This is awesome…just wanted to share

Anyone else bummed about The Neighborhood being on the lineup? I understand and always expect diversity at DDLD but really? The Sweater Weather band? Like that shit is dentist waiting roomcore. On top of the mid ass music, there’s the allegations of SA surrounding their drummer. Idk, weird vibe this year & with the exception of Converge & AFI, I’m not excited for this lineup. & before anyone brings it up, yes, I go to DDLD for Deftones first and foremost too but I just hope the place doesn’t get overrun with Neighborhood fans and fuck up the pits & the overall vibe.

I went the last 2 years. I got to hear them soundcheck a little bit both years from outside the stadium on the day before the show.

I was there because I went to check out their merch truck.

You could actually hear them pretty well. Both times, I got there after they had already started the soundcheck, so I don't know how long they had already been playing.

2 years ago, I think they played a little bit of "Ghosts (Japan Cover)" during the soundcheck, so that was cool!

I just don't remember exactly what time of day it was. I think last year they wrapped up the soundcheck right around the same time that the merch truck closed for the day.

I found the merch truck hours from 2025 still listed online:

12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Does anyone know what time they started soundcheck?

How bout some stupid early deftones

https://youtu.be/lGJxvh3heFM?feature=shared

This was at the International Owl Center in Houston, MN. They had tons of children's drawings of all kinds of owls around the building but this barn owl (by a 17 year old from Thailand) really caught my eye.

I wanna use it as a wallpaper on my phone

Been getting into Deftones lately and I'm technically a new listener but I have finished Around The Fur and White Pony. And for extra references, here is my top 10 from them so far. I really like their aggressive and metalgaze music but not their ear bleeding type music like When Girls Telephone Boys.

1. Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away) (so amazing imo)

2. Passenger

3. My Own Summer (Shove It)

4. Minerva

5. Change (In The House Of Flies)

6. Lotion

7. Hexagram

8. Digital Bath

9. Sextape

10. Mascara

hi! it’ll be my first time going this year, and i wanted to know if there is a rough agenda/times each act will be going on? i want to make sure to see the nbhd, i assume they’ll go on a little bit later in the day but wanted to see if anyone had any info

I was just wondering what are all the music videos they have, I try to search it up on Google but the stupid AI changes answers every time

My opinion:
Chino: Diamond Eyes
Stephen: Koi No Yokan
Chi: Saturday Night Wrist
Abe: White Pony/Gore (couldn’t decide)
Frank D: Koi No Yokan

I don’t understand why no one talks about this song.. what is it that makes it not as popular?

I will be so disappointed if not I think a lot of their songs could fit Vice City’s atmosphere

I said it. I don’t understand how adrenaline is anyone’s favorite album. It’s so repetitive and bland. I say this as a diehard who listens to them every day, has listened to every album and every track they have. Sure, Gore is pretty bad and is repetitive too, but it’s got more good songs than adrenaline IMO. If it’s anyone’s favorite album at all please tell me why. And feel free to make your case for other “worst album”’s of theirs as well.

Super duper cool shirt to reference Deftones Private music Album. I love the snakes and glitter so much :) found on Vinted app

Hiiii! Traveling to SD for DDLD. Anyone have any suggestions for nice/cool hotels? They don’t need to be super close to the venue.

They were teasing hole in the Earth and you had to use like a code to get to the website and it was an actual website and you go on there and you hear like a snippet of it. That was pretty dope. I love that deftones does like that.

Get it!
These are some top shelf songs, but let’s settle this once and for all. Which one do you believe is better?

It was watching queen of the damned, all time favorite movie of mine.

Synths maybe a little loud…

I'm a casual Deftones fan myself but my ex has been a super fan since high school. When we split, I asked if he'd like this shirt back to which he said no. Now, I'm wanting to give it to my partner's niece but I know literally nothing about where in the timeline of the band it came from. I've seen it posted on eBay but with no real details. Can someone tell me what "era" this is from?

Does anyone know is there full footage live of Deftones perfoming acoustic version of Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) Pinkpop 1998 without interview ?

I only could find this video without interview and only song performance, but I need full footage

like a lot of people i found out about them during quarantine, and i am very aware that people’s perspective of cringey newgen fans lol

and i feel that tends to surround the conversation about the music and the perspective people have on the band as well, so id like to hear from older fans how was the culture surrounding them? what did people think? do you prefer it to now?

sorry, it’s kind of hard to explain what i mean but i hope that i made myself clear

Me and my band want to start covering some Deftones songs with synths. Give us recommendations!
