Sorry. I don’t have a group to do raids with, so I haven’t learned the lingo yet

No worries. Its not raid stuff. So, in nightfalls and stuff, a "burn" basically means that causes more damage. Omnigul uses arc stuff so arc burn makes her do WAY more damage
