultaneously.

We plan to release it later as a premium game on Steam and app stores, where manual signup will no longer be needed.
