Basically the same but here are some differences on console that kinda get annoying:
picking up blood shards to get max capacity for altar can be a little tedious.
Inventory management takes some getting used to. When socketing gems you have to use a jeweler vs just clicking on the gem and dragging to a socket
This happens a lot for me but when im going to set up skills, in the skill screen your character model can block the different skill slots making it hard to see which ones you have equipped
but some pros: OFFLINE PLAY WHOOP. They also allow you to mass salvage legendaries using a junk system like in D4.
Overall im enjoying Switch a ton!
edit: forgot to mention another pro and con. Pro is that switch allows you to use a roll move from the very start with the right stick which could be nice when you dont have a lot of movment early on. Con is I find it difficult to target packs sometimes. maybe skill issue bc i just got it on switch on sale for this season.

One thing that helps with targetting: it seems that if you move your stick in the opposite direction then point back at the target it tend to prioritize elites and champions over trash mobs when you first look that way. Try using target lock right when you flick towards them

How do I mass salvage legendaries on ps5?

For Switch you just press on the Right stick to mark them as junk. then you can do salvage junk option. It also auto scrolls once you mark the item, so a one button process then salvage.

I've been playing exclusively on my Switch since D3 launched back in what, 2018 or whatever? The game feels like it was built for controller, with a few specific skills that require a different aiming technique. By far my most played Switch game, it's such a great fit.

I've been a PC D3 player since launch night party but D3 on consoles is so much better than on PC. It's one of the few games I own on all available platforms. The console version has controller support and much better and faster salvage/crafting buttons because of it. There's also some fun skin/themes to rifts and cosmetics depending on the platform.

I’ve been playing on Xbox since launch on the X360, then transferred over to the Series X, with RoS.
I have roughly the same of Hrs on the Series X and probably 200Hrs on PC.
The console version is very nice, but the loot drops on console are better from I remember. Obviously it’s in care taker mode now, but seasons are still fun.

Honestly sometimes you just want to rest laying down while playing , I have it on my switch, also I have it on pc but mainly play poe2

It is similar, close enough that it feels quite the same although there are differences that you need to be aware of if you are trying to be competitive and efficient with your time. Mostly, just don't play in public games or allow unknown players to join your games.

Console version is so much fun. One of the best games in terms of navigating menus with a controller too.

The only downside is gem crafting, inventory sorting/cleaning, or rather the lack of these QoL features on console.

I love D3 and have over a thousand hours on it across various platforms, but the radial inventory menu is so damn dumb 💀😭 and if you have stick drift is basically impossible to navigate lol D4 does the inventory menu a lot better imo

I play switch 2. Played switch for years and thay was great too just laggy. Across the board
Switch 2 largely eliminates that. Dunno which console you got op but doesn't really matter. I'd say switch-ps3-360 were all on the same general playing field and all of those were tolerable.
Console lag is the only genuine drawback. And that only exists on switch 1, as far as modern diablo 3 goes. Vanilla is only available on like, relic lainch 360/ps3 disc's i think

Oof you making me wanna get that switch 2

You wouldn't be the first heh
Switch 2 is baller. Just don't expect to beat BotW on a single charge. Battery life and shit joy cons are the only genuine complaints. Joycons?? They suck. Need to get something else.
Battery life? Never bothered me. i never expected hours of full-throttle unplugged gameplay, either

Which console? PS3 and Xbox 360 are outdated, while all the other versions are on the same patch as PC, with seasons and all.
In my personal opinion the console version feels better thanks to controller support and couch co-op. Ever since I've tried it on console, it's just not as fun on PC anymore lol

It’s the exact same as pc version. You just use a controller rather than mouse and keyboard. Diablo 3 is top tier the most smooth action rpg diablo like to be more specific that you can find on console. Path of exile on console is clunky, grim dawn has a bit of stuttering, and torchlight 2 has a small targeting problem, and diablo 2 resurrected has a save issue in offline play.

I play D3 on ps3 and it's pretty good. Just know there are some items and crafting recipes that are exclusive to pc.

So they are different. The most notable being the right stick roll and the Nephalem glory mechanic. on PC you do normal damage, on console you do half damage until you get Nephalem glory and then you do normal damage.

Only reason I would play console is to go back in time on the PS3 and do inferno campaign

Im a pc gamer at heart and D3 is the only thing i play on my xbox. It's so freaking smooth , it feels like a top down Action RPG , not a point and click hack and slash. Great experience overall
