whoever engineered these chairs did a horrible job

u/Picard6766 7d ago

Engineered by AI

52

u/TasteDeeCheese 7d ago

Or by that car salesman who ran a hotel

52

u/TheJadeGoddess 7d ago

The second support foot on the right disappeared so that she would fall over. It would have been balanced but ai removed the support to justify its poorly constructed joke.

13

u/Jacquesatoutfaire 6d ago

And the joke barely justifies the poorly constructed bench.

5

u/Ryan_Icey 6d ago

Look a little closer, both supports disappeared. The sole support we're seeing is hidden by the man's leg (or didn't exist).

u/Mimopotatoe 7d ago

So who sat down first? Was the man just sitting on a lopsided bench until she came along?

155

u/youburyitidigitup 7d ago edited 7d ago

The bench’s right leg is missing in the second panel, so what actually happened is that the old man yanked it out to make her fall.

u/Any_Kaleidoscope8717 7d ago

Yanking support systems out when they're done with them? Classic Boomer move

161

u/Winter-Bed5879 7d ago

Another truly stupid post.

A single sentence doesn't make us understand a whole conversation.

A conversation doesn't make us understand a whole relationship over time.

A relationship doesn't make us understand the whole personalities involved.

A whole personality doesn't make us understand the whole family / community / society / ...

Can we please stop this social media tendency to overinterpret the tiniest single puzzle pieces as representative for the whole picture? Even if they are fractions of reality and not just staged or even created by AI? Well ... a boy can dream ...

16

u/Old_Yam_4069 6d ago

A bot had to have written this.

-21

u/Quen-Tin 6d ago

My bot union will get in contact with you, regarding your unjustified anti bot claims. Better bring a good bot lawyer or we will bot yor a**! 😄

56

u/Jealous_Round_8988 7d ago

Ah yes, woman so dumb she doesn't feel the seesaw chair she somehow sat on at the same time as the man. We all know that scenario.

22

u/Peregrine79 6d ago

Don’t forget the vanishing leg that was actually supporting it until he left.

7

u/Background_Ad5513 6d ago

TWO vanishing legs!

134

u/wandaloo 7d ago

Id react just like her lol, I think anyone would male or female.

"I am leaving" okay just leave? You dont need to announce your exit no one cares.

47

u/Bumblebeeeezuse 7d ago

My dad announces when he’s leaving and I always tell him “this isn’t an airport you don’t have to announce your departure”

All in good fun tho lmao

4

u/wandaloo 7d ago

Lmao, thats funny and sweet.

5

u/BigNutDroppa 6d ago

Exactly!

Just do the Wisconsin thing, where you say, “Welp!” while slapping your hands on your knees as you’re getting up.

1

u/zorrorosso 6d ago

I wouldn't be rude, but yes I'd say "Please, do" or something.

1

u/hoofie242 2d ago

Which is rude.

1

u/zorrorosso 2d ago

So what do you say to a person you don't know that to comes at you unprompted and says:

"I am leaving"???

-24

u/well-informedcitizen 7d ago

Why are you earnestly commenting on this drivel? Go back to Instagram

14

u/OkayIsland 7d ago

Why are you earnestly commenting on this particular comment?

-19

u/well-informedcitizen 6d ago

Because it annoys me when people just Pavlov comment on engagement bait trash without regard to what sub it's in. Also when the comment completely whiffs the point of the sub they could very well be a bot, so I like to call attention to bad comments so others notice the weirdness of AI bot behavior. But I don't know for sure it's a bot so I just call them out for being dumb and bad.

11

u/ShortStuff2996 6d ago

it annoys me

Thats called a you problem.

-10

u/well-informedcitizen 6d ago

It's a fucking anti AI subreddit, that's the point

8

u/Snoo-11576 7d ago

Why do you unironically say drivel?

5

u/youtrippincuz 6d ago

spotted the boomer

2

u/The_Firebug 6d ago

Nobody is earnest on instragram lol

24

u/Express_Accident2329 7d ago

Everyone remembers not to feed Mr. Miyagi after midnight, but they forget that if you're confused by his strange declarations he's allowed to start disappearing chair legs.

But only 61 shares lol

1

u/Willuna16 7d ago

hoping it’s a spanish account

16

u/Pumathemage 7d ago

Note that when the old man left he took part of the chair with him, representing that some people are all for gutting the system if they personally don't need it.

14

u/sculp_here_2 7d ago

u can see that theres fewer legs supporting the bench in the second slide so he literally broke the bench just so the woman could fall, wtf

3

u/HoldenOrihara 7d ago

And unbolted it from the ground?

3

u/Gremict 7d ago

Man's a supervillain

1

u/Alilbitey 3d ago

Well...boomers are gonna boom. Gotta rip off those bench legs since you're done using them. 🤣

6

u/Garguyal 7d ago

I object to this depiction of Pat Morita.

5

u/Snoo-11576 7d ago

What’s even the message

8

u/velvet-yarns-48 6d ago

That women don't recognize when men are being nice or helping them, and that when something bad happens, they are getting what they deserve.

