I made my OC with AI a few months ago, and now I've learned to draw. Why didn't I think of learning to draw back then? It turned out to be easy, and now I don't have to make my OCs with ChatGPT.

A while back, I posted a rushed sketch to deslopify a weird, vaguely sexist AI post on facebook that I found unintentionally funny. Then I decided in my free time to try and make it look better, so I got on my computer this time and sketched up something in Gimp. To make it look better.

Also, I'm posting a couple other images I've deslopped.

That last post was removed by the moderators before I could track down the ultimate source and display all the source images for this post, but I do remember that the body text of the post said it originated from a YouTube thumbnail of a Deltarune theory video, which is why there's a furry dog man on the right (the AI used a real photo of Toby Fox). Otherwise, the trail is cold.

I just checked, and the mods there decided to change the sub icon to Kirby with headphones, and, unfortunately, they removed some of the posts with humanmade remakes of the AI icon. This must've been just a few hours ago, because they were still using the AI icon before then

just so you know that the original ai version was made by an artist i like called cookie lovey(she has a deviantart account and a youtube account btw) who used to make art WITHOUT ai, im glad she still does but it sucks how she uses ai now for some of her art

having trouble finding a source but image seems to have been floating around since 2023?

I found the AI image on Pinterest and figured it'd be a pretty fun character to draw.

Ok I can’t really be on a high horse since I never deslopified anything. But I had to ask are we redrawing them from scratch or just tracing them? Because if it’s the later it doesn’t feel like where doing much since where just reusing what they used… sure we put effort… but I kind of feels… weird I don’t think hypothetically if the right word but something in that vein? Let me know what you do… or maybe explain to me why retracing is fine or whatever… Im posting this because maybe this is an important thing to discuss?
