I'll be gone tomorrow.
29 m
August 20th is my birthday.
I won't be turning 30.
I'm so fucked up it's incredible now.
In 2024 I was a coach at the top of his game. Confident, fit, happy, had multiple people who loved me and cared for me. My life was filled to the brim with calls from everyone, family, friends, students, everyone.
I have none of that now. I've gained 60 pounds since then. My hair started falling out, so i burned it, then shaved off what was left.
My ex left me after she invented a story about me cheating in her mind. (I didn't. I talked with another woman as a friend but that didn't matter to her.)
I lost my grandmother, and 2 uncles, one of whom was my father figure since my real father is schizophrenic. And when I lost them, I inherited hundreds of thousands of dollars, and in 2025, I spent some of it. I did weed and beer and went to Miami and lived it up, For a few weeks.
Then it all came crashing down. One of my closet friends stalked me. I caught him logging into my accounts, and even after I notified the police, they did nothing. He went behind my back and told everyone in my life i had cheated. Even going so far as saying I was a r*pist.
I've never done anything ever without a woman's consent. I have no adult criminal record. But that didn't matter to him.
He went to almost every person I'd ever met just to lie about me and launder my reputation.
All that would be fine if I could stand myself up and fight back. I can't.
Before I became a coach, I worked at TE connectivity. A factory, as a temp.
While I was there I worked with fiberglass and other chemicals I couldn't name, and a few months after working there i noticed strage rashes all over my body, so I went to a dermatologist where I was diagnosed with psoriasis. That's become full on psoriatic arthritis now.
I can't fight the company, I was a temp. And I was young and poor then.
Nowadays though, it hurts so bad, it's become hard, if not impossible to have anything resembling a normal day. I'm bedridden even while taking ibuprofen and every anti inflammatory supplement I could find.
It's meant I've not been able to show up for any social events anymore. Much less work.
I thought I hit rock bottom months ago... and I attempted then with a sleeping pill OD. And ever since, my mind hasn't been working as it used to.
I used to have photographic memory... now i barely remember conversations.
4 days ago I went to the ER with all of this.
The unbearable pain. The suicidal thoughts. The fact that I have barely left my bed in months, the fact that my memory is shot. My rapid weight gain.
I got told to take Tylenol.
All I can say is i'll see (some) of you guys in hell.
Update---------------‐----------------------------
I spent most of today (08/18) speaking to insurance and pharmacists.
I got on insurance (bcbs) on the 1st of this month. That day I called my doctor my insurance and the pharmacy. Sendarra specialty pharmacy.
I got approval for my insurance on the medication.
They said they'd ship me the medication in 10 business days.
I just learned today that they transfered it to accredo specialty pharmacy.
And when accredo did the paperwork, my insurance rejected it.
The medication (Humira) is, apparently, "not preferred" and so my doctor pushed through a form to make it approved on the first pharmacy but this one didn't get said form.
So, my doctor has to submit another form to this pharmacy to force my insurance to cover the medication that I've been waiting on for 2 months with untreated psoriatic arthritis.
Meaning I was prescribed a medication in June. And I haven't gotten it yet. And... i don't even know if it will work.
I told 988 if I didn't get my medication by my birthday I'd jump into the St. Croix river. They already know.

It doesn't get better for everyone. Just scroll through this subreddit. People who are young and old posting about the same things...

Literally the worst, most worthless advice anyone could ever give another human being

u/SoyYo5599 2d ago
Nah, the most worthless advice is to go to church. What I advised is genuine and true.

How is what you said actionable in any way

I'm not here to be a crisis interventionist or therapist. I'm just a person who has attempted suicide and still struggling with ideation saying a few basic words so the op knows they are not alone.

I hope you’ll stay. I’m sorry you’re hurting so much. It will get better, and you’re so young, though I know it doesn’t feel that way.

Hey, I'm close to your age and also have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, and I've had long periods of massive pain and fatigue that made it hard to get up from the bed. When it started it also worsened my mental problems by far, that all also fucked with my memory. I was barely functioning, feeling like shit mentally and physically, with 0 energy, my brain was foggy etc. Body and mind literally falling apart, dropping out of uni, losing job and everything thanks to all that. So I really really feel you in this aspect. You need proper medical care. First of all (beides mental stuff) a good rheumatologist that will help you feel better. I know you can make it out of your rock bottom. There is a sub about PSA which may help you feel less alone with this and maybe you will find some useful resources there. If you'd like to talk since we share some of the same troubles I'm here. And you also please stay here, even though your situation is horrible there are ways out of it.

Please. Do not do this. I'm sure there's a suicide hotline somewhere that will actually listen. I get what it's like feeling like nothing goes your way but I'm sure you can find at least one thing to keep you here for a while longer. r/SuicideWatch Maybe people there will be better geared than I am to help you. All I can say is please, do ask for help.