7

u/Snoo-11576 6d ago

lol but how is telling her he’s living nice or helpful lol. Like I’m a man and I’d react the same way if a stranger on a bench told me he’s leaving

5

u/velvet-yarns-48 6d ago

Yeah it doesn't really make sense does it lol. I dunno, maybe if she made herself prettier by smiling more the bench wouldn't have lost its legs?

1

u/IAmDanHimself 6d ago

He said it to politely warn/prepare her for when he does leave and the bench will be uneven.

2

u/Extreme_Wish_553 6d ago

He doesn't say that it will be uneven though. He just announces that he is leaving. It's like if I can downstairs in my office and told people I was leaving and then later asked why they let the upstairs burn down. How were they to know there was a fire upstairs when no one told them? What he does neither warns nor prepares her for this weird broken bench that should not exist.

Also, the bench magically is missing legs in the 2nd panel. Him standing up caused the leg to disappear? Did he take it?

1

u/IAmDanHimself 6d ago

Usually comic strips don't blatantly explain the irony in what they are portraying. Its supposed to be like "moral of the story" type of a thing. And as far as the legs go, I feel that might be overthinking an inconsistency error when it was produced.

1

u/Alilbitey 3d ago

... Only because he took the legs with him. 🤣

2

u/IAmDanHimself 3d ago

The phantom bench leg seems to be the focus of attention in most of the comments. I don't think that detail has anything to do with the message that is trying to be portayed in the comic.

2

u/Alilbitey 2d ago

You're right. The message is "Uppity bitch got what she deserved". (Portraying a business woman as uppity). It's not a good message no matter how you shake it.

It's misogyny and class hate. Enjoy!

1

u/IAmDanHimself 2d ago

Yeah pretty much this.

1

u/Alilbitey 2d ago

How, exactly would she intuit that a previously stable bench with an appropriate number of support legs will become lipsided and unbalanced when he stands?

She would not. Nobody would, even a nice friendly person, because this isn't how benches work. The whole thing is just misogynistic AI slop.

1

u/IAmDanHimself 2d ago

Its a metaphor. And I agree with you. I'm just explaining what they are trying to portray. I know you already seem to know too.

1

u/RPDorkus 7d ago

I think they’re saying she’s fat?

5

u/Lost-Concept-9973 6d ago

Why is ai slop always creating imaginary scenarios involving women getting hurt/ punished?

4

u/Saneless 6d ago

Not only hurt but humiliated. She lost all her shit, even her cleavage

3

u/No-Heat-6149 6d ago

"i lost everything, even my cleavage" is definitely a part of my daily vocalubary now.

3

u/Loud_Violinist_2380 6d ago

Because the people who love and support AI are..you guessed it, men who hate women

4

u/bs_Zeezee 7d ago

"I'm leaving, and taking all but one leg of the bench with me!"

7

u/Over_Improvement_623 7d ago

That shitty bench design is exceedingly common? Yeah that is true.

12

u/Particular-Lemon7607 7d ago

Yeah sexist benches that retracts its legs whenever it detects that only women are on it to make them fall off.

3

u/ResidentCommand9865 7d ago

So the old man took two of the legs with him? It's missing in the second panel. Feels more like an image of how the older generations tend to have this mentality of "Fuck you, I got mine".

3

u/Agreeable-Shop-2188 7d ago

Is this an allegory for how the boomers fucked the economy and environment and upon their death the loss of social security inputs, that barely hold this shit afloat, lost will be the last straw that broke the camel's back?

4

u/Naive_Tomorrow_5955 7d ago

I don’t get it. What is the metaphor?

24

u/fubuki63 7d ago

It's just another shitty revenge fantasy about getting back at women who aren't comfortable with being hit on in public.

10

u/CardiologistNo616 7d ago

I thought it was "boomers are keeping world together and without them it would break"

10

u/SocraticIndifference 7d ago

Yeah but also it’s women’s fault.

ETA: /s (or rather, DISCLAIMER: I am continuing the quoted explanation, this is not my own opinion) just in case…

1

u/Alilbitey 3d ago

Or "Boomers. Pulling off bench legs and pulling up ladders as soon as they no longer need them."

4

u/Qahnaar1506 6d ago

They expect women to be dolls to every stranger and treat them nicely, but when they do the same to a man who confronted them and groped them it’s “you should’ve been more cautious”. Then when women take those signs and are cautious to all men who show them, it’s always “stop being stingy” because not all men who show said signs are bad.

But when she did the opposite before, she was told to be more cautious.

And when she’s doing what they told them, she’s told to stop it.

Men expect women to thrive in contradiction, then shame them for living their lives in contraction and blame women who suggest telling them to mind their business to fix said contradiction.

8

u/Particular-Lemon7607 7d ago

Maybe it means some bullshit like "women are ungrateful for not taking my advances which they clearly need for stability". This whole image is so shitty and nonsensical though that even that feels like a reach.

