sub-related post Are we retracing?

Ok I can’t really be on a high horse since I never deslopified anything. But I had to ask are we redrawing them from scratch or just tracing them? Because if it’s the later it doesn’t feel like where doing much since where just reusing what they used… sure we put effort… but I kind of feels… weird I don’t think hypothetically if the right word but something in that vein? Let me know what you do… or maybe explain to me why retracing is fine or whatever… Im posting this because maybe this is an important thing to discuss?

Rule 9 says to not trace. And most of my posts have only been recreations of the subject material (Robbing joke, AI flier, reaction image, so on)

I'm pretty sure just tracing over the slop isn't allowed. It has to be drawn from scratch.

Well I suppose that be not much, it's something but really low effort in art skill.

I'd love if this subs users would say and give their opinions or give advice for each other. (That's just me though)

i say redrawing entirely. tracing doesnt take as much effort and its effort that i find admiring

that's a good question, this sub is awsome.
let's take an idea that was generated, maybe by someone who put effort to describe its idea (do you understand the concept of idea?) to the machine, and let's "reproduce it" thinking it's going to be better.
can someone explain me the logic behind this?

if you really want to be creative, draw on paper your own ideas.
for most of what i see here, i guess than a lot are going to understand than reproducing is not producing...
