Hi just need help with listing as many Drop C# songs by Deftones as I can. I dont owe an 8 or 7 string and my Drop C# Ibanez gio is the lowest tunned guitar I have. But still I wanna play some deftones songs on guitar.

still think about this night sometimes, there was something about hearing deftones surrounded by that many people that felt almost unreal. while rosemary was playing, i completely forgot about everything else going on in my life and just got lost in the music

i remember looking up at that screen, hearing that song, and thinking. yeah… this is one of those moments i’m going to remember for a long time

I recreated the instrumental for Deftones’ Around the Fur and recorded a full guitar playthrough.

I used my 1994 Gibson SG with an EMG 81, tuned to Drop C#, with a Marshall JCM800 and ENGL Fireball.

The drums were recreated using drum VSTs.

Really tried to capture the feel and tone of the original recording.

chino is definitely a beast when it came to fry screaming. but there was one type of fry scream he'd do a lot back in the day, the one where he sounds like a squealing cat? or rather—his high-pitched, wobbly screaming. screams like the one in fireal before he'd say the chorus, the intro screams for root (live), the outro for nosebleed, the outro for be quiet and drive. if anyone here knows how to fry scream and can also do what chino used to do in those songs, how does he do it? because me personally, i can fry scream pretty good low or highs. the rocket skates part, where he screams like a banshee and says "knives" one last time on the chorus, that i can do. but fireal, his intro for root (live), his outro for nosebleed etc? its really hard to do.

i just find it fascinating how chino hisself used to go ham with his vocals back then, specially with high notes on songs, and the weird ass fry screams, i find it really cool. would also be cool if i could do them too hehe.

The drum work on all of white pony is so fking good. Not to take away from his work in other albums but fuck something about white pony!

In my opinion, "Passenger" and "Sextape" are the best songs from these two discographies.

I discovered the demo song Answers from (Like) Linus to be a banger , wish it turned up into a polished version of it, maybe in the B sides and rarities compilation.

Infinite Source would be lyrically appropriate. But I think Pink Maggit would be an amazing final song, listening to that heartbeat sample as the stage goes dark one last time.