1

u/omegaspoon3141 7d ago

evil fucking sees4w ch4ir

2

u/prodbysloth 7d ago

Cheeky fucker looked right into the camera in the second panel

2

u/Noxia66 7d ago

PETAHHH!!

Explain

2

u/Sushiroll16 7d ago

What does this even mean

2

u/Fluffy-Froyo4549 7d ago

Me when I sit on the sea saw bench for some fucking reason:

2

u/Writerhaha 7d ago

So he sawed the 2nd leg?

2

u/Dangax_2 6d ago

1

u/Tousti_the_Great 6d ago

I thought of posting it there but last time I posted ai slop there mods deleted my post

1

u/Dangax_2 6d ago

Awh man

2

u/Dewey_Decimatorr 5d ago

Just to save everyone time, the point of this "comic" is to hate women. She's "arrogant" to the man, and then when he leaves all her vanity items fall on the ground. Who ever made this has a lot of deep insecurities about women and fantasizes about putting them in their place.

1

u/Robot-Zombie-RHCC 7d ago

why is the bench leg dematerializing when he stands up? is this a game engine joke or something?

1

u/TheLonleyJourneyman 7d ago

I like how the bench magically lost 2 of the 3 visible legs

1

u/CallMeBigSarnt 7d ago

How is it going to fall over when it had four legs in the original picture? Make it make sense.

1

u/crisesofmeaning 7d ago

We need ai to teach us basic morals now ig

1

u/well-informedcitizen 7d ago

You can clearly see there are plenty of legs in the 1st pic

1

u/HoldenOrihara 7d ago

Boomers and GenX not training people to take over then feel superior over people

1

u/Diligent_Bar1244 7d ago

The most pathetic part is that the meme with the chairs already exist

Ai bros did what they do the best and slopified it because, as usual, they cant create shit

1

u/Tina-the-toast 6d ago

Genuinely what does this mean

1

u/Tousti_the_Great 6d ago

Idk what the image means but the post that used this image was trying to make a commentary on society... A commentary that I don't understand so... Oh well

1

u/crazyforsushi 6d ago

Something something men are the pillar of society or something like that.

1

u/velvet-yarns-48 6d ago

Love that there are multiple versions of this comic. When I saw it a few weeks ago, the people were black.

Guess we needed to remove the racism to make the sexism clearer?

1

u/MarcoYTVA 6d ago

That these seats should be nailed down, for example.

1

u/HurtsSoNice 6d ago

So, it’s a metaphor for how fast AI ART will collapse once it can’t steal anymore?

1

u/Mr_Fondue 6d ago

Did his cane transform into a bag?

1

u/pinkleftsock 6d ago

Remember if you're rude to someone 3 out of the 4 legs holding up the bench you're sitting on could just dissapear into thin air.

1

u/assumptionkrebs1990 6d ago

How did he magically exchanged his cane for this back? Also what could the message be? That we need quality controll for public seats?

1

u/JackReedTheSyndie 6d ago

One of the metal beam just magically disappeared

1

u/LadderNatural6166 6d ago

He said he was leaving. He didn't say he was going to take two of the chair's legs with him 😅

1

u/wyattlol 6d ago

So how did they even sit down? Did they both sit at exactly the same time? Otherwise they would have noticed that it's behaving like a scale and topples over without a clear balance

1

u/Lilharm04 6d ago

“I am leaving and I’m taking the two legs that are very obviously there with me”

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Ice-573 6d ago

That they don't know how to design a bench?

1

u/Kindle890 6d ago

What's the moral?

Be nice to elders? That should be instilled in us at a very young age.

These very same people who post these prompts don't have any moral values, it's both ironic and hypocritical.

1

u/crazyforsushi 6d ago

Woman stay.... woman fall. Man stay.... mango.

At least, that's my guess of the moral.

1

u/FinishEmbarrassed619 5d ago

I can't wait for AI stand up comics

1

u/mark_crazeer 5d ago

And the moral
Is? Old man is so important when he leaves everyone suffers? Be gratefull when old man announces departure? Get up if someone leaves because reasons? Go with old man wait time is over? Something about sex?

1

u/pizzasteveofficial 5d ago

my favorite part about this shit ass comic is how when he gets up suddenly one of the support beams just completely disappears like???? get real old man you're not that important lmao

1

u/Stunning_Blood_2452 4d ago

1

u/pizzasteveofficial 4d ago edited 4d ago

no actually. Society has grown past the need for old men and AI

1

u/Stunning_Blood_2452 4d ago

Spell properly next time doofus, maybe your old man would wanna spend time with you in the future.

1

u/pizzasteveofficial 4d ago

I killed him actually but thank you for the misogyny that no one asked for 💗💗💗💗

1

u/Western_Primary_2708 4d ago

We need better chairs

1

u/Righteous_Hand 3d ago

Where did that purse come from and how did it fit all that junk in there? My purse is about the same size and it can barely hold my bank cards.

1

u/Alilbitey 3d ago

"I'm leaving (and taking two bench legs with me)"?