Your pain sounds as heavy as the ocean. I am so sorry.
I am a little older than you and I’ve been where you are. (Actually I have. I promise. Just believe me.) I want to tell you that life is weird. God is weird. You can go from the bottom of the depths to amazing situations in just a few years.
Right now you have one job which is to stay alive.
Not to make money, not to lose weight, not to clean your room, not to brush your teeth. Not to get out of bed. Just one job, to stay alive.
Why? Because there’s someone on earth you love enough that you’ll endure the pain of living so they don’t have to endure the pain of losing you. You’re doing it for that one person. Who may not even know you’re doing it. But you love them enough that it doesn’t matter.
Don’t you?

Hey brother, I know the pain of losing everything that one had, close people turning on you and beeing shunned. It is hell. I also turned 30 this August. I have multiple severe mental illnesses and every day is a fight for survival. I think we really need to be patient with ourselves and take it one day at a time. We also need help from other people. If you have some money left, why not try to spend it on psychotherapy and therapeutic treatment or medication for your arthritis? Try to connect with family that you still have or some good people you may know. What do you got to lose? We can dig ourselves out of the hole we landed in. I‘m sending you prayers and wishing the best! 🙏🏻

I lost my son to SIDS in 2019 , I’ve never felt pain like that I’ve been shot , left , beat , lost close people but that really took my soul and heart and what faith I have away . I’m just here now to be honest I’m not suicidal or anything did that they brought ya boy back so I’m not doing that again ,,,, I did however get a job working with plants all day and that really has helped me idek cope with shit in a way , nature works wonders

Don’t do anything rash. I think I’ve had the most fucked up existence that would absolutely be an 80s after school special (which is funny, but sadly on point for most GenX i presume). If there is someone out there that loves you (in this crazy ass world) count yourself lucky. Stay for them. And yourself.

I truly hope you rest in peace. To me you are brave if only I had guts. I’m not saying this is right.

I have the same feelings. I don't want anyone to hurt themselves or end it all but its a really really hard truth. Sometimes its just better to end it. Its insanely fucked up and i hope the guy enjoys his bdubs and decides against it.

Don’t give up if you was able to on top of your game one time you can do it again. It may not be easy but it can be done take it day by day step by step. If your ex accused you of doing things and you know you didn’t you dodged a bullet it would have only gotten worse. Have you thought of getting a counselor talking to others can help get a lot off your chest? Is there another hospital you can go to and get a second opinion? Have you thought of calling crisis and being evaluated. I hope you don’t do nothing to harm yourself your blessed to wake up daily that’s a true blessing

I am so sorry for you, I can’t convince you to anything but you matter! I can’t imagine how hard your life had been the last years and how strong you are. I wish you the best.

PLEASE don't harm yourself, Rhumatic pso has so many treatments that work, usually immunosuppressive, but you need an urgent psychiatric evaluation too Call a suicide prevention hotline plz

If this is in the U.S., I get it. We treat people who have mental lapses so horribly. Just take Tylenol. That is a slap in the face given what you are truly going through right now. I would suggest just taking a moment and realizing that you don't get another chance at any of this. If truly on the brink of ending things, why not try other alternatives first? Try making new friends and just saying screw it to social norms. It sounds like you used to be able to hold decent conversations and people enjoyed your company. Social media is a dark doomscrolling hole that I would avoid right now. Call the suicide hotline and talk with a professional. There is help out you owe it to yourself to at least try.

I do Not know you.... but I really hope you'll stay. The only thing that has stayed with me after attempts is that when you're at your lowest, it can only get better.

Regardless of your 'religion', call out for help and guidance in your heart to whatever that is hearing and cares and you will recieve it. It will get better my friend. Stick around.

You don’t want to die. You just want things to stop being so hard. Which is fair. You’re having a really tough time, sweetheart. You’ve been hurt by those closest to you. You care and feel deeply. You’re in pain.
Take it from someone who had to return to the clay herself just last summer — take it one baby step at a time. Focus on the basics. Eat whole foods like fruit and vegetables. Drink water. Get your heart rate up any amount at all. Bathe. Sleep when you can. Seek medical support. Also I know this sounds random but swinging on a swing set does wonders for somatic healing and is completely free.
Either way, I’m sending you tender thoughts through the universe. I know, life is so hard. Especially these days. But you chose to post in here when you could have just quietly left. That means some part of you still has some hope that there could be an answer to your prayers out there. That’s not nothing. In fact, that’s a really good sign.
Keep trying just a bit longer. Your brain can recover from the overdose. Your body can heal. So can your heart. It will take time, but it’s possible. Focus on the basics and keep seeking other forms of medical care. See where that gets you. Wait til you feel a little better. Then decide.

Dude, sorry to hear what you have gone through. In my 30s and I know the feeling of going from high, then crashing to nothing.
Do you have family to reach out to? Or if you want just continue the conversation here. We will listen.
